The Market 給我的印像是全城最難預訂,然而在一星期前竟能訂到星期五晚的位子,有感食神眷顧,於是懷着些微興奮的心情前往。吃自助餐必先吃冷盤,先來一盤雜綿海鮮。本來我對冷冰冰的海鮮興趣不大,因為不經調味,感覺吃起來都差不多,但光顧自助餐不吃海鮮回不了本,所以總會吃一些。出乎意料是這次竟然有驚喜,各種海鮮的鮮味突出,尤其蟹腳鮮甜肉嫩,就連不愛吃龍蝦的我也覺得它味道不錯,沒有我預想的味道單調,能夠吃出每種海鮮的不同鮮甜。刺身壽司選擇偏少,三文魚無味又乾,差評!北海道帶子鮮味不俗,最好吃是甘海老,吸吮蝦頭一股鮮甜湧上來,甜味鮮明,可惜蝦身較細少,每次給一隻不夠吃。好吃的東西要encore! 順道拿了左口魚裙邊壽司,左口魚裙邊是我的最愛,超喜歡滿口油脂香的感覺,可是這件左口魚似被脫水的乾得要命,飯又散掉,非常差。鵝肝早就煎好放涼,客人點的時候,服務員把鵝肝兩面放爐上燙一秒,真的只有一秒! 倒不如不燙,感覺被耍了......然而味道比我預期好很多,油脂香很足,就差在不熱有損完美。麵包不是鵝肝的原配,這是我自行在麵包籃取來,質素差,沒有麵包香,口感粗糙。肝醬批味道平平,沒有內臟常見的濃郁味道

自助餐必先吃冷盤,先來一盤雜綿海鮮。本來我對冷冰冰的海鮮興趣不大,因為不經調味,感覺吃起來都差不多,但光顧自助餐不吃海鮮回不了本,所以總會吃一些。出乎意料是這次竟然有驚喜,各種海鮮的鮮味突出,尤其蟹腳鮮甜肉嫩,就連不愛吃龍蝦的我也覺得它味道不錯,沒有我預想的味道單調,能夠吃出每種海鮮的不同鮮甜。

鵝肝早就煎好放涼,客人點的時候,服務員把鵝肝兩面放爐上燙一秒,真的只有一秒! 倒不如不燙,感覺被耍了......然而味道比我預期好很多,油脂香很足,就差在不熱有損完美。麵包不是鵝肝的原配,這是我自行在麵包籃取來,質素差,沒有麵包香,口感粗糙。

肝醬批味道平平,沒有內臟常見的濃郁味道,口感又太硬,不值一吃。

火腿咸香味不俗,但太乾,可吃或不吃。蜜瓜不算甜也不多汁,但是火腿太乾,配着蜜瓜吃比較好。

黑松露蟹肉多士配魚子醬主要吃到黑松露與白汁醬的味道,香濃creamy,其他不太感覺到。多士有一點潮了的感覺,硬得不尋常,不過至少得吃一件享受醬料的味道。

自助餐提供四種純芝士,羊奶芝士與聖寶利芝士苦苦的,不合我的口味。金文畢芝士本來就是我愛的,味道頗濃烈,但沒到苦的程度,站在快要苦又不苦的平衡點,帶給味蕾刺激。合桃芝士最好吃,入口先是芝士的味道,接着上來一股濃郁的合核香且帶一點甜,味道稍作停留口腔之中,令人印象深刻。

蕃茄芝士沙律就是蕃茄與Feta cheese的組合,蕃茄沒特別,Feta cheese又是我愛吃的芝士,這個完全不苦,濃烈的奶香與濕潤的口感貼服於味蕾上,特別令人有滿足感。

清蒸沙巴龍躉口感不算嫩,但整體感覺OK,我平常不多機會吃到魚,吃一些也無妨。

泰式海鮮粉絲太乾了,但我又特別愛吃炒粉絲的嚼頭,我不但吃完碟上的,更要自我克制着才沒有多拿一次。

燒肉眼扒超硬,已經沒注意到牛味是否突出,一件也吃不完。

燒羊架肉質頗嫩,雖然能吃到羊膻氣,但對於愛吃羊的人來說不夠過癮, 不過正好給怕羊膻氣的人一嚐羊肉的滋味。

吃過海鮮刺身後吃一盅椰子雪耳燉雞湯,既能暖胃,而且味道很好。椰子的清甜滿溢,雪耳軟滑得很,而且我喜歡它沒什麼肉在湯裡,有限的胃部空間可不想花在精華已被湯水吸去的肉上。

