Dip Sampler
去過中東旅行,特別喜歡吃hummus之類配麵包的前菜。這裡有4款供選擇,心大心細,當然點個有齊4款的sampler。先說Pita bread,微微烤過,軟熟,乾身的表面淋了少許橄㰖油,麵包味很香,單吃也好吃。

最喜歡的一款,必是Taramosalata。鱈魚卵加薯蓉和檸檬,入口細滑,啖啖魚鮮,魚鮮在口裡久久不散。Eggplant dip是烤茄子,微凍的茄子蓉帶點紅椒的甜,很清新。Tzatziki 是希臘乳酪加青瓜絲和蒜,乳酪的少少酸中帶溶在其中的蒜香,再加爽口的青瓜絲,是最清新的一款。最飽肚必數Fava Bean Dip。嚡口的豆蓉,沒有太多橄㰖油,乾身但豆香突出,加了蔥花、capers和車厘茄做點綴。

Saganaki Cheese
芝士選擇很多,沒有點拼盤,怕份量太多。店員推介這個鐵板上的炸芝士。Saganaki,就是鐵板。店方會用希臘的硬芝士做這道菜式。稍為揤點檸檬汁,平衡一下炸過的膩。大概1cm厚的芝士,被麵包和蛋做的炸漿包著,咬下去很輕很鬆的脆,然後吃到芝士的軟而少少實,少少韌,口感一流。味道方面,先晬檸檬的酸,可能是我揤得太重手,緊接著芝士香。芝士不鹹,慢慢咀嚼,香氣徐徐滲出來,柔和地充斥口腔,說重不重,說淡不淡,味道剛剛好。喜歡不喜歡芝士,都可以一試。

Souvlaki是希臘的串燒,是當地著名的快餐,當然要一試。男友不喜歡肉,單吃菜又有點悶,於是冒著乾又嚡的風險選了吞拿魚。可幸的是,它沒讓我們失望。厚厚的四粒吞拿魚,燒上兩條烤紋,賣相漂亮。切開後,淺灰色的肉中間呈很淺的粉紅,不濕不乾,一點都不嚡。吞拿魚味道向來不重,不及油香十足的鱈魚、三文魚吸引,也沒有鱸魚等的嫩滑,但它平實、健康。伴碟的蔬菜粒有三色椒,蘿蔔和青瓜,用橄㰖油炒至軟腍,僅餘一點口感,勝在超香,加了香草調味,使之帶鹹,跟紅椒、黃椒的甜配搭,十分好吃。

Eggplant casserole, in fresh tomato sauce and herbs topped with galotyri
店員說這個是醬,建議我們配一份pita bread。上面的一大堆芝士,見到都興奮。Galotyri是最古老的芝士之一,以羊奶或山羊奶做成,軟身、厚滑、濕度高。把芝士和蕃茄醬拌勻,使深紅色的變得深紅帶橙。圓柱型,直徑大概3cm的茄子,沒被煮至軟腍,反而很爽,就是因為夠厚而保留了中間清淡而明顯的茄子味。茄子烤過,即使沾滿蕃茄醬也沒有蓋過表面的燒烤香。茄子本身不多汁,靠蕃茄醬增加濕度。蕃茄味超濃,混了芝士有助平衡一下,味道偏重,配麵包就剛好。吃到粒狀的芝士,似feta cheese少少嚡口但沒feta cheese的鹹,跟茄蓉混在一起,無論口感、味道,都一流。

filo比一般酥皮薄、乾,也沒有使人充滿罪疚感的牛油香。超薄的filo包著中間的吉士。一向做吉士都是用粟粉,semolina在印象中只用作做意大利粉。把粟粉換成粗粒小麥粉除了因其蛋白質含量較高而較健康外,吉士的質地較厚,滑但不會形容為幼滑,幾特別。蛋香、奶香都夠,不會太甜,加了肉桂粉調味,更香的同樣,還添上聖誕的感覺。我倆都未吃甜品已經很飽,結果還是甜品好吃得搶著吃。

看上去不是很多,但我倆都吃到超飽。店員很友善,按我們的要求推介餐牌上的菜式,又會在上菜時簡單介紹。臉帶笑容,幾親切。年紀大了,不再追求激情,只想一切從簡。平淡的聖誕夜,畫上完美的句號。

I regularly visit this restaurant in Wan Chai. The balcony is an enjoyable corner to relax and have a drink or a meal, but just until 11:00 pm; then you can go on but inside. Food is amazing and dishes very well served. No much artistic on a plate, just true and tasty Greek food. The decoration helps your mind travel to a Mediterranean environment while savouring a quite good variety of its flavours.

