Silver Cafe is a really interesting cafe located in Mong Kok. It changes it's retro themes on a regular basis so every time I walk by, it's a totally different. But inside there is always still this drawing of a cat. I've never eaten here so boyfriend and I decided to go in for dinner.When we were there, the current theme was the walkman. All sorts of walkmans from the past along with tapes could be found on the walled display cases.The tables also had displays of old walkmans.Menu is in Chinese only. There is no English. They serve a variety of classic Hong Kong style dishes. They have dinner sets that include a Chinese main, rice and hot drink. Cold drinks are not a few extra dollars but at half price.As cold drinks were at half price, I decided to get a Shiso Lemon Tea. Quite a large glass, it was pretty good. The shiso gave a fresh taste to the lemon tea much like adding mint. It was the right amount of sweetness as well.One of the mains we chose was Stir Fried Sweet Beef with Capsicons and Pineapple ($78). Portion wasn't too big but it was enough. It tasted quite good. The beef was tender. The pineapple was not of the canned variety but fresh. The capsicoms were a bit undercooked so it wasn't as sweet as they could be but I guess they wanted them to maintain the crunchy texture.The other maine was Taiwanese Three Cup Chicken ($98). Served in a piping hot pot, the chicken was delicious. Tender and juicy. There were also capsicums here and these were cooked so well, they were very sweet.Deep Fried Salt and Pepper Tofu ($20) was the appetizer we added. The tofu had a crispy coating and it was soft on the inside. It wasn't seasoned with much salt and pepper. I didn't mind too much but if you love it heavily seasoned, you might be disappointed.Food was delicious though portions were a bit small. The cafe is fun to look at all the retro items as well. Not sure if we'd be back though.

鍾意懷舊風嘅你唔好錯過呢間餐廳喇☺️銀之冰室係以懷舊文具✏️🧮做主題,餐廳充滿懷舊感覺,收藏咗唔少以前嘅寶物📦,簡直話喺一間博物館都唔會誇張😍食物選擇方面都幾多樣化,見到佢地都加咗唔少fusion既菜式,比起傳統冰室又有唔同嘅感覺喇😎👅|煙三文魚忌廉汁意粉$86煙三文魚忌廉汁意粉幾好食,忌廉汁調配得好夠味,又濃又香口👍🏻意粉都處理得唔錯,好彈牙😚有煙三文魚分量足夠亦好夠鹹香!配菜嘅洋蔥都好新鮮,爽口亦唔會太生☺️仲有唔少蘑菇,意粉味道更加鮮味❤️|黃金蟹肉炒飯$85黃金蟹肉炒飯相對一般,蟹肉係蟹柳,明白呢個價錢唔會比真既蟹肉,但係蟹柳唔知點解有少少影響咗個味道🥹黃金本身以為會有少少蛋黃既鹹香,但係原來只係炒蛋嘅意思,炒飯質素正常,不過不失。| XO醬豬扒炒烏冬$68 (午餐)最後試咗個XO醬豬扒炒烏冬,呢個可以一試!出乎意料有鑊氣,XO醬都幾足夠有辣口同惹味嘅口感!配菜亦都好豐富☺️雜菜、洋蔥、芽菜令到成個味道昇華唔少🤩豬扒入味肉質亦都好腍軟👍🏻❤️總括而言,環境真係好特別好有feel,好適合過嚟打個卡食個下午茶👍🏻質素同價錢都叫做成正比,感受返一下以前嘅感覺😙😙🕰️

