It was a cold evening and we wanted to have hotpot for dinner. We were trying our luck to see if they have tables because we didn't make any reservation in advance. Ordered for their signature broth (comes with some pork trotter, chicken feet, green veges, corn, tomatoes, etc in it) and some hotpot dishes to go with it:
-3 "combo balls" which consists of prawn balls, cuttlefish balls, and pork balls - good, nothing special to be mentioned;
- Fried and rolled bean curd skin - very good, love it. Crispy to be taken straight away, or can be dipped into the soup for 1-2 seconds to get a mixture of soft and crispy texture,

- Fresh prawns - very fresh, prawns were still moving (a little) when being served;
- Bean curd skin with fish paste - ok, nothing special to be mentioned;
- Pork stomach - ok, nothing special to be mentioned;
- Baby cabbages - ok, nothing special to be mentioned.

Overall, the environment and service are much better compared to most hotpot places in Hong Kong - may be that is why the price is much more expensive?
Food wise, pretty good, they emphasis on fresh and live seafood. We noticed that there were lots of photographs with Hong Kong celebrities pasted on the walls, not too sure if they are the regulars here..


All in all, good food, good service, pleasant environment, but pricey. HK$5xx for two person is almost twice the price for other local hotpot places. Do note that, we noticed a obvious "dry-mouth" feeling after the meal, so, people whom are MSG-sensitive would probably think twice before trying.

We ordered a "duo" hotpot, with their signature broth (clear consomme with various veggies and tofu) and a "Malaysian satay" (not very spicey but lots of garlic gave it a great flavor). We enjoyed the variety and contrasting tastes of this combination.

Some really excellent hotpot dishes:
-- Pork-and-chive dumplings
-- Fried bean curd skin
-- Ostrich meat
-- Scallops

We found the Angus beef to be too fatty for our taste. (My companion said I should have ordered the "local" beef, which is a bit more expensive but also more lean. Live and learn....)

Thoroughly enjoyable food in a pleasant environment. The price was not cheap -- at $420 for two people it was about double what our local hotpot restaurant costs.

Note: This is not the place for people sensitive to MSG. After the meal, we all noticed a distinct "dry-mouth" sensation typical of MSG. It wouldn't stop me from going back, but people who are highly sensitive should look elsewhere.

火煱湯底選了惹味的雜菜羅宋湯湯底,味道濃淡得宜,不會搶了食材的味道。席間追加的亦是羅宋湯湯底,不會敷衍加水了事。火煱生料方面,賣相不俗,用料新鮮。海鮮類所選不多,只吃了美國筒蠔及鱔片。前者一碟有六大隻,放在冰碟上以保新鮮。後者快灼數下,肉質結實爽口,good。丸類方面,專點手打款式,評分OK,尤其喜愛墨丸及潮州魚蛋。另一火煱主打肥牛,本地手切及安格斯兩款式皆試過,前者肉味較濃,後者口感較腍,各有千秋。蔬菜類方面,以甜菜心及超甜粟米較出色,一如其名的「甜」。飯後有鉋冰甜品贈送,以冰碗盛載保溫度。試了薑汁及Moca兩味道,味道以Moca略勝一籌。最後一談服務,店員會自動為客人加水加湯,亦會安排換碟。吃到中後段的時候,更會主動幫忙去走湯面的油,挺貼心!

下午三點幾去到灣仔, 朋友介紹來試下, 坐低後見佢有下午茶餐就試下. 餐牌上輕盈叉燒飯$22一定好細碟, 所以就叫了$50的雙拼飯(油雞+燒鴨). 記住呢個係下午茶餐的價錢. 老公就點了燒肉叉燒飯. 當我碟飯來到大第一個feel就係真係下午茶size, 超細碟, d 燒鴨係拍扁後再慚果隻, 有99%是肥膏, 完全唔食得落肚. 後來個經理幫我換過一碟. 不過已經一肚氣, 既然收得呢個價錢, 細碟d無所謂, 但真係唔值, 求其去大家樂大快活d 燒味都好食過佢. 裝修幾靚都無用.....唔會再比機會佢

魚旦拼片頭:雖然兩者都爽口彈牙,但魚旦好過片頭,較鮮

芋絲:質素比在超市買到的好,好彈牙,又易咬

竹蔗茅根水:非常足味,很濃,也不是只有甜味。
甜品:砵仔糕,味道好怪,只吃了一啖

服務很好,服務員很有禮貌,會主動撇油夠細心,讚!
環境也很好,坐得好舒服,冷氣充足!

