Rice Paper晚上約了朋友在世貿吃晚飯, 看這家門口沒有人等,問了工作人員有沒有位,對方直接帶了我們坐在廚房門口右邊的位置.我們點了西柚沙律、軟殼蟹粉卷、炒通菜、青咖哩豬頸肉配面包、白飯西柚沙律:西柚酸酸辣辣的,配以花生碎剛好蓋過其中的酸味,食出一些脆香的味道,很是開胃,不錯。軟殼蟹粉卷:不太喜歡裏面香葉的味道,且粉皮太厚,軟殼蟹不夠脆和熱,失望。炒通菜:除了鹹,吃不到通菜的菜味。餸白飯食也覺得鹹。青咖哩豬頸肉配面包:咖哩味非常正,但仍然蓋不住豬頸肉的雪藏味。面包唔錯,很香。人來客往,生意很好,但全程工作人員都算熱情周到,出菜也非常快捷。 continue reading

When there late on SundayStarter - Lobster avocado salad came after I finished noddle ( pad Thai) not happy with that taste : Lobster is chewy , not fresh. avocado is fresh, great presentation, sauce tasty well balanced Pad Thai - so so , NO MSG . 星期日晚上,只有7、8成客人。除了隔離枱勁 cheap 的6人家庭經常吵鬧影響心情外(批評為何朱扒會沽清),這裡都算舒適。服務員都只是穿黑色 t-shirt 的青年,要求當然不能太高,但也算不錯。雖然我們沒有點飲品(好像有折),但他們仍會細心詢問我們要冷或熱水。芒果帶子米卷(約$60):雖然我不太習慣太多的香草,也不太感覺到有帶子,但我仍很滿意。口感好,芒果好,味道清新!柚子沙律(約$50):只是簡單的一大碗柚子肉、加上花生碎。兩人分吃好像太多,吃到有少許沉悶。當然,是抵吃的。朱肉粉包(約$40):我問服務員有什麼「清清地」的小吃推介,他就介紹我們點這個。價錢便宜,也可以的。烤鴨黃飯(約$100):比想像中清新,不會太油。加上三大件瘦瘦的烤鴨扒,可算抵吃又健康。木瓜椰青大菜糕(約$40):椰青味道香,不太甜,很好。 continue reading

相信很多人單一從門面裝修估計必定聯想此店格調像西方嘆茶的地方,但偏偏這兒卻是一間越式餐廳。 其實本人從沒踏足過越南,可能越南的餐店是這樣子也不定,總之店內感覺令人舒服就是了。到達時正值下午茶時間,可能夾雜著中午吃飯的人,因此店內還是繁忙的很。 看到餐牌上寫上1+2+3很吸引,原來是小食拼盤加一主菜和特飲,一個人絕對夠。 拼盤是指定沒有選擇餘地而主菜因興起之下選擇了海鮮喇沙、特飲就選了清新開胃的青檸梳打,令外摯友的提議下追加一客炸軟殼蟹粉卷。小食拼盤先上,夾雜了很多食物如雞串、春卷、小粉卷、芒果卷和炸蟹鉗:雞串看似乾硬入口卻嫩滑而帶著燒的香。芒果卷上的 芒果一點先也不酸反而令人開胃。春卷入口有點米脆香但其實不太肯定內裡的東西,可惜的是得半截而已。小粉卷較可取那種越南獨有的粉皮很軟熟帶點韌性很有咬感呢!蟹鉗感覺比起平平常冰鮮點買到的不同,一來表面炸粉不同二來這個蟹鉗肉感更實不像平常吃到的像膠質(蝦膠那種)。接著的喇沙其實我不太清楚到底什麼是喇沙,在心大心細情況下是只是有點酸辣而已,再混了少少香葉的香,而海鮮只是普通細細粒像急凍品那種再配了芽菜,普通不過了。反而最後的軟殼蟹粉卷更驚喜,軟熟帶點韌性很有咬感的粉皮又再出現了,拿走那片我討厭的香葉配了像火腿片牛油果挺好味,而且蟹新鮮炸起入口冷熱交替著,別有一番風味。但不幸的事始終出現,問題在於那個附送的汁,入口甜中帶重重的苦澀味就像橙或柚子的皮磨成調較出來的,個人而言覺得兩者不配合,一點也受不了那味道!雖然食物整體上說不上印象難忘,但環境格調卻的確挺悠閒舒適,特別在現代風格上帶點懷舊,上面的吊扇看到真的令人懷念舊日子! continue reading

I always come here for the Grilled Pork Neck bun noodles because although they use pork neck marbled with almost no fat, the meat remains tender and juicy, so having one of these for lunch always leaves me feeling very healthy. I've also tried their set lunch once, and the appetizer platter exceeded my expectations by about 300%! The platter, a beef pho, AND a drink together set me back less than HKD100. (Although I have nothing much to say about the beef pho...) Desserts are generally decent too! but ONE THING I WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN = the rice paper duck roll ... I had an awesome duck roll in Hanoi in my last trip to Vietnam and came back really craving it. So since they call themselves RICE PAPER here i expected something that would provide me with at least 10% of the satisfaction I got from the duck roll in Vietnam. but NO this thing was proper nasty The roll was completely disproportionate (as you can see in the photo), with WAY too much cucumber and more sickeningly, too much mayonnaise. To finish off this most undesirable dish the smoked duck was bland too. But I'll be back for more grilled pork bun noodles continue reading
