前兩星期要搬遷的事務,非常忙碌。今天難得Happy Friday,老婆難得有空,決定一齊撐枱腳,食最好味的西餐,於是來到Odelice!剛就座不久,已經坐滿了食客,非常有人氣。餐廳菜式都有濃厚的法國情調,猶如置身巴黎的感覺。本週特選湯蘿蔔加點薑味,非常開胃,兩者的味道很夾。黑松露蘑菇湯真材實料,都是蘑菇攪醉而成,飲落淡淡菇香,面層更有黑松露點綴,倍感滋味。雜錦海鮮意式扁麵扁麵軟滑有咬口,海鮮有帶子,三文魚柳及青口,鮮味十足。美國安格斯羅西尼菲利牛排超邪惡的一道菜,牛排很厚身,煎得恰到好處,內裡透紅,更有肉汁溢出,牛排上面更有一塊鴨肝,有種說不出的幸福感覺。自家製提拉米蘇質感香滑,少少甜帶點酒香,全都是餐廳自家製作。煎香蕉,焦糖醬,雪糕可班戟很有法式風味,香蕉和班戟都煎得脆口,混合雪糕一起品嘗是完美的配搭。比利時巧克力朱古力味香濃,不太甜,相信餐廳為了迎合顧客的口味特意降低甜度,今朱古力味更為突出。 continue reading

It has been a while since I had a traditional French crepe. Coming to Odelice! on Landale street in Wan Chai, it is a casual restaurant and cafe with a cosy and welcoming ambience. Their menu serves a variety of authentic French dishes, including a selection of salad and pasta dishes, also French mussels, beef tenderloin, galettes and crepes.Starting from the a la carte menu, we enjoy so much on the beef tartare served with toasted rye bread. The raw beef has been finely chopped and mixed with onions, capers, ground pepper and Worcestershire sauce, topped with a raw egg yolk for a fresh and complex flavor, definitely scrumptious.The salad arrives with a balsamic dressing, the mix of baby spinach and quinoa is so refreshing and complemented with creamy crumbled feta; also served with toasted bread and smoked salmon.Since it is a weekend afternoon, we opt for a French foie gras galatte from the brunch menu. it is delightful to see a generous piece of perfectly pan-fried foie gras served on top, with a buckwheat crepe filled with sweet and excellently caramelized onion. Not only is it delicious, but also gluten-free!They also do very fresh fruit juices and lemonades, whilst for sweets, there are premium crepes waffles with many options such as butter sugar, nutella spread with banana, as well as cinnamon apple and fruit jams. continue reading

要知道一間餐廳係唔係「真」好食,一定要食兩次。如果第二次用餐都大叫好食,先叫「真」好食。今晚我就帶友人W,去食我之前食過,覺得好食嘅灣仔Odelice。事隔數月,再次光顧,睇下食物水準係唔係真係Keep 到啦~ 對上一次食係4月尾左右時間,今次黎佢地生意一樣咁好,一台接一台,成晚無停手。至於個餐牌,有輕微變動,但signature 款式不變。好喇~言歸正傳,講番食物先~第一道菜係生薑檸檬吞拿魚作前菜。吞拿魚經輕煎,令魚吃起來外帶微脆,內帶軟糯。面頭會有黑椒包住吞拿魚,食起黎會有一粒粒的有質感,味道有點點黑胡椒香,但不辣不嗆喉。加上檸檬的清新酸味,有既提鮮效果,令吞拿魚味道變得更加鮮甜和諧。但老實說,生薑味就食唔出喇,我估計生薑係用黎辟腥,並非為主要調味料,所以至會唔係好食得出。Anyway,作為前菜,味道相當推薦!如果有睇過我之前果篇食評,會見到我上一次狂食甜Crepe ,今次我就決定棄甜取咸,試下佢地既咸Crepe喇~ Crepe 同Galette 有啲唔同,Galette 用蕎麥麵粉+10%麥粉,再以雞蛋和水混合攪拌製作而成。相反,Crepe 係用牛奶去開麵漿架。正常黎講,Galette 嘅配料越簡單越好,因為咁樣至可以食得出餅皮嘅麥香。今次點嘅係Parma Ham Galette,一眼就可以見到深褐色蕎麥餅皮上圍滿Parma Ham,更加上蔬菜、蕃茄、mozzarella 芝士及流心蛋做搭配,材料一眼睇曬,簡單唔複雜。外邊酥脆,內裡煙韌嘅薄餅皮包著爽脆嘅蔬菜及清甜嘅蕃茄,中和咗咸香嘅Parma Ham及芝士。不過,正如我前言,食Galette係為左食佢嘅麥味,所以佢用既Parma Ham 無咁濃味架!亦因為咁,放到口裡满溢着蕎麥味道的薄脆與Parma Ham嘅少咸香一齊食會有一種妙不可言,再佐以流心蛋醬,味覺豐富而平衡。不過,如果你問我,會推薦食咸定食甜,作為嗜甜者嘅我,我會覺得Crepe 味勝一疇。這個黑毛豬肉係無敵好食!成餐飯最好食既正道菜!出面成日都會食到所謂既黑毛豬肉,但食落口就唔見有啲乜野大驚喜,會覺得同普通豬無分別!但呢一款黑毛豬堅係好有驚喜,食得出黑毛豬肉有一家嘅質素,呢塊豬肉外層係脆口既,入面亦超級Juicy,油脂分佈好平均,食落係堅彈牙,食落口一啲都無半點鞋口或韌或有根!口感絕對甘腴豐香,肉質細緻,爽而嫩滑,味道亦非常濃郁,真係真正的「豬有靚豬味」。以紅酒燒汁作底,有輕輕的葡萄香,能帶出鮮甜肉香,醬汁香濃,絕對一流!真的必必必食!鵝肝就食得多喇~今次就試一下鴨肝啦~鴨肝口感上比鵝肝實啲啲,但口感同樣都係柔軟綿密,但會比味濃。呢個菜既主角唔使講都知係鴨肝,入口滑順即溶,油脂極高,鴨肝嘅香味充斥住整個口腔,食得出鮮美無雜味。但由於鴨肝係油脂極重、意粉亦伴有油,以香港人口味黎講,單食呢道菜會有啲油,所以我極建議點杯紅酒作為搭配,以葡萄中和當中嘅油膩感。不然,會太飽滯,食唔落甜品喇!好喇~ 黎到我每次食飯都最期待既環節,食~甜~品~Tiramisu,自家制Tiramisu,咖啡味香濃朴鼻,奶味則未算太濃,口感細滑綿密,入口即化且不油膩不死甜,全因咖啡味既中和,與餡料非常地對味,令人食落去每一啖都係幸福。小Tips:話說我一坐低,我就同友人講,我好想食飄浮之島丫~點知~因為我前面食左太耐,食到人地差不多收工,當想點飄浮之島時,已經賣曬喇~所以如果你想食受歡迎甜品,記住落主菜時順便落埋甜品喇!食後感:食咗兩次,基本上都食左佢地大約十樣既菜式。整體黎講,食物水準overall 都有7.5-8分,以signature 菜式較出色。👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻以下係我食左兩次之後,總結出黎既心水餐單(不分先後):雜錦塔丁拼盤,虎蝦扁意粉(今次黎好似唔覺眼),黑毛豬肉配紅酒燒汁,生薑檸檬吞拿魚,香蕉焦糖班戟(嗜甜者)Tirimisu (不嗜甜者)。 continue reading

