供應下午茶的地方多的是,但要說是嘆下午茶的聖地,絕對不能沒有半島酒店大堂的份兒。他們的Afternoon Tea不但在港知名,更是衝出了香港,不少遊客慕名而去,碰巧Van Cleef & Arpels在半島的店舖擴充了,特地與酒店大堂茶座合作,推出了《A Nature Inspired Afternoon Tea》來慶祝新店。好開心第一次來,就遇到特別時刻的下午茶。 在傳統的三層架上放滿了美味的咸甜兩點,為了貼合frivole系列,特別將此系列的盛放花朵形態及繽紛顏色的元素加入Afternoon Tea Set內。就好像黃杏味的馬卡龍上,放上了一朵精緻的花朵裝飾;同時,在香芒熱情果泡芙也添加了食用花朵,令客人心情也變得特別開放。 除了以花朵為飾的甜點外,還有味道清新的檸檬羅勒撻及甜美的朱古力芝士餅配牛奶朱古力忌廉。檸檬與羅勒的組合味道清新芳香,正好中和一下朱古力芝士餅的甜膩,不過,朱古力味正正是很濃郁的,有一種越吃越滋味的感覺。 咸點方面都是以半島傳統而有名的食物為主導,特別是香草青瓜白麵包的組合,歷久不衰,清新爽口;法式火腿芝士三文治又是另一名物,而且必定要熱吃,倍感滋味;最後,還有法式吞拿魚沙律及煙三文魚配甘筍麵包及檸檬水芹,賣相不俗。 當然,如果下午茶沒有了英式鬆餅,就會感到周身不聚財,在鬆軟又暖烘烘的鬆餅上塗上忌廉及果醬,真是簡單又美味。 友人只點上伯爵茶,可是我卻想品嚐一下名物的半島凍朱古力特飲,於是毫不猶豫就點上。當喝上一口後,即被那濃郁而滑溜的感覺所俘虜,每一口都是濃厚的可可香味,而且入口順滑,加上甜而不膩,真的是非常好喝的一杯,回味無窮。 最後臨走前,做個簡單的登記程序就可以有一本很美的記事簿了。 Afternoon Tea ($688 for two) 好味指數 (★★★★) 【5★為最高】 continue reading

我!好!感!動!重新一次,foodieyanyan真的太感動了,終於能到半島酒店吃英式下午茶呢。半島酒店,細細個便聽過的名子,很久便Bookmark要吃的餐廳。今日是慶祝我廿四歳生日的日子,大哥特意帶我來吃半島英式下午茶,真的令我期待萬分。下午茶由二時至六時,不限時間。想不到我三點半到來到,那長長的人龍,那坐虛席的餐桌,那一刻,我感到半島的超x人氣。半島英式下午茶$638/2位三層架的傳統英式下午茶,以鐵架,白碟呈上,高貴優雅,甚有傳統英國貴族氣派。提提大家,下午茶雖不用穿華氣服裝,不需穿燕尾服,不需穿長裙,但都不可太馬虎哦。最底層是英式鬆餠下午茶中最出名的,大慨是半島自家製 英式鬆餠。鬆餠一共四大件,我的小胖胖大哥吃兩個已經飽了。鬆餠是較面包乾一點,較面包紮實一點,軟乾餅軟一點的食物半島鬆餠微暖,紮實且軟熟,乾身但不需飲水進食,輕輕的牛油香慢慢溢岀,果然不錯可配上奶油和果醬,同樣好吃哦。中層是咸食類,包括:青瓜三文治,三文魚面包,鴨肉卷,菠菜撻。青瓜三文治,聽名子覺得略伏,但其實是傳統的英式風味阿。入口清新無比,青瓜軟爽,青瓜雖非我喜愛食物,但清新得令人留下印象。三文魚面包配上三文魚子和吞拿魚,魚味香濃,味道不俗。鴨肉卷口感像吞拿魚,濕潤絲狀,較吞拿魚靭身一點點最高層是甜食類,包括: 薑奶油酥餅,咖啡香蕉朱古力,青蘋果撻,蕎麥杯子蛋糕。看到那鮮粉的粉紅色,伏味又出來呢。椰子味道略重,不是我杯茶呢。小小一個朱古力碗,載著的是咖啡慕斯和香蕉蓉,慕斯奶滑,味道不錯。青蘋果撻賣相可愛,更有一片小葉子。青蘋果忌廉香滑,撻底硬脆,我喜愛哦大哥說排隊一個鐘,拍照三十分鐘,吃東西十分鐘,把我逗笑了吃光下午茶,我們會走去吃堆成小山丘的大拉麵,吃貨的胃口可以較其他人大吧。 continue reading

