I do not often review a restaurant . However, the food here is worthy of great applause . Every time Dave and his team do disappoint . The best steaks in Hong Kong hands down . The Gallery is very highly recommended. Pizzas are fresh out the oven , thin crust and delicious . Steaks come hot off the fire and cooked to your requested perfection . Excellent assortment of ciders and beers and many that I have never seen before.

人家一秒變黑,來這餐廳亦能一秒置身外國,朋友介紹下,來到偏遠地區大嶼山,等了20分鐘才上了十一號巴士,再搭多20分鐘才到塘福邨。遠遠就傳來燒肉的炭香味,而且餐廳戶外座位圍上如星星的燈光裝飾,一下車就易認到餐廳。蒜蓉包很好吃,應該是自家製,不是只把蒜蓉塗上包再去焗那種,蒜蓉味極濃,包上有點香草,也令包偏咸,但依然是好吃的重口味。第一次試dry aged rib eye(3xx元),配一個沙律和熱薯仔沙律,10安士及配菜已經夠兩個女生吃。牛扒在戶外座位旁即燒,dry aged令牛扒多了一種風味,吃起來更有層次(雖然不是很能用筆述其風味)。意粉不是咬口韌度十足的類型,但青醬很香,油雖多,筆者並不太愛吃淋身意粉,所以覺得意粉較遜色。

蒜蓉包很好吃,應該是自家製,不是只把蒜蓉塗上包再去焗那種,蒜蓉味極濃,包上有點香草,也令包偏咸,但依然是好吃的重口味。

Great little place this is on the other side of Lantau Island by a lovely quiet beach, I only spent the afternoon here on a lovely day. Feels very country side and even cows were wandering the street! Nice friendly relaxing atmosphere to chill with few drinks, and nice selection too.. I had some beers (or 2 or 3 or 4...) and a lovely English cider before ordering my steak. Judging by the dry storage of the meat I saw I was pretty sure it just has to be good.

Not disappointing at all! I think I had the rib-eye and it was just beautifully cooked with great barbecue flavour and I can honestly say it's the best steak I have eaten anywhere, loved it! (My previously best steak was at posh restaurant in Oxford, UK with their own Angus - but this beats it!).

If coming here on a weekend, it can take very long to wait for taxi from Tung Chung MTR.. so next time I will pre-order taxi or get No. 11 bus!

Highly recommend a visit to this place.

We were staying around the corner and really had to give this place a go. We are so glad we did. The food was amazing, the beer on point and the service outstanding. If you're looking for something that isn't traditionally Chinese and you're in the mood for a good Angus steak, definitely pop in. You won't regret it.

The cambenbert cheese and bread came warm which was good. The bread was a bit crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. There was only a tiny bit of grilled bell peppers, would have been better with more.

Peppeorini Pizza: good but seems would be even better with more cheese, seem to remember they put more cheese in previous years when we went. The dough part was thin and crispy. Came with salad greens in the middle which was nice (don't know the name of the salad greens).

London Pride Beer (draft) - tasty, great.

Paulaner's Weisbeer (by bottle) - tasty.  Still preferred London Pride draft.

Bill for 2 people with 4 pints of beer came to HK$610 (without service charge). Not that cheap but given the high quality, it seems reasonable.

Environment - sat outside, they have nice cooling fans. My friend however still got bit by a few mosquitos and had to put on spray.

In sleepy Tong Fuk, opposite the taxi stand, you can find black angus ribeyes and sirloins flame grilled on the barbeque. The steaks, served with Dave's magic sea salt, garlic, lemon olive oil dressing on the side and med salad are some of the best I've ever tasted.

In the shade on the verandah, dining al fresco with ice cold beer at sunset on a Saturday evening. Stuff that babies are made from.

I had the homous, a creamy smooth dip in olive oil. Excellent

Ribeye, medium rare. Perfectly done, the grill was hot enough to seal in the juices, lettng it slowly release on the plate. With the salad, that was a massive meal. Left room only for more wine.

It's a 20 minute bus ride from Tung Chung to get to Tong Fuk, or you can spend $100 by taxi. It's worth it, but make a booking if you intend to go there on a Saturday night.

Food is fabulous. Restaurants in Central/Wanchai charge 2-3x more for food that's not always as good.

We had:
1. Black mussels in white wine and cream sauce, with crusty bread. Mussels are so fresh (flown in from Seattle weekly), they're very creamy, almost like fresh oysters. Bread was made of spelt flour toasted just right. Tastes very wholesome, slightly sweet and nutty. Very fragrant too. Spelt flour is a 9000-year old grain, 1 of 7 named in the bible! Mussels are better than the ones we had in Belgium restaurants
2. Yellowfin tuna - cooked medium rare on the bbq pit. Has the charred bbq fragrance. Large, generous portions. Dave showed us the raw slab of tuna - very fresh, pinkish-orange. VERY GOOD
3. Pizza - as good as ever. Thin crust, with long stringy cheese. Best i had in HK.
4. As with the food, the white wine we had is really good value.

For digestif, we had Irish Coffee and Irish Chocolate respectively. Both were very fragrant with a generous amount of whiskey. My chocolate had the fragrance of irish baileys as well. For only the grand sum of $45 each.

Enough said...you just got to try it yourself!

I have been this restaurant two times in 2008. Restaurant is owned by British guy - Dave. This is not South Africa food, more like Italian food. I took pizza & cold beer - Doombar. Pizza is not like the one from Pizza hut, Pizza box, Spaghetti House. Very crispy & thin - I order Arcopolis last time - Anchove, Feta cheese, spinach toppings. Don't forget to put the spicy sauce on bar top counter. For Arcopolis pizza, I also told Dave, put less portion anchove, otherwise, too salty. Another food is

I took pizza & cold beer - Doombar. Pizza is not like the one from Pizza hut, Pizza box, Spaghetti House. Very crispy & thin - I order Arcopolis last time - Anchove, Feta cheese, spinach toppings. Another food is Angus steak from Australia, mussel, Keba (Middle East bread). Steak is cooked outside the balcony by Dave.

I usually see the local people rent the house for BBQ at night & vacation. I am sure Tong Fuk area in Lantau island is busy during summer time - nice beach.

I went there by bus from Tung Chung, 40 minutes. Restaurant is next to bus stop - Tong Fuk.
