來到大坑,在新落成的Service Apartment 發現有兩間西餐廳。午餐就試下位於地下的“Second Draft”, 餐廳剛好在轉角位置,用上啡色系的格仔磚,充滿特色。“Draft”一字應該是代表着啤酒吧,因此見到一個不太現代的酒吧位。甫進餐廳就如回到五、六十年代,裝潢有如昔日冰室的裝潢,墨綠色及白色的牆身,另外牆身印有「嚴禁吸煙」、「保管好自己物品」……等「提示標語」。沒有午餐供應,唯有在主餐牌上挑選喜歡的食物。可惜菜式不太豐富,勝在菜式夠fusion, 而且加入不少港式傳統食物。Second Draft 原來是由兩家餐廳合作經營,一家是賣精釀啤賣到街知巷聞的TAP – The Ale Project,另一家是Little Bao。但是在餐牌上咖啡的選擇更加豐富及吸引。【Steak and egg $158】牛扒表面上放了隻疑似反過的太陽蛋。把它切開才發現這隻蛋經過高溫炸過,但裏面卻是流心的。蛋的表面沒有炸到過火或變得焦燶,蛋黃汁蛋味香濃。不過筆者覺得牛扒與雞蛋是完全兩回事,沒有任何連繫。最都是牛扒與雞蛋分開食。至於牛扒的外表有明顯十字交錯的烤紋,裡面呈粉紅色又帶點血水,賣相對辨。放進口卻是感覺一般的牛扒。肉質不夠嫩滑,肉味也不夠濃厚。牛扒下放有用蕃茄蓉做成的醬汁,味道微酸好像與牛扒沒有產生任何化學作用。【南乳炸雞漢堡 $78】炸雞沾上南乳醬汁後下鑊炸至外皮香脆,炸雞非常厚身佔去這個包的一半,還有大量生菜絲。雞肉有南乳味,味道特別,但是用來做漢堡包好像夾夾不入。【大坑 fries $68】薯條將乾椒、高菜、孜然粉融入炸薯條,為了小公主於是要求把所有調味拿去。薯條幼身又炸得香脆。雖然薯條沒有調味,但是一同呈上的蒜頭和高菜混合而成的蛋黃醬都非常惹味。。沒有餐前小食、沒有餐湯、沒有餐飲,食物味道也不見得出色。靠的是環境,靠的是老香港情懷,足夠嗎? continue reading

Opened lately at Little Tai Hang, Second Draft is occupying the ground floor of this service apartment with a horseshoe-shaped bar, tables set against large window, sage green and white walls. The gastropub focuses on a full list of locally imported bottle beers and brews from The Ale Project, while also serving a creative collection of coffee such as cold drips and mocktails. We are offered tasting shots before deciding our orders. Coming to the menu, it is designed by Little Bao‘s May Chow. From bar snacks to sharing courses, they all capture an obvious local flavors meeting some Western features, such as a signature HK French Toast topped with thick foie butter, flower crab pasta made with thick Shanghainese noodles. The Tai Hang fries arrives with a generous sprinkle of cumin, pickled mustard greens and dried chili. It is fairly-spiced, hot, crispy and is simply addictive. Favourites are the fried chicken, coated with cumin and served with a dyingly delicious fermented tofu and roasted garlic dip; mapo burrata, combining Chinese chili minced pork with this soft, creamy, and mild Italian fresh cheese. There are also sandos and burgers, whilst the best is still the Shanghai Dip ciabatta!All in all, this place is indeed perfect to enjoy some craft beers, cocktails and these amazing food options. continue reading

Second draft has fun fusion food with Chinese and Western elements. The sandwiches are pretty food but some of the snacks were a miss. The 'edamole' which was mashed edamame served with wonton chips sounded good in theory - but the taste was bland and unappetizing. The wontons were also unnecessary fusion food and I would stick to regular Chinese wontons. The fries were the best snack and incredible moreish. The show stealer was the mapo burrata which was incredibly rich and flavorful. The burrata worked perfectly with the spicy pork. I would recommend people who like fusion to give this place a shot to see what they like and don't like. continue reading

最有代表性的fusion菜我覺得應該是賽螃蟹上海麵。半熟蛋黃伴蟹肉碎和上海麵,再有有一碟醋相伴,拌勻後吃起來有種吃上海小籠包沾醋吃的味道。但蟹肉和上海麵真的是太鹹了,鹹到入口即嚐到苦味。另外點了一個漢堡,夾有豬蹄肉,醃黃瓜,伴上混合了啤酒的燒烤醬,也是十分混搭的組合。麵包烘烤得很好,香脆。餐後侍應還主動問要不要杯水,估計是知道這裡的菜式偏鹹?環境還可以,挺有格調,週五晚上很熱鬧繁雜,適合多人聚餐。 continue reading

今日同bae諗住去大坑食飯,點知行行下轉角位見到間好有特色嘅餐廳叫Second Draft,設計有啲似懷舊冰室,一睇就知唔簡單,完全啱哂我post上ig。 佢食物嘅選擇唔算多,但係draft beer就好多,所以見到都有好多外國人係度hangout。我一睇餐廳就知道一定要叫嘅係賽螃蟹麵😋,跟住仲叫咗個beetroot & avocado,grilled squid salad,hanger steak同埋兩杯draft beer。Beetroot & avocado - 本身覺得無咩驚喜,但係加埋個底嘅greek yogurt同埋鎮江醋又幾特別,啱哂我喱啲要keep fit嘅女仔💪🏻Grilled squid salad - 另一個好開胃嘅健康之選,啲萵荀好爽脆,但係squid grill得有少少苦,不過加埋個四季桔沙律汁酸酸地可以綜和番。主角出場啦!👏🏻👏🏻啲上海粗麵唔會太冧啱啱好,最憎香港啲意粉/麵冧batbat。個蛋黃撈埋啲花蟹牛油醬好好味,記住要加醋! 如果啲蟹肉多啲,同埋有蟹膏就好啦😍最後就係hanger steak,佢係menu都寫住*always come rare,所以怕生嘅朋友仔就唔好叫啦! 外表其實係好靚嘅,但係唔知係咪個扒唔夠靚,咬到中間個位有筋,同埋要嚼好耐先呑到。其實好可惜,因為賣相10分,所以有啲小失望,個黑淑醬都幫唔到手😔 整體係好味嘅,不過bae覺得喱個價錢黎講份量有啲細,但係我就覺得都食埋個環境嘅,適合同朋友傾計飲酒chill。番兜指數: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (仲有好多小食想試) continue reading