埋單六百幾,OR coupon, 平咗$150,每人最後只需$170,幾抵食。

竹庶馬蹄水依然是水準之作,蔬菜新鮮,紅蘿蔔都零舍甜,帶子鮮味,花膠夠稔,連豉油都好好味(天后那火煱名店的豉油在我來說就過鹹了)!吃畢,部長亦有上前詢問意見,又送兩客刨冰給我們,一款是姜汁奶,姜味足,好清新!另一款芒果也不錯,我們另點的冰火榴槤酥就麻麻地!

我很喜歡吃火鍋,有新火鍋店就想一試。南燒北鍋是太興燒味的分支,太興燒味質素不錯,但燒味和火鍋生料完全是兩碼子的事,本期望不高,怎料驚喜不斷。1.點了蘿蔔牛腩鍋底,牛味不濃,但牛腩出乎意料地軟滑,煲了很久一點也不韌。蘿蔔不是白蘿蔔,是紅蘿蔔,還有南瓜,始終及不上白蘿蔔吸味。2.本地手切肥牛:牛味十足,脂肪分佈平均,肉質軟韌適中,好好味,讚!只是$168一碟,稍貴。3.響鈴:香脆不油膩,滾數秒就可,正!4.炸魚皮:侍應說是新鮮炸起,即食亦可,入湯後入口軟中帶脆,不韌,完全沒有其他過氣炸魚皮的油”益”味。5.白菜豬肉餃、韮菜餃:餃皮厚度適中,餡料十分新鮮,鮮嫩多汁,難得食得出菜的質地及鮮味,又讚!6.墨魚滑:有新鮮墨魚粒,墨魚膠打得爽口彈牙,正!7.帶子:新鮮,但size稍細其他普通材料如油蜜菜、白菜、粉絲、菇類、芝士腸等等,很少出問題。服務很好,主動推介食物,自動加湯加水,抵讚!6個女孩子吃得又飽又滿足,只是貴了一點點,埋單要$1,070。

,唔似其他店舖只得個鹹字,無咗鴨蛋的香味
,其他食物普通,無特別。
熱奶茶:我們兩個都認為夠濃,夠滑,好飲。

對於我們幾乎每天都飲奶茶、咖啡的人,便很好。
但如果你是一星期才飲一次的人,我奉勸你唔好飲,免得你接受唔到。


服務:-

個個人都埋頭苦幹換爐,無人理會我們(除了極速落單及食完時收嘢外),所以唔知道。


整體上,都OK。
為了杯奶茶,我會考慮再惠顧。

只是此店地點與一般上班地點隔了一段距離, 不然, 喜歡食燒臘飯當午餐的, 可以常來. 不過大道東越來越多office, 來這個食飯的人, 也相對是越來越多, 太興everyday, 相信有不少灣北既打工仔, 已經做緊.

聽聞晚上很旺場呢晚同 2 位朋友去打邊爐等咗20分鐘就有位真係全層爆滿呢度用電磁爐嘅每枱有一小碟蠔油豆小食幾好味架。。。我地點咗沙爹鴛鴦鍋仲有酸梅湯, 够冰東三寶丸。爽口又彈牙又鲮魚腐。吸晒沙爹湯汁。好味藕片、黑木耳、生根、竽絲、生根皇帝菜(唔係度度有供應)、菠菜美國大桶蠔共12隻。非常肥美手捲響鈴。新鮮炸起。放落鍋浸一浸即食本地手切肥牛。可以再切薄啲本來點咗脆肉鲩魚腩但售馨結賬前..........每位送上一件迷你砵仔糕做甜品味道當然唔及傳統嘅好味啦呢頓火煱又食咗3粒鐘要一讚呢度嘅職員工作勤快又有禮貌有空要再去滾一滾先得
