第一次光顧白宮冰室,是在2010年6月。那時的我,剛完成末代會考等放榜,又未找到暑期工,與其呆在家中,倒不如拿起相機到各區閒逛。某天走到九龍城,就經過白宮冰室,那時一名中年男子(後來知道他是老闆許先生)在門外招客。當時見店內擺設殘舊,又沒冷氣,不欲內進。直至在附近逛了十多二十分鐘,始終不敵酷熱的天氣,便打算走進店喝杯凍飲。踏進店內,頓時覺得時光倒流五十年。桌椅,窗花等都經歷歲月的洗禮,顯得失色。點了一客常餐:沙爹牛肉意粉,火腿庵列,配凍奶茶。凍奶茶加了太多奶,茶味欠奉。店內沒有空調,夏天光顧,真係會一邊食野一邊流汗><記憶中我只幫襯過白宮3次。 直至2012年某天再經過,只見大閘上鎖,從窗外可見店內一片凌亂,碎片離物散佈一地。一陣悲傷感覺湧現。。。 continue reading

週末下班前突然很想飲熱奶茶,還是要一杯以有耳厚厚咖啡杯盛載那種,不知為何腦海就彈出白宮冰室的名字,趁著天氣冷冷的日子到訪這裡,一定比天氣炎熱的日子合適我,gogogo!與新穎的翔龍灣只是一條小街之隔的世界截然不同,人流即時較少而樓宇也由高聳入雲的新式大廈變為矮矮殘舊的唐樓,老冰室就在路邊轉角處,門前那古舊汽水櫃及一盤盤的麵包跟現在窗明几淨的茶餐廳模式已有分別。店裡花樣年華道具似的壁燈更證明了她有相當的歷史,坐在蒙塵窗花旁邊的木製卡座,店裡無論卡座或四人餐桌也是木製,經過數十年風霜,卡座雖然殘舊仍算實淨,但每當後面客人一移動,我都可以感受得到,幸好後面阿叔沒有印腳習慣而我也沒有坐塌這古董,萬幸! 穿著經典白色袋口綉有紅色店名侍應衣服的叔叔敏捷的拿杯熱茶給我,感冒未癒唯有放棄美味的炸雞髀飯,改為點一份著名特餐。熱奶茶的咖啡杯就是今天我想要那種,飽歷風霜的杯子連花紋也洗到似有還無, 這還未算經典,那支攪拌用的鐵茶匙尖端竟是崩的,連鐵茶匙也用到如斯效果,何況咖啡杯呢奶茶熱乎乎的溫度令身體變暖,紅茶味啖來還算夠紅茶香,個人認為可以再濃香一點,花奶份量剛好的令紅茶更香滑,不加糖也沒有任何苦澀,奶茶水準可算不差。沙爹牛肉麵以普通大光麵煮成,不是什麼一丁或福麵,能將即食麵條煮得剛熟、爽口不糊看似簡單,其實要煮得好都不容易,廚房裡原來有高手! 湯底本身味道不重,混合沙爹汁後湯底變濃,令淡味麵條變成更加好吃;典型港式沙爹汁沒有什麼特別香料或加入椰汁,鹹中有甜但不辣的沙爹汁跟小時候吃過的沙爹汁味道相若,用來作沙爹牛治一定很惹味;牛肉應有以鬆肉粉加工過,不過又不會令肉質太過軟綿,還有點點可嚼感,牛味當然也沒有太多了,但配合麵條就有種魔力,其實我可以點沙爹牛麵走牛肉嗎我想吃其汁多過牛肉哦。上桌時油泡還在跳動的火腿庵列表面看似乾乾的,其實中間還有蛋汁的唷,當時真有點驚喜的! 油光閃閃的蛋皮煎得金黃,邊邊更是脆脆的,我也忘記多久沒吃過有雞蛋香的雞蛋了,今天竟在此遇到,再多一次驚喜!在現今日子,蛋有蛋味也不是必然的。摺疊工整的庵列裡藏著粉紅色幼細洋火腿絲,將其混和未熟蛋汁的效果更為滑嫩,個人認為這碟的確是好吃的蛋耶!以為這個特餐在店裡很受歡迎,原來雲吞麵及豬手麵才更受街坊歡迎,座位跟開放式麵檔非常接近,一邊吃餐一邊觀看老闆娘在前面煮麵,只是豬手麵已先後煮了幾碟了! 除了我就再沒有其他客人點特餐,誰是街坊一看已知;鄰桌姑娘正享受她的炸雲吞,咔嚓香脆之聲及酸甜芡汁的香氣不住飄過來,引得這邊不能吃炸物但想吃的我口水狂流。除了在麵檔忙不過來的老闆娘外,另一位滿頭銀髮的婆婆坐陣收銀處,難道這位婆婆是五十多年前開業時的老老闆娘 continue reading

There was a similar cafe like this called 祥利冰室 Cheung Lee Restaurant in Tin Hau, but it closed down before I could try.Although I am not a fan of Chinese food, I like to visit these cafes because they are historic.Inside the cafe it was like being in a scene from a Hongkie film.Anyway, I really liked the old ceiling fans, clocks, old tiles, chipped chinaware which really matched the old area in ToKwaWan.I chose the donut because it wasnt that Chinesey.It had a different smell to the western ones, perhaps because of the oil used to fry it. continue reading

11月11日…是日放假,去完牛棚影相後,就去拜會下呢間年紀同我爹娘咁上下嘅老冰室~一入到去,已經feel到嗰種充滿歷史嘅味道,一檯一凳,充滿歷史同上代港人為兩餐付出嘅血汗~有碟頭飯,亦有雲吞粉麵,但嚟得冰室,都係試下個特餐好~特餐有火腿奄列,沙爹牛湯意,一杯熱齋啡,total盛惠$24~個奄列好好食,最重要係隻蛋煎得剛剛好,唔太熟,仲有少少蛋漿漏出,又多火腿~個沙爹牛意就相對普通咗啲,如果配返公仔麵會正啲~杯啡都唔錯,唔太苦,熱辣辣,好香~$24一個特餐,唔算話貴,聽講炸肶唔錯,下次可以試下~睇住相熟食客一路食一路同事頭婆&員工吹水,談天說地,呢種情景,睇怕過多十年都好難再見到… continue reading
