Cozy eatery offering a taste of Northern Italy: seating 20 plus 4 counter bar seats by the window. Crispy-edged Seared Polenta (cornmeal made from ground corn), with savory Porcini Mushroom Cream sauce and Prosciutto- a textural delight.

Beef Tartare (made from prized Piedmontese Fassone beef, known for being tender yet lean and low in fat) seasoned with anchovy bringing umami, and chili and vinegar emulsion- a bit too spicy for me. Served with 5 pieces of crostini.

A crispy, golden Milanese Bone-in Pork Loin cutlet- real juicy and flavorful. Served with a light arugula salad on the side.

Originally wanted to try the limited Casunziei pasta with slow-braised wild boar ragu and mushrooms but was told that all 4 portions were sold out.
Decided to go for the Mafaldine (rippled pasta similar to lasagna but more narrow) with Genovese sauce ie chunks of beef slow-cooked for 12-Hours with loads of onions.

Tiramisu- light, creamy and flawlessly executed. The rabbit biscuit on top was a nice touch; indeed the restaurant was adorned with a lot of rabbit ornaments, as the rabbit is often seen as a symbol for the Dolomites due to its association with the region's natural wildlife and folklore.

In summary: menu was tight but expressive, focusing on regional ingredients and rich, comforting flavors. A true tribute to Northern Italian tradition, delivered with clarity, warmth, and classic technique.

My family and I had a wonderful birthday dinner there last night. The dishes were delicious, well executed and very reasonably priced. The dishes were very exactly what they promised - authentic Italian dishes normally served in regions along the Dolomites where we have spent countless seasons skiing in Cortina. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The entire team at Tabia should be given credit as well for being so friendly and attentive - thanks all. Will revisit for sure.

I had a very disappointing experience at TABIÀ that ruined what was supposed to be a special reunion with friends. We had a reservation for 8:30 PM, but when we arrived on time, we were told our table was still occupied and "about to check." Despite being told the table was being rushed out, by 9:15 PM—45 minutes past our reservation—there was no update or effort to resolve the situation. The staff offered us another table as a last-minute solution, but after such a long wait, it felt disrespectful.

The lack of management and fairness to guests was shocking. Waiting nearly an hour for a reservation is unacceptable, and it completely ruined the evening. One of our friends even felt unwell due to the delay.

While the restaurant is new, this experience reflects serious issues with how reservations and tables are handled. I hope they improve, but based on this visit, I cannot recommend TABIÀ.
