Social Place is always my favourite place in Hong Kong for dim sum. Food are nice and the environment is hygienic, comfy, and modern. Went to the newly opened Social Place in Shatin during Chinese New Year and the waitress gave us a bunch of cash coupons. For every HKD 500 spent, HKD 100 will be deducted. Used 1 coupon this time, and it is a pretty good deal! 20 percent off it is!The Central branch is usually packed during the weekdays, but given the Wuhan virus spread in HK, it is a lot quieter. As we entered the restaurant, we had to check our temperature checked. We were offered the envelops to put our surgical masks, and use of their hand sanitiser. That's very detail minded to have such offer.The barbecue beef is my new favourite in Social Place. The beef is very tender and juicy. Loving it!Another lovely dim sum is the chocolate buns. 今天趁著假期,與家人到中環逛街,順道外出吃飯,在網上搜尋餐廳之時看見唐宮小聚,深深被吸引,食物精緻吸晴,某些菜式是模仿其他食物外貌製作而成,而且進食點心中菜,不管男女老幼都十分適合,於是到此進餐。白玉王鴿乳鴿選用自美國,上桌時熱呼呼的,入口外皮香脆,油脂四溢,肉質鮮嫩多汁,鹹度適中,甘香滋味,而且細心地為客人準備手套、濕紙巾以及骨桶。小蠔煎餅不會煎得過於乾身,色澤呈金黃,口感鬆脆香口,小蠔用料十足,每口充滿著蠔隻,味道鮮甜爽口,沒有腥味,配上附有的酸甜醬,使人胃口大開。鮮蝦蒸餃在蒸餃皮外特意塗上金色,感覺既矜貴又吸睛,蒸餃外皮晶瑩剔透,鮮蝦餡料飽滿,入口爽口彈牙,鮮甜味美。非常山竹染上紫色的鹹水角皮,包裹著蟹肉及龍蝦汁,頂部加上百力枝,外型模仿山竹而製,賣相精緻吸引,外層口感煙韌,內饀味道鮮甜香滑。流心燒賣內餡有流心鵪鶉蛋,入口濃稠適中,肉饀鮮嫩,香口煙韌,內裏的流心增加了口感及層次。肉鬆抓餅手抓餅炸得香脆鬆軟,內饀是肉鬆及蔥粒,肉鬆味道鹹中帶甜,分量充足,配上酥脆抓餅,惹味可口,香而不膩。炒蝦腸粉選用老抽再加入XO 醬的瑤柱絲炒製而成,呈深啡色,腸粉爽滑煙韌,海蝦新鮮大隻,爽口彈牙, XO 醬令蝦及腸粉帶微微辣味,更惹味香口。十三麼牌外型模仿麻雀,其實是以牛奶與鮮奶油特製而成的奶凍,面層印有字的紙張是可食用的糖紙,奶凍味道奶香濃鬱,口感柔嫩。甜品拼盤甜品拼盤有冰皮壽桃以及奶凍,冰皮壽桃外皮是糯米糍,口感黏口柔軟,內餡充滿榴槤肉及忌廉,味香濃鬱,奶凍外型是小豬的形象,十分討喜,是採用100%天然椰汁製成的,再配上花奶進食,椰香味濃鬱,味道清甜。港式檸檬茶使用紅茶葉製造的港式紅茶,配上幾片檸檬片,濃鬱的紅茶香中帶點檸檬酸,口感清爽,加入冰塊,入口冰涼解膩。整體而言,環境優雅舒適,食物精美吸晴,可口美味,是與家人或朋友過來聚餐及拍照的好地方。 continue reading

上回請了會計師於中環Shore Steak享用晚餐,離開的時候他大方地表示下趟由他請客。以為這只是客氣之辭,誰不知事隔半年,這一頓飯居然有所著落。當天投入L.Place之升降機直上三樓,於中途二樓卻有大批人流出入。小的往內瞄之,發現是一家中式餐廳,雖然其門如市,小的卻嗤之以鼻。外出用餐,中菜絕對非為首選,特別是毫無特色新意與趣味的簡約廣東粵菜,那是自己從小吃到大的出品,貪新鮮的人馬座在有選擇的情況下自當敬而遠之。可是這回屬會計師作東,小的不能諸多要求,結果便懷著一般的心情投入L.Place二樓的這家「唐宮小聚」去。為甚麼唐宮小聚會其門如市?價錢該為首項因素。在中環商業區,要找一間舒適優雅又便宜的餐廳,這幾乎是不可能的任務。而唐宮小聚則成功突圍,兼且老伴在此吃過午膳,說其出品也頗有水準。未夠七時投入餐廳,咱們雖然訂了檯,在人流興旺的情況下仍只給安排坐在門前對著升降機口的位置。餐廳之燈飾明亮,檯椅給擺放得密麻麻,在簡約的裝修裡透出細意的新趣。投入座椅,以為有污漬的餐具一看之下原來屬玩味設計,碟子都印有螞蟻與蒼蠅圖案,幾可亂真。甫入座,店員隨即為老伴與小的送上一個金色壺裝著的熱茶,乎合水怪小的之心意。趁會計師未至,小的到餐廳吧檯前照一下她們趣緻可愛的點心,這些包點都是中看不中吃,只適合供放閃打卡而已。瀏覽餐牌,數十元的美食端的抵,平均六十多,叫上六碟都只收三百六,比起Shore Steak之一份排還要便,算無遺策的會計師小的實在甘拜下風。咱們叫了一隻三十元有找的白玉玉鴿,雖然乳鴿細小,與老伴一半再對分只得一小噘,但炸得香脆惹味,外皮色澤油潤光亮,這個價錢,這樣的質素,絕對為價性比,只可惜就不能多點一客。蜑家蟹粥能看到一條條小小的蟹肉絲,真材實料,淡黃色的蟹粥能吃出海洋鮮味,隨碟還附有小量油條,也是不錯的選擇。金菇翠苗則甚有特色,面頭金黃色的脆絲原來就是給滾油炸過的金菇,在粗䊯與細滑之間與底下幼嫩的翠苗相得益彰、相映成趣,沾上碟子裡的菜汁,更是其味無窮。想不到如廝簡單平價的食材可配搭出這般精美細緻的佳品。蟹粉麻球外表就似是小小的一個煎堆仔,外層有間花式混合的黑白芝麻增強賣相。一口咬落,在煎堆粘粘的表皮之內就包裹著細細的蟹粉肉球。或許未是季節,蟹粉雖有香味卻粗糙乾身,啖出為次一等的劣質食材。而且這道菜式雖有新意,但帶甜的煎堆皮與蟹粉就是不合襯,更抽乾了饀料中之水份,變成了棄之可惜的敗筆。小蠔煎餅炸得非常厲害,表面均為炸粉刺出來的尖雉,非為小的所喜爽脆中見濕潤的作品。幸而蠔餅之味道尚不錯,亦能吃出粒粒的小蠔子。唐宮小聚全部都是小小的份量,只五小碟當然不飽。見叫了幾道菜均沒有供應,會計師要轉投甜點,小的卻不放棄地最後多點了一客醉雞。醉雞水準一貫,驚喜地包含雞脾部位,軟滑中見香濃酒氣。陳皮燉梨最適合秋冬滋潤,那三粒小巧的壽桃形榴蓮冰皮則為小的欺騙老伴陪食之惡作劇!會計師滔滔不絕,大概平日沒人聽他天花亂墜,老伴卻是睡眼惺忪。當大部份食客都離場,小的發現餐應中間之大檯原來是乒乓球桌設計,甚具特色。而其洗手間之水牌更道出千古不滅的真理! continue reading