每次部門有同事生日,我們便會挑選從沒去過的餐廳。今次也不例外,我們去了 QRE Plaza 的希臘菜 Santorini。我以前在它們在 Soho 的分店吃過晚餐,環境氣氛與食物質素也非常好,所以我對今餐也很期待。午膳提供四道菜的套餐,有沙律、湯、主菜和甜品。價錢由 $110 至 $125 不等,相比起灣仔同類型的西餐廳,這裡也算掋吃出。餐湯已是失望,味道跟金寶 chicken and rice 罐頭湯無異,令我懷疑真的是金寶湯。雞肉十分粗糙,湯質稠身,而味道也偏鹹。沙律普通,但醬汁酸酸的也很開胃。主菜的 Seafood Kritharoto ($125) 很有趣。用的是一種特别意粉叫 Greek Orzo,它的外型像意大利米 rissoto,但口感和味道則像微型意粉,煙煙韌韌很有口感。炒飯的材料有爽口彈牙的大蝦、肥美蜆肉和魷魚。再加上希臘紅花香料和白酒烹調,味道豐富又特别。甜品是奶凍 Panna cotta,帶著香滑的奶味,上面還有合桃和蜜糕。奶凍夠滑溜,而整體不會太甜,很合我口味。

今晚唔太肚餓,簡單點咗3個菜,但都盡顯希臘菜嘅6大特點。希臘嘅飲食係典型嘅地中海風格,受咗意大利、西班牙、土耳其等國嘅影響。又因為地理位置同氣候嘅關係,擁有相當豐富嘅海鮮同蔬果,希臘人鍾意用新鮮嘅食材嚟烹飪,烹煮方式都相當簡單,多數用碳烤或者燉煮,保留食物最天然嘅味道,再利用香料同調味料嚟增添食物口感嘅層次。
特點一: 因為氣候好,一年四季都有豐富嘅蔬果,新鮮嘅蕃茄、小黃瓜、青椒、沙律葉之外,由綿羊奶製成嘅費達芝士(Feta Cheese)及黑橄欖,都係希臘菜常用嘅食材。
特點二: 橄欖油喺希臘飲食中佔咗非常重要嘅地位,從開胃菜到甜點都會用。
特點三: 因為三面臨海,為希臘提供來自海洋嘅新鮮漁獲,所希臘人好鍾意海鮮,例如鱈魚、鰻魚、蝦、八爪魚同魷魚等等,會以簡單嘅碳烤或油炸,撒上橄欖油、醋、奧勒岡等調味料,品嚐海鮮最天然嘅鮮味。
特點四:希臘菜中有一個相當大嘅特色就係用勁多香草同香料,但又唔會過量使用呢d調味料。最常見嘅有羅勒,幾乎每道菜都有,其它好似檸檬、薄荷、歐芹、迷迭香、百里香、巴西里、肉桂等等都成日用。
特點五:希臘人其實乜肉都食雞、豬、牛、羊,自當中以羊肉最普遍,除咗炆燉又會做成肉串,加埋蕃茄、青椒一起碳烤。
特點六:希臘種植麥類嘅歷史相當悠久,發展出各式各樣嘅麵包,當中Pita最常見,利用麵粉做成嘅圓形中空餅皮,好似個袋咁可放d炒好嘅羊肉、蕃茄、洋蔥同酸奶醬入去一齊食,係當地人其中一樣主食。另外,Filo都一樣普遍,可以做酥皮點心,例如菠菜餅、果仁餅等等,似我哋食開嘅千層酥皮。

Fresh Tuna Salad
沙律菜好新鮮,配埋蕃茄、洋蔥,沙律醬用橄欖油做基底嘅油醋醬。吞拿魚簡單碳烤至80%熟,仲見到少少粉紅色,肉質嫩而見味道鮮甜! 雖然menu 上話係mango,但實際佢比咗鮮橙,鮮橙帶點點果酸味,食落令人感覺更加Fresh!

