今日冇帶飯,又諗唔到吃什麼,剛行經這間餐廳見不滿座,就決定試試。價格是一般中環餐廳價位,侍應說如不太肚餓,只叫一個主菜也足夠。我點了前菜Mediterranean Red Prawn及主菜帶子。前菜的紅蝦是薄薄的鋪在碟上,生的紅蝦是鮮甜的,但不是很特別。主菜帶子也頗大粒,但不夠鮮甜。白露荀也烤得太焦了,有太多燒烤的苦味。帶子加上火腿蓉一起吃,火腿的味就蓋過了帶子的鮮味。這裏的碟頭實在不太大,本人吃了這兩樣,只覺得僅僅夠,如果是男生的話就一定不夠。服務還算不錯,招呼殷勤,但也不會像其他高級餐廳那樣幫忙遞餐巾。味道、擺盤也只是一般,但價錢偏貴。一試還可以,但性價比真的不高,不值再來。以這個價格,中環實在有太多其他的選擇。

Mercedes Me is a wow-worthy place as soon as you enter and the food is to match. Though their menu is a bit limited, each dish is executed exceptionally. I don't know where to begin with the food, but their eggs and the burrata dish with cherry gazpacho were the favorites of the night as they were the most unique items. Also the dessert was a chocolate mousse with olive oil which is a flavor combination I've never had before and it really worked. The drinks are great, I got a strawberry cheesecake cocktail which was yummy. It is on the pricey side so I would save it for a special occasion.

這間餐廳在某信用卡推介的restaurant week算是人氣之首,之前三次我都訂不到位,今次總算能試到。餐廳另一面入口是平治汽車的陳列室,因為我們早了點到,餐廳還未開門,招待員很有禮貌讓我們在陳列室坐一會。餐廳裝潢很型格別致,燈光有點昏暗,感覺高貴中又帶點神秘。侍應的服務殷勤又有禮貌,讓客人很舒服。Crispy Salmon Skin脆口的三文魚皮很薄身,配以辣根醬(whipped horseradish)和三文魚子,是一道很特別的前菜。Fresh Burrata 流心芝士很軟滑,加上特製的酸甜蕃茄湯,放在香脆的薄多士上,口感豐富,很令人胃口大開的前菜。Roasted Grass Fed Ribeye 我們要求medium rare,,廚師把ribeye弄得剛剛好,牛扒肉身嫩紅,正合我意。肉質軟腍又有嚼口,充滿牛肉香味,配上濃醇香滑的磨菇醬汁,滋味一流,很是精彩。Spanish Octopus 八爪魚做得非常嫩滑和很鮮味,但份量比較少,所以很快已被我們掃光了。Dulce de Leche咖啡海綿蛋糕咖啡味不太濃,但勝在不太甜,適合不太嗜甜的朋友們,配上焦糖雪糕和輕身的蛋白脆餅,是一款美味的甜品。Ginger Sorbet 因為雪芭薑味不太重,令這甜品略為失色。Cappuccino 咖啡拉花是平治的logo, 賣相很特別;咖啡入口濃郁又很厚身。午餐是不包咖啡或茶的,但只要$40便可以在高級的餐廳享受一杯高質數的咖啡,真的很便宜。

又到Restaurant week, 今年又很好彩地讓我訂到了Mercedes Me的午餐。二月份的時候吃過一次, 對質素是滿意得不得了, 今次自然會有更大的期望。看看菜單, 比起上次都叫有變化, 前菜全換了, 主菜依舊有草飼牛, 甜點則都是那幾味。 Salmon Skin - cured salmon roe, whipped horseradish 賣相不是很好看, 但非常好吃的一味。見到「魚皮」兩字, 正常的香港人應該都會想起麵檔之中炸得脆卜卜的魚皮, 在湯中浸三數秒, 半脆半軟之間汁水淋漓地往嘴中一送, 嗚呼, 多好吃! 不過這一個三文魚皮可是完全不同的另外一種食物。 三文魚皮非常的薄, 幾乎是透光的。高溫烹調之下(是焗嗎)魚皮縮小了, 皺皺的卷卷的, 加上灰白的顏色, 似是山岩的樣子。口感共不是脆的, 甚至是有一點點堅韌, 不過吃起來還是不費氣力的。魚皮有一點咸咸的, 但味道不多, 要靠旁邊的「白色小山」加味。 「白色小山」其實是大家耳熟能詳的辣根醬horseradish。認不出來是因為它的形態並不常見: 做成了泡沫的樣子, 辣根醬鬆鬆的好似忌廉呢, 但卻是輕盈得多。口感與三文魚皮有對比, 加上微微的辣衝擊著口腔之中的味蕃, 這個頭盤, 好吃。 Fresh Burrata至於Burrata, 也真的未免長得太前衛, 賣相一點都不討好。不過也得說, Burrata做得又軟又滑, 是真正的好吃。沒有附上蕃茄而是以蕃茄為基底做了一個汁, 淋上burrata之上, 賣樣更見古怪。是罕有的不愛賣相但愛味道的菜式。 Spanish Octopus Mercedes Me所做的菜是新派的, 但以西班牙菜為基調。個人很是喜歡點魷魚做的tapas, 因而見到主菜之中有它, 就毫不猶豫地點了。真是做得很好的魷魚呢, 留下了很好的口感, 不硬不軟有點嚼口, 鮮香十足。調味並沒有下得很重, 少少的辣粉, 蒜香醬, 橄欖油, 就成。簡單得來好吃。 Roasted grass fed ribeye 這一味上次也吃過, 一直都很想再吃吃他們的蘑菇醬, 今日終於得嚐所願。更好的是今次的牛肉比上次做得好. 豐腴油潤, 香得緊。 Dulce de Leche Chocolate and hazelnut texture不過呢, 甜品就嫌有點太悶了。來mercedes me 吃brunch 也好lunch也好, 基本上都是吃這3款的甜品(catalan, dulce de leche, chocolate and hazelnut textures)。雖然真的很好吃但也開始想, 如果可以出一些新的款式, 可能會多點新鮮感吧? 總得來說還是很滿意的一餐。