屋企人生日, 想搵個地方舒舒服服食餐飯, 朋友介紹到半島的The Lobby, 一直以為The Lobby只有Afternoon Tea供應, 原來係全日都有餐飲提供打去訂位時得知有生日優惠, Birthday Rewards Set Dinner(HKD455)買4送1優惠...另外再送蛋糕一個在百年悠久歷史的酒店大堂用餐, 可以欣賞傳統英式建築之餘, 再配合現場弦樂演奏, 呢個價錢實屬化算麵包籃 - 三款餐前麵包, 每款都好食, 服務員有問要唔要加多一份麵包, 不過如果再食多一份就應該會太飽喇! 前菜 - 日式鮮蝦海藻沙律.芝麻汁, 蝦唔算大隻, 但就好新鮮, 彈牙....配上海藻沙律 & 芝麻汁, 感覺好似比較日式, 但唔緊要, 好食最重要湯 - 香蔥蘑菇忌廉湯, 放心...呢個唔係hea湯, 飲得出真係用淡忌廉煮,同時食得出新鮮蘑菇的菌香味主菜 - 三選一 (有魚 or 牛柳 or 糙米飯), 我當然係食牛柳啦! 燒牛柳、燉薯仔、時蔬燒牛柳(Medium), 火候控制得好好, 牛柳幼嫩多汁燉薯仔已經煮至非常入味*好鍾意伴碟的橄欖形的薯仔 & 紅蘿蔔, 好多餐廳都唔會咁樣處理喇! 甜品 - 也是三選一 (Tiramisu or 林明頓 or 香梨撻), 我選了Tiramisu, 後尾有點後悔, 因為外貌好平凡而且好甜好甜反而紅桑子林明頓賣相 & 味道更為吸引, 伴碟的Sorbert係兔仔造型因為Birthday Rewards, 仲會贈送生日蛋糕一個 continue reading

Experiencing a classic afternoon tea is typically one of the most important things to do when staying in Hong Kong, at the Peninsula Hotel in particular. It is served at their lobby lounge daily, where is widely recognised as an elegant, deluxe and sophisticate place accompanied by The Lobby Strings.Although I have been seriously longing to visit for a decent afternoon, I am glad to be here tonight for the celebration of our Daddy’s birthday. The Peninsula Hong Kong is now offering a birthday treat to guests who can enjoy a complimentary set dinner upon ordering for a party of four or more, along with a birthday cake from the Chef. Our 4-course dinner menu starts with a choice of smoked salmon salad, with chopped potato, red onion, and mustard dressing. Follow by a heart warming clear soup, a chicken consomme with several mushroom stuffed tortelloni. For main, I like the beef tenderloin grilled to medium rare, nicely tender, serving on a bed of roasted potato and grilled seasonal veggies. My favourite is no doubt the chocolate mousse which has been beautifully presented in a glassware. Consists of chocolate sponge, chocolate crunches, creamy cherry curd, refreshing sherbet made with Morello cherries and a smooth and silky chocolate mousse base. The rum baba is also very lovely-looking, soaked with a generous amount of rum and topped with a wonderfully smooth Tahitian vanilla cream. Our dinner ends with a chocolate orange mousse birthday cake and even though we are all so stuffed, this cake still tastes impressive with loads of love. continue reading

朋友今日同我補祝生日,一早決定左要食afternoon tea set,左揀右揀,決定要一試就試最有名的半島大堂tea,貪佢唔使book位d時間夠flexible,而且影相一定靚,甜點包好味😙我地星期日大概13:25就到半島大堂,已有人排隊,前面有13個人左右,等到14:15我地就可以入座,同best fd傾計時間好快過,唔係好覺得要等好耐😂好幸運地坐窗邊,自然光可以拍美照,超開心!我地order afternoon tea set 二人用,每人會有杯飲品,有差不多5款茶,我地叫左peninsula blend同南非國寶柑橘Tangerine兩款茶,除左一人一壺茶,佢會俾埋一jar牛奶你自己決定加唔加,仲有一壺熱水,侍應會不時過黎添熱水同幫你倒茶,好有禮貌同細心Tea set有英式鬆餅scones,會附上cream同strawberry jam, jam唔會過甜,冇人造的假味。我係勁熱愛食scones的人😍個set放上枱時我即刻摸下舊scone,是暖笠笠的!牛油同麵粉的份量好合宜,唔會乾、唔會散、唔會硬或者粉!好味!咸點:比較深刻的是綠色的酥,應該裡面是pesto青醬,有蒜頭、蕃茜、香草混合的咸香味,酥皮鬆脆,好好味!但我唔識欣賞深啡色個舊三文治卷,裡面係吞拿魚,咬落有陣香味似鵝肝醬,但我覺得加埋有啲魚腥味太重,又成舊好冧咁,唔鐘意,其他係三文魚同青瓜治都正正常常。甜點:太誇張了我覺得每一舊都真係冇hea我!平時最憎食buffet d甜點,覺得做得好馬虎,但半島的甜點,係食得出層次感架媽呀😂覺得貴就貴在呢度!但真係好值得食!由後面開始:朱古力的brownie,夠moist, walnut好香又有啲咬口👍🏼綠色好似小網球的lime tart,好清香的lemon/lime,好滑的lemon custard帶酸味,好fresh,外層係牛油曲奇tart皮,好正👍🏼上面塊白色應該是糖做的,我冇食中間朱古力片做夾心,中間係忌廉卷有柚子香味,上面有脆朱古力,一啖有多個質感,好食,但綠色的is the best !最後是花花,應該係柑枯味的吉士,同lemon唔同味,都是酸酸的,好喜歡好fresh唔膩的甜點第一次的afternoon set體驗,我會俾90/100,10分會減左係排隊同貴,但我覺得整體都好值得,始終佢個brand咁高檔又係酒店,點都會想食一次,特別慶祝就最適合💌 continue reading