榴槤是這次自助餐的主題,但不吃榴槤的人也不用擔心,餐廳沒有飄着榴連的味道,而且不吃榴槤還有很多其他選擇,我可是完全沒碰過任何榴槤咸食。

這裡的脆炸榴槤球跟放題吃到的不同,它的表面不脆,而是暖暖的軟糯米皮,配合濃郁的榴槤饀。我喜歡吃炸物,所以更喜歡放題炸的那種,而且自助餐做的不是現炸,放涼了只到暖的程度,但肯定要吃一個,味道確實不比放題差。

榴槤菠蘿包沒個味道,包竟然是硬的,我彷彿把一個假殼放入口......

榴蓮奶凍富有榴槤香,而且滑滑的,值得一吃。

榴槤芝士撻兩者味道互相融入,味道濃郁,而且做成超級迷你的大小,吃兩三粒也不妨礙食力。

檸檬撻味道到位,但有點乾, 不過超級迷你的大小,吃一粒也無妨。

日式芝士蛋糕不軟又不硬,質感模稜兩可,芝士味非常弱,失望。

三重朱古力甜度高,但是與咖啡相配,正好拿來抵抗酒店咖啡必然的苦,而且底部硬中有脆,我特別喜歡吃硬的食物。

榴槤雪糕像真度過高,它根本就是一件假裝雪糕的榴槤。我喜歡榴槤甜品,但真榴槤對我來說過於濃烈,我只吃了三分一,餘下的雪糕在我離開的時候依然維持球狀,可見它是榴槤多於雪糕。

自助餐提供一杯餐飲,如不足夠,可自取果汁,我拿了橙汁。甜味很足,看來不是單以鮮橙做出來,但也不失鮮橙的質感,合格。

向來對自助餐好感甚低,因為價錢貴,但食物平均水準中下,彷彿要自行在堆成山的食物中尋找不難吃的,有一點被玩的感覺......因此近年極少自費光顧自助餐,大多是免費飯局才會吃到。The Market價錢偏貴,不提供生蠔,食物選擇不算多,但對這裡有不錯的好感。雖然前面提及不少食物缺點,但說很難吃的只有兩三種,而且海鮮令人有驚喜,加分不少。以自助餐來說,這家是我願意再光顧的,市面上比它難吃的多了,不過當下質素還是追不上消費水平,要是自己花錢,肯定不會來。環境方面,有感失色,沒有酒店予人的高級感覺,裝潢平淡,真有點大學飯堂的質感 (p.s. 這家酒店由理工大學擁有),而且食物放置地方與座位相距太遠。服務未見出色之處,但也沒有需要等別提出的問題,說到底這裡最大賣點,亦是咱一賣點,就是食物中伏率相對偏低。

The soup today is double boiled sea coconut, snowy fungus with chicken. The soup is always of good quality here, rich chicken and sea coconut flavour, complemented by the soft and sweet snowy fungus. The hot and milky soup is really intense and nourishing.

The durian desserts are of course in great variety and quality as well, especially the durian cheesecake and durian panna cotta! The cheese cake is smooth and rich, with the right balance of cheese and durian taste. The fragrant panna cotta is also very silky, with bits of fresh durian inside!

已聽聞The market的自助餐難book,所以已於九月在網上book定十月,終於到了期待已久的晚餐。一行7人於晚上6:00到步,服務員殷勤的款待,笑容滿面,讓人有relax親切的感覺。坦白說,以800元食一餐沒有生蠔的自助晚餐,的確有些貴,但論食物質素同環境,都是可以接受。這個市道,平一點的話,吸引度會再高些。細食的我,相信只試了一半食物,當中最令人印象深刻必選鵝肝,外皮煎得脆,內裡油香撲鼻,沒帶一點腥味,激讚! 另一推介是中式燉湯,椰子香氣清新,足料。刺身都很新鮮,海鮮粥充滿蟹膏香味,味濃。甜品有十幾廿款種類,其中榴槤控必食榴槤撻同班蘭榴槤蛋糕,好好味,飽到反肚都要食多兩件。 聽聞而家有好多優惠,其中有個連住宿包自助晚餐,應該化算好多,有興趣可試試,當度下假。

