麵條太碎,要用匙羹才拿到,味道也不太接受,雖說是馬來特色,但味道却比豉油炒麵還淡,材料也太少,除了雞絲兩三條外,就連洋蔥、青椒等也不多,麵條太淋,噬口不足,是全晚所點食品中最差的一個。

On the night we went to Satay Inn, there were very few customers (like one other table).   As a result, service was fine.   Waiters were attentive, if a bit bored-looking. 

Food was a mixed bag.   The best thing we had was the Hainan chicken rice, which was authentically done (Singapore-style) and full of flavor.   The other dishes were decidedly bland.  Vegetables were greasy.   Char Kway Teo had no flavor at all.....a big bowl of starch.

Prices are quite high for a place in a residential neighborhood (not a tourist district)!   Most HKers would think poor value for money and I can't imagine too many mainland hotel guests (the presumed market for the "upgrade" from bar to restaurant) would be eating there either.     I think the hotel management will soon conclude they should have left the A Bar in place.....

Started off with the Satay Combination which was pretty fresh and tasty.

The Pepper Prawns were pretty big and flavorful, although they did have a faint bleach smell to them...

The Hainan chicken was fresh and very smooth.

The Ong Choy was also pretty tasty, not too oily and still very green after being stir-fried.

The Chow Kwai Tiu was also okay.

Service was okay by the staff.

個人一向喜歡香口美味的星馬菜式,雖然香港星馬菜館林立,但正宗地道的選擇並不多,大多混入港式口味以迎合本地人的喜好...是次親臨北角城市花園酒店,親嚐以地道的星馬菜式而聞名的沙嗲軒。走到酒店B/F 就來到沙嗲軒了,店內裝潢以木色為主調,環境幽靜,寬敞光猛。點了一共有五道菜的Tasting Menu。整個Menu 會同一時間上菜,賣相亦相當吸引精緻。沙嗲串燒燒得香口,配上附設的充滿香濃花生味的沙嗲醬更是絕配!海南雞已去骨,食的時候會更方便,雞肉嫩滑,而雞皮亦不會過厚,油飯不算太油膩,可是油飯似乎不太夠熱。由於本人一向對肉骨茶的藥材味完全無好感,而這碗同樣帶有濃濃的藥材味,恕我實在不清楚怎樣才算得上是好味肉骨茶-.-星洲蘿蔔糕炒得香辣惹味,但稍嫌不夠乾身,欠了點脆口的口感。最後當然少不了甜品作結,就是五道菜中我最愛的馬六甲椰汁西米布甸❤粒粒晶瑩的西米凝固成果凍狀,咬口QQ爽滑,加入了帶焦糖味的椰糖,令整道甜品的味道層次昇華,不會過於甜膩,但卻非常香醇濃郁。

個名吸引左我,但係好改善既地方

雖然胡椒味係足夠,肉都算滑,單骨類風格亦容易入口

但一來胡椒唔入味,二來本身雞翼調味不足,亦單調,絕不惹味

總體上呢度既海南雞飯真係唔差,加上呢個FRIENDLY既價錢(酒店餐廳來講,性價比高)

有機會約人來食下其他野先