上海街618號改建後經已是旺角上海街的一個小地標,除了底層的各種文化商店外。頂幾層都有唔同特色的餐廳,今次介紹就係位於3樓的✨「銀之冰室」✨上到3樓好易搵到「銀之冰室」,只要見到大量懷舊收藏品既裝修就是了。特別係收銀機對面舖位還原了60s, 70s年代的文具舖的裝修,我覺得直頭係博物館級別。👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽餐牌都是一些港式冰室搵到既味道,而今次我就叫咗午餐「焗椰汁葡國雞球飯」另外跟餐半價加了杯「菠蘿冰」,兩樣都係我自己細個成日去冰室食既食物。先講「菠蘿冰」菠蘿冰上面配上一串新鮮菠蘿,呢個非常加分,菠蘿粒非常新鮮、香甜。好好味!🤤另外✨「焗椰汁葡國雞球飯」✨味道同我細個食既時候味道、賣相都有9成近還原,美中不足可能因為午市既關係,食得出個飯係先有炒飯底再倒汁同雞球再焗,而唔係成個飯焗。因為焗既時間唔夠令到葡汁未完全入味。但味道是OK的,食情懷都食飽!😎🤘🏽

食物:9/10👍🏻環境:9.5/10👍🏻👍🏻價錢:7.5/10💰💎總評分:9/10👍🏻今日黎上海街呢邊做野,諗住食個快lunch,見到餐廳唔多人就入去食,點知十分有驚喜。先講講環境,成間餐廳裝修好有風格,有好多懷舊文物展示,每一個細節位都非常用心,而且餐廳一掃冰室嘈雜風格,環境十分整潔寧靜,坐係到用餐相當舒服寫意,好少見冰室裝修得咁靚,不負上海街616之名,呢點我大加分👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻跟住講下食物同價錢,我叫左紅酒汁牛脷意粉($68),我女朋友食得少野,直接加配小食:紅菜頭沙律+法式焦糖燉蛋(每份$15),另外咁岩女朋友唔舒服,叫左杯香茅青檸薏米水~紅酒汁牛脷意粉:意粉無特別,但紅酒汁好夠酒味,牛脷有筋,唔會太油,口感彈牙,合格🤤紅菜頭沙律:好爽甜,酸酸甜甜,係好食既蔬菜沙律,平時唔太食菜既我試左一啖,都會想繼續食😂女朋友超鍾意食,減肥/細食系女仔食應該岩晒🤨女仔係食得飽肚,重點跟餐加先$15法式焦糖燉蛋:三個字,焦、香、甜!🤤🤤香茅青檸薏米水:香茅+青檸好有味,唔會淡茂茂,又會太甜,岩岩好捧住個肚走,十分滿足🥰另外對面仲有個文具銀行,都係銀之冰室開既,食完可以遊覽下,有好多懷舊文具玩具,一睇就諗返起以前細個既童年回憶🥺

同女朋友嚟上海街618逛街,諗住睇下懷舊嘢,順便兜起美華氏睇執唔執到靚衫😆咁啱行到肚餓見到有間冰室,見唔使等位就入咗去食。食完幾喜出望外,連少食冰室嘅老婆都讚不絕口,價錢中等但質素極高,呢一餐我哋叫咗個大阪燒+印尼炒飯+紅豆冰+菠蘿冰。日式大阪燒炒烏冬($75),好日式,出面好少冰室有得食,呢碟係老婆想叫。炒得幾有鑊氣,沙律醬甜甜地,有木魚碎,食落係幾有真大阪燒嘅風味,正🇯🇵👍🏻👍🏻香噴噴印尼炒飯($75),十分足料,一個炒飯外加太陽蛋同串燒,份量之多啱晒我呢啲馬甩佬食🤤🤤太陽蛋係流心☀️啲飯炒得粒粒分明,食落有浸好特別嘅香料味,應該就係印尼香料,唔似出面咁單純咖喱炒飯👍🏻👍🏻唯一缺點就稍微偏重味,最好嗌多杯嘢飲。十勝金時紅豆冰(跟餐半價$19),食冰室一定叫返杯紅豆冰!女朋友話十勝紅豆係靚嘢,我唔識😂😂飲落紅豆味同椰奶味相當足🤪!飲到底發現原來有兩種紅豆添,真係有料到!另外老婆追加咗杯菠蘿冰,fresh啲,都好好飲👍🏻環境冇影到相,但幾整潔舒服,老細係貓奴,裡面勁多貓貓相😹整體評價,食物+價錢+環境,我俾9/10,老婆8/10!見到佢啲下午茶同甜品仲吸引,下次經過再嚟幫襯🤤🤤
