Nearly 60 mins from order to receive steamed Sui mai, rice cake, turnip cake... to steam. Small order and over 15 other orders after mine (of which were much larger) came out first. Appreciate it’s raining with delivery orders, but with a restaurant more than half empty, this was very poor. Only saving grace was the polite staff member who helped to open the door on the way out. continue reading

Ordered liver congee, sliced beef noodles, wonton noodles, mixed seafood congee, shrimp dumplings and fried dough wrapped in rice flour.Liver was fresh and tender. The beef was also tender as well. Wonton was so so and I think the shrimp dumpling was better. Wonton soup was better than average. Service was good. Ambience as well. continue reading

下班和朋友飯聚,來到跑馬地一試這家米芝蓮推介的餐廳。一進餐廳給我的感覺是: 地方舒服,環境衛生,服務態度很好。就來讓我一嘗粵廣名菜。廣東人愛喝湯,這是全國人民都知道的,先點一個燉湯看看。這個杏汁燉豬肺很有驚喜! 真材真料的味道! 看得出師傅很花功夫,因為豬肺由清洗到熬製,如果做得不好會有內臟腥味。濃郁的杏香,白肺的美味軟腴可口,湯水清甜。廣東人至愛的「靚湯」!再來一碟干炒牛河。要找到一份好吃的干炒牛河一點也不容易,因為乾炒牛河講鑊氣,油多就膩,油少會焦。牛肉又要嫩..這次牛肉份量不多,質感尚算爽滑,但可惜略嫌太油。鮮蝦雲吞麵算是鎮店招牌菜,餡料豐富,內有豬肉,鮮蛋,蝦仁等,口感有彈性,而麵身爽滑彈牙,都算不過不失。當然不少得炸兩這個種廣東的特色小吃。炸兩就是把腸粉和油炸鬼兩種小吃組合,這次油炸鬼的皮不夠薄,咬下去有點太軟。 continue reading

正斗可以算是我們在跑馬地的飯堂,每當周末懶得煩惱去找地方醫肚的時候,正斗便是我們的最佳選擇。姬茸菇花膠燉竹絲雞湯,份量足夠二人飲用,湯底清澈味道濃郁,姬茸菇味尤其出眾,花膠有薄薄數片,感覺並不是與其他材料一同燉煮(否則應該已溶於湯內),但亦無損整體味道,喝完並未有口渴的感覺,可以喝出真材真料的味道。炸両可算是我們在正斗必點菜式,薄薄的腸粉皮包著香脆的油炸鬼,一口吃下口感極豐富。正斗炸両的油炸鬼有種新鮮炸出來的感覺,極之香脆,男友認為配上少量甜豉油已經足夠,但我覺得配花生醬和甜醬亦有另一番風味。男友看到亁炒牛河的圖片已經開始流口水,迫不及待叫了一碟。乾炒牛河感覺未算油膩,熱騰騰上枱,鑊氣夠,牛肉份量多,質感爽滑,河粉帶老抽的甜味,炒得乾身,略嫌未夠條條分明,但男友瞬間吃掉一大半,說相比吃過其他炒到條條分明卻油膩非常的牛河,他還是寧願選擇這樣。薑蔥魚腩粥,原本落單時叫了侍應走青但應該漏了,粥底一如概往地綿滑帶米香,其實一碗靚粥只要粥底煮得好,什麼配料也能錦上添花,這次選了魚腩的油香配粥底的米香,味道簡單而美味。(相比魚片粥,我更偏愛魚腩,主要是貪那些魚骨比較好挑,而且魚魚味更濃)最後上場的是粉果,粉果最難拿揑的應該是那層粉皮,晶瑩剔透的粉皮包著蝦米、冬菇、沙葛、芫茜、花生等材料,必須要揉得薄且軟韌適中,配上潮式辣椒油,味道一流。上網搜尋了下,發現正斗已連續多年獲米芝蓮推介呢!跑馬地分店用餐環境可稱上乘,週末中午去吃也基本不用等位,也坐得寬敞舒適。侍應親切禮貌,會主動加茶并迅速收掉已經用過的餐碟。餐廳不算很大,來來去去主要是跑馬地的街坊,感覺有些人已跟侍應是多年老友。在“街坊食堂”拍拖食粥粥,真是簡單的幸福o(* ̄▽ ̄*)o continue reading
