📍Social Place Surprisingly, whenever I crave for roasted pigeon, I come to Social Palace! At its price of HK$40 per pigeon, they deliver in quality! They are fresh and hot. skin is crispy whilst the meat is still juicy. Oil drips everywhere when you tear it apart! It’s a must order each time. The other must order is their iced sweet and sour pork. It has thin batter and if you are lucky enough that it’s freshly fried, it will have a temperature contrast as it’s served on a pile of ice. The ice also makes the crispy exterior even crispier! Other items such as dim sum are of good quality and quite innovative too. Just skip their clay pot rice as their rice is just too hard. Ordered a lot and everything tasted really good and looked cute. Enjoyed it.😄We had the sweet and sour pork (on ice cube) allowing extra crunchiness for the pork, the drunk chicken (moist and well marinated), various buns - for eg the pears were wagye beef with black pepper, hot and steaming inside, the mangosteen had cream sauce. They said its lobster but certainly tasted more sweetcorn to me, though it tasted fine. The pigeon were nice, so were the veggie (string beans with preserved veg and mince pork). 🐽 The dessert little white piggy was actually yogurt pudding. It was okay, not too sweet. Had to order for the look of it. 🤰🏻They weren’t busy at night if you fancy a chinese meal catching up with friends. continue reading