先講海鮮,有龍蝦,長腳蟹,蜆,蝦,青口,海鮮好味既,夠鮮同清甜,如果有蠔就更好,不過而家都唔多自助餐做蠔


生果方面有原粒紅毛丹,呢個都係少見,好清甜,都幾配合佢亞洲風既自助餐主題


熱盤方面: 個人喜愛亮點有個燉湯,椰子雪耳雞,好清甜,無味精,雪耳淋到好正,但一開始佢用啲好似好中式既碗裝反而難飲,後來轉左個碗就好好多


另外燒腩仔同鵝肝都好正,又係成餐飯另一亮點,雖然款種唔多,但總體來講係正

榴槤軟殼蟹,榴槤豆腐,榴槤魷魚圈!

喇沙也非常好味,濃得來也不會太咸,好香椰味,麵條也爽口,蝦亦很新鮮,加埋森巴醬,香辣又惹味。

勁可惜係冇哂榴槤雪糕,so sad!

但lunch呢個價係抵食的!

今日特意選擇中午黎試一試佢既榴槤自助餐,一到達,巡視了一圈,我個人覺得好正,中午價錢可以食到好似夜晚晚餐既自助餐咁,有長腳蟹、蟹鉗等,仲有片皮鴨,中午黎講真係幾多野食👍🏻重點來了!!是榴槤!佢所有榴槤甜品都好好食!真係有榴槤肉!好香、好甜!全程自助餐淨食佢都好多款可以食!不過,食得多都幾膩下😂平時自助餐起碼食7-8圈既我,今日都係食左3圈就停曬手😂所以榴槤愛好者黎食先好,唔食既話可以唔洗黎食~

榴槤甜品大概有10款,佔整體甜品嘅一半!問咗職員,原來全部都係用D24嚟整!最好食同足料嘅,其實係擺埋一邊嘅榴槤蓉!每次都拎一大堆再另外加落啲甜品到!另一款必食嘅係榴槤斑蘭卷!中間係滿滿嘅榴槤蓉!外層蛋糕亦夠軟滑同有淡淡斑蘭香!

整體嚟講味道都算唔錯,
榴槤雪糕都幾足料,但都幾膩下,食一球已經夠。
榴槤菠蘿包如果可以暖暖地食,個皮再脆啲會更好。
比較遜色嘅係炸榴槤卷,炸得比較油,咬落唔夠鬆脆,而且入面榴槤餡唔多!

至於非榴槤甜品呢⋯唔知係我嗰日好多都以茶為主嘅問題定點⋯
鐵觀音大菜糕有少少奇怪⋯茉莉茶朱古力蛋糕我會用伏伏地去形容⋯奶凍同三重朱古力蛋糕味道ok,荔枝啫喱同草莓欖油卷都麻麻⋯所以都係主力留肚食返榴槤甜品比較好!

總結:
因為我係星期五食,比閒日貴之餘,又無得用85折優惠,1位連加一要成$800。雖然榴槤甜品整得好,但其他食物嘅款式同味道都一般般,總捨嚟講有啲失望。
但如果以閒日+85折優惠嚟計,都算試得過。

上週末去了這聞名不如見面且又有榴槤主題的自助餐廳來了個brunch。除了馬拉榴槤甜品比較有特色外,其實其他菜式只是一般,有些還在水準之下。譬如片皮鴨,不夠香,不夠嫩,最敗筆是,它有個幫客人把那個“烤鴨三文治”包起來的攤,很像外國的唐餐外賣檔,客人不能enjoy自己動手的過程。幾款流質食品包括湯和粥,其實味道不錯但不夠熱,失色。值得一提就是甜品吧,所有糕點都很出色,加上幾款榴槤甜品,加分。特別呢個榴槤冰奇淋(右),奶和榴槤的味道均衡,口感結實,很好。不知道大家有沒有留意,在炸榴槤球的角落有兩桶醬,其中一桶叫“榴槤醬”,但其實它是拆了肉的馬拉榴槤(上左),應該沒加添調料,我全程像盛飯一樣添了四五碗 ,很滿足。總結是,一個五百多塊的brunch,Sparkling Wine “Free Run”,在中午消磨了三個小時,和家人聊聊天,尚可,但與這名店的傳奇相比,有點名不如實。
