Came here to celebrate my grandma’s 104th birthday. She only likes “Cantonese” cuisine and she still has a sensitive palette that I need to please. The roast pork belly and chau siu were both top notch. Tender and juicy with balance flavor. The steamed frogs was tender and timing was just right in the steamer. The shrimp w black garlic in casserole tasted fresh with balanced seasoning. The minced quail meat lettuce wrap was juicy and not dry. The vermicelli with crab meat and scallop was not oily.

All and all, they all came out perfect. They gave my grandma gigantic longevity bun at the end of the meal.

Service was attentive and ambience was classy oriental.

到訪香宮多次,超喜歡那邊的燉湯,原來這裡的湯水也出色。午市來的話,推介要點這 椰皇鮑魚灌湯餃 Soup Dumpling with diced meat and Abalone in young Coconut ($100);一上檯,別致賣相及清甜椰香已帶來無限驚喜,湯中除了原隻鮑魚,薄滑餃身內肉餡鮮美,超好吃!

早前分享過奇華餅家嘅「鴛鴦奶皇」,喺今年食嘅第一個月餅,中秋佳節,月餅嘅嘢邊會一次過食得晒,所以食啲又寫啲,而第二個食到嘅港島香格里拉酒店中菜館夏宮嘅出品,依份厚禮喺公司客送嘅,故此,就自然喺酒店級高檔貨色。既然喺客送嘅,當然恭敬不如從命 ,一到下午茶時間,同事就自動波切嚟一齊分享。不愧喺五星級酒店貨色,外盒採用香檳金,包裝已經顯得寧舍高雅;而內裡8個「迷你蛋黃白蓮蓉月餅」加以橙紅色紙盒再以獨立包裝處理,甚具東方色彩,咪睇佢啲盒仔一高一低唔整齊,原來刻意設計,方便抽出嚟 。月餅印上「夏宮」二字,線紋清晰,一刀切落去,回刀已見到鹹蛋黃嘅黃油,打開一睇,直頭流晒油,而且,餅皮夠薄。入口,白蓮蓉軟滑清香,就算喺白蓮蓉,甜膩都在所難免,不過,呷啖茶,又一小啖月餅,感覺會喺不一樣 。多謝個客,等我哋有多日嘅蛋黃白蓮蓉月餅下午茶,乘機鬆一鬆,抖一抖!

下午去飲茶,嫂嫂突然興起order片皮鴨,心想好啊!下午吃比晚上吃無咁吧呀!哈哈!先上了點心,真是沒甚特別,樣樣都只是不過不失,沒有驚喜,相比片皮鴨更是見拙。片皮鴨出場時,其實我沒有太大期望,但上枱後我雙眼發光了!夏宮的片皮鴨原來那麼美,色靚充滿光澤、薄如紙、沒有帶一點肉和肥羔、咬下去是脆脆的!夾在包皮的軟脆囗感令人感動!鴨鬆炒得很乾身很鬆,做生菜包很夾!