Finding a good place to eat in Wanchai is starting to wear me out. Instead of going back to the old good places that we came to enjoy all these time, we all decided to step out of our comfort zone this afternoon and explore a number of places we have never visited before and Odelice!suddenly came up.Not to be confused as people lining up for Odelice, these folks captured in the picture were actually queuing up for a Vietnamese restaurant right next door. Maybe I should have followed their footsteps instead!Odelice! turns out to be a self-served casual eatery offering around 10 dishes on their lunch menu.I started things off with their garden salad which was served with a fairly thick salad dressing. Not a very pleasant first impression there. The cucumber and cherry tomatoes were fine but the lettuce was not crisp and sweet like I thought they should be.When the menu reads "roast chicken and avocado salad...", I fully expect roast chicken and avocado to be featured prominently in the dish so I got a scare when my salad first arrived. Other than the few pieces of thin-sliced chicken fillet and avocado, it was virtually the same salad I had for starter. What was that all about!?I will take part of the blame for misinterpreting the menu but whoever put this together should also know better (roast chicken could literally mean a half chicken roasted in the oven???). This is just very misleading and perhaps writing it as "green salad with roast chicken and avocado" would be much much more fitting. Coz after all, the green salad made up for at least 70-80% of the dish.For a place that prides itself as a modern French kitchen, I certainly expect a little more French flavors in the lunch menu so this was pretty disappointing. Their dinner menu was supposed to be better and more "Frenchie" with stuff like duck leg confit but I guess I will never find out how good that is.PS. To cut them some slack, my colleague's spaghetti with smoked salmon did look alright. (But too bad I'm rating this experience strictly from what I've put into my mouth!) continue reading

平日既放工黎到食法國野,呢間出名小店法國菜,據說可以以平民既價錢食到法國菜既質素。就一如試下啦!星期3上午book枱都有位,但去到發現都好full下,好彩有book啫。小店係好典型既外國餐廳,因為枱同枱之間位置好窄,所以大家都唔會大大聲講野,算係靜得黎又唔會dead air既氣氛。由於地點係灣仔小街,出面仲有單行車路,所以都無室外座,有既話一定會更relax.我地叫左個招牌platter,招牌crepe,加個清酒青口,飲品方面試左個dry apple cider同bottled beer。Platter:  Presentation都幾靚,有麵包條parmesan cheese/腸/煙三文魚/parma ham/蕃茄仔同翠玉瓜,款式雖然唔多但2個人分都叫OK,如果芝士款式可以多D會開心D,同埋parmesan cheese始終都係做配菜好味D。Crepe: order左 cheese , ham&egg, 好薄既一片crepe偏brown,唔係脆身既蛋卷皮 亦唔係軟綿綿既pancake 皮,介乎中間啦;D水牛芝士加火腿正常都好味既,仲有至愛蛋黃,配搭係好'早餐'既一道’甜品‘(見好多人叫左甜既做甜品,但無乜興趣);只可以講話普普通通,但就因為冠名’法國菜‘所以好似個個都要order咁。青口:我想講真係真係無見過咁細既青口!我唔知係咪真係法國青口就咁細啦下,但據友人所說佢果陣去法國都唔係咁細隻架喎。望落係好多咁,但因為細,一啖一隻其實真係得個味而未食到質地,某D青口仲死左無開到,某D又有沙咁,好失望... D薯條係好幼身既,好似M記果D(無誇張到),仲要炸得太乾,得炸皮 食唔到薯條既薯仔蓉...,..另外我杯dry apply cider非常奇怪,係,係有蘋果味既,但好似係爛蘋果多D!dry既話我都預左唔係甜(所以先想飲dry),但個味都唔係咁掛... 而且waitress們太pushy,我地食完啦仲係咁問你要唔要試乜乜乜,其實簡單一句有無野加就得,唔洗俾人感覺好似我地一定要食夠幾個dish先走得咁。 relax D ok...? continue reading