Other Info. : 一個關於橄欖樹作為和平象徵嘅希臘神話,智慧女神雅典娜同海王波塞冬為咗爭奪希臘呢座美麗珍貴嘅城市,各自送出一份禮物比希臘嘅子民,等佢地自己揀自己嘅守護神。波塞冬將佢支三叉戟篤喺地下,出現咗一群白馬,白馬奔向海化作洶湧嘅浪花。 而雅典娜拎起佢支長槍篤喺地下,地下立刻生咗一棵好茂盛嘅橄欖樹。橄欖樹唔單止可以遮擋住炎熱嘅太陽,而且橄欖油可以食同塗喺身上消除疲勞。橄欖為希臘嘅子民帶來財富,於是希臘嘅子民揀咗雅典娜成為佢哋嘅守護神!

Had this on the list for a long time and finally the chance to drop by. Had Mousakka and Lamb Souvlaki. It was EXCELLENT!!!! Food was tasty, service was great and ambience was relaxing; not too crowded.Will definitely be back...will check out on their desserts next time.

Had this on the list for a long time and finally the chance to drop by. Had Mousakka and Lamb Souvlaki. It was EXCELLENT!!!! Food was tasty, service was great and ambience was relaxing; not too crowded.

Will definitely be back...will check out on their desserts next time.

今晚好大雨,咁啱係QRE,就㨂左5樓既Santorini試下。呢間是一間食希臘野既餐廳,所以一定要試下Souvlaki 同海鮮食品。我叫左:grilled Octopus: 八爪魚煑得好淋,不過酸味很重Seafood pasta: 份量足,不過味道太喊,茄汁太多了Chicken souvlaki: 雞有D乾,最唔好係D薯條,又濕又燶lemonade: 賣相ok其實我唔係成日食希臘野,唔知佢正唔正中,不過呢間餐廳的野食味道都比較偏重。餐廳環境幾舒服,同朋友仔傾計的好地方。

首先上紅湯,湯味偏鹹⋯而且味道真係好怪⋯飲咗幾啖,實在飲唔落⋯⋯

然後係steak。牛肉都幾新鮮的,但太薄身太細塊啦而且黑椒汁太濃太多,沙律菜望落無汁而且擺盤好亂好似剛從一大袋家庭裝沙律菜入面求其夾出來咁。望落無乜食慾所以我都幾乎無掂到。

曾聽過很多希臘神話故事, 也聽過很多友人的希臘旅遊逸事, 亦到過希臘毗鄰的土耳其旅行了, 但始終, 希臘對我來說, 仍是遙不可及的事...... 而今晚, 就與友人們一同來吃希臘菜, 嘗試感受希臘的氣氛.這裡還有露天座位. 假如四周也沒有高樓圍繞著, 多好哩. 餐前包有彼得包配上四款醬料. 每款醬料各有特色. 在四款之中, 我最喜歡右邊的Tzatziki, 它是希臘乳酪, 酸瓜及蒜蓉的混合物. 清新中帶點辛口. 如彼得包可以再大塊一點, 再厚一點, 就可沾更多醬料, 更滿足.這是一碟很豐富的吞拿魚沙律, 有大量沙律菜, 車厘茄, 芒果, 吞拿魚塊等. 沙律菜都很新鮮, 且沙律醋的調味亦下得剛好, 不多也不少. 每塊沙律菜都沾有黑醋, 吃起來既清新又不單調.蕃茄濃湯是超級濃稠的蕃茄湯, 我懷疑廚師是沒有怎麼加過水的. 每喝一口湯. 都像在吃蕃茄似的. 幸好它不太酸. 更帶有強烈香草味, 很讚.這個海鮮意粉好吃到不得了. 熱騰騰的意粉內藏有大蝦, 蜆肉, 魚肉, 甚為豐富. 掛滿在每條意粉上的醬汁, 不單止有蕃茄的甜中帶酸的味道, 最重要是有濃厚的海鮮味道, 真的是名副其實的海鮮意粉!白色

月前在外地試過一希臘菜式,名為Saganaki,席前以火焰燒炸芝士,想好夢重溫,惟漂亮的希臘籍女經理解釋,地道的Saganaki絕不會有這玩意,是美國商人「發明」以此作招徠,一件厚硬的羊奶芝士撲了麵粉及蛋漿炸成西多士狀,上灑檸檬汁吃,熱溶的芝士竟不覺膩,惟各人似留有以待,故每人一口便鳴金收兵。

呢個沙律絕不是平時食的西式沙律。用上新鮮的八爪魚造主要材料,微微燒過很香口惹味。加上極度新鮮的車厘茄,食起上黎很Juicy。其他青瓜蔬菜配料都是比一般的沙律新鮮得多。
