We noticed their opening in October and already targeted it as our anniversary dinner.  We checked their website and tried to book it but the schedule showed all dates were fully booked.  I nearly believed the accuracies of this ebooking but I decided to call and try.  Surprisingly, they have tables available for lunch time on 18 November.We went there on time and during our roughly two hours stay, we found that there were some tables empty.  Strange!  Or perhaps they deliberately left some tables empty during soft opening period?The menu was well listed, not too elaborate.  We ordered sliced snapper as starter followed by Slow cooked pork rib, Rib-eye 400g and seasoned greens as side dish.  The bread came with butter that was stuffed in a bone marrow.  Quite gimmicky and we wonder if they would reuse them later.  Think not.The snapper quite refreshing, good to be a starter before main course.  The pork rib and rib-eye came at the same time, took 30 mins waiting, a bit longer than expected.The pork rib was highly recommended by the staff but the meat were very chewy and salty.  When the staff came to our table and asked us how the food went, we reflected our comments.  He apologised and suggested to take away the pork rib.   He then asked us if we would like to make another order.   After studying the menu, we ordered the pea and parsley risotto.  For dessert, we shared the sticky Toffee Pudding.  It was very rich and nicely made.We have mix feeling in our first experience of this restaurant.  The slow cooked pork rib was a disappointment and the poor quality should not happen.  Yet, the staff made a swift recovery and nicely pampered the customers in an appropriate way.Price wise, it was reasonable price, around $500 per person.  Definitely, we will try again....Chateaubriand would be our first priority.晞月藍 HestonBlue continue reading

Gordon Ramsay開新餐廳喎,鋪天蓋地既宣傳,咁猛料,當然吸引左好多人早兩個星期前book都話full house打去問嗰陣,明明話可以walk-in排隊,但去到嗰陣又話無只可以係waiting list等人no show先得,話陣間無打電話就無得食咖啦6點3去到留左個電話啦,6點9左右就打嚟話有位,但8點半要還枱原本諗住7點入到去,都仲有個半鐘食,都ok lah個包唔錯嗌左枝champagne,然後就係到乾等佢話beef Wellington要等45分鐘,但其他嘢都要等極耐等到幻彩fing噹噹開始都未有得食即係8點半還枱,但8點都仲未比嘢我地食等左勁耐係咪想比Gordon Ramsay講粗口鬧但不得不感嘆香港既夜景真係好靚Grilled Diver Scallops ($158)如果大家有食過酒樓既西蘭花炒帶子,就會發現依舊嘢一入口同酒樓食嗰啲係無分別咖我以為會係一個燒到個面微脆,而且鮮甜爽口既帶子點知係西蘭花炒帶子既味,連個口感都係一樣,霉霉地咁,一啲鮮味都無面頭有啲青蘋果,酸到一個極致除左粒帶子大粒啲,擺得西式啲之外,諗唔到有咩原因要係依到食依粒”西蘭花炒帶子”Beef Wellington ($888)以為終於等到主角點知係繼續失望究竟係依舊嘢唔好食,定係原本依個菜式就係唔好食我都望唔透牛扒、酥皮同蘑菇蓉三樣嘢雖然擺埋一齊,但食落係好分開所以我唯有分返落3樣嘢嚟講牛扒,最失望係依塊牛扒無味既,不論係肉味定調味,都係無既加左個bearnaise,就淨係會食到個汁既味重點既牛扒竟然都唔好食,真係好傷心個酥皮都唔夠脆,可能沾到啲蘑菇蓉,仲淋淋地個蘑菇蓉,我唔食蘑菇既關係,所以都唔係好識欣賞個配菜薯蓉都真係一般般Seared Foie Gras ($88)一食落口,errrrrr.....個感覺我以為自己食緊美食展$30一舊嗰啲鵝肝多士既鵝肝........一啲都唔夠油,完全唔會入口即溶仲嗌左其他幾樣配菜:Cauliflower Cheese ($58)成餐唯一一樣好好食既嘢芝士啱啱好,唔會太重味或者太膩,加埋椰菜花French Fries ($48)唔知係咪同mcdonald同一個供應商呢唔係唔好食既,但無咩特別Caramelised Onion($18)成日見Gordon Ramsay啲片整caramelised onion整到好好食咁點知中晒伏完全唔夠甜,可以話一啲甜味都無食落去係仲係半生既洋蔥一啲都食唔出有caramelise過Whole Black Pepper Baby Chicken ($248)算係唔差,唔會話難食,但又唔係好食有啲似taste入味三四十蚊嗰啲烤雞既質素或者食食下kfc唔覺意扯開左塊皮,淨係得返個肉既話,嗰個肉就係依舊雞咁咖啦依個沙律真係不得了個麵包吸晒嗰啲汁,酸到呢如果唔覺意dum左個麵包落垃圾桶,又沾濕左,又要拎返上嚟食既話,應該就係依個包既味個麵包又濕又淋又凍又酸,食落就好似有陣酸縮味咁4個人埋單2000多啲依到望出去個景係真心靚,依個景如果配美食,都值既不過,今晚既嘢食,真係唔會再嚟食最後不得不提serve我地既侍應如果James Harden係用眼神防守,依個侍應就係用眼神去serve成晚都見佢眼神空洞咁望嚟望去,仲多過做嘢🤦🏻‍♂️依間餐廳真係食名氣,真係吸引到人去試一次而我相信就算點話唔好食,啲人都係會繼續去試😂如果你咁啱去食返我以上既嘢,而又覺得中左伏,千其唔好覺得詑異你食完再睇返依篇文,就會有共嗚,知道有人同你一樣中伏,個心會好過啲 continue reading

這是英國米芝蓮三星名廚地獄廚神Gordon Ramsay 開設的過江龍扒房。由他們開業開始booking, 足足等了一個月的時間,今晚終於等到。餐廳裝潢摩登時尚,走型格低調路缐,由於燈光昏暗,情調十足,加上無敵海景,感覺高雅又浪漫。maze grill 在倫敦曾獲米芝連一星,分別有三間分店,走的是比較親民的路線。然而今晚的experience 有好的也有不太恰意的體驗。餐點定價與medium range 的餐廳相約:appetizers $118-$218, salad$ 118-$138, main / grilled meat or fish $138-$588, vote de boeuf 1.5 kg $1588, desserts $68-$158. Grilled scallops $158Jalapeño,green apple, coriander 這帶子煮得真好!帶子煎得既香口又軟嫩,加上微辣辛香的忌廉汁,十分惹味可口,相當有水準。必點!Oyster 6 pieces $218這生蠔十分新鮮,而且蠔身肥美,有著淡淡的海水味,加上本身經已調味,味道唔錯。威靈頓牛扒$888Beef Wellington /Mash photo, pepper sauce 由於威靈頓牛扒工序繁多,所以在港供應的餐廳唔多。今晚有幸可以一嚐,也是訂座的目的。香脆嘅酥皮住嫩紅色嘅牛扒,當中還有芳香的磨茹茸。酥皮香脆酥香,牛油味濃厚,加埋濕潤的蘑茹、嫩滑的牛扒和燒汁,味道比一般的牛扒更有層次。難得牛扒烤得肉質軟嫩,充滿肉汁,雖然牛肉味唔太濃烈,但配上燒汁,恰到好處,真是難得的手工菜。Whole black pepper baby chicken $248這BB 雞烤得有水準!雞肉充滿炭火香氣,肉質嫩滑又juicy. 雞皮烤得脆香透薄,皮下也沒有多餘的脂肪,加上雞肉充滿黑椒味,格外香囗,就連雞胸也不鞋口,不錯。Hot smokes miso salmon $218這三文魚應該是經過慢煮處理再烤。三文魚外層微焦,魚肉猶如溏心般軟嫩透紅。魚肉有著濃香的味噌風味,甜甜地,當中又帶一點點辣道,惹味可口,加上魚脂豐盈又唔乾身,是健康又美味的主菜。French fries $48薯條剛剛炸起時,香脆可口,薯味十足。可是,待了一陣子,薯條變得腍身。要吃也真的要及時。Seasonal green $48吃了不少肉食,也要點一些蔬菜平衡一下。這蔬菜無乜特別,但用油唔多,感覺好green,而且保持了蔬菜的爽脆口感。Slow cooked apple served for 2 $158Baked apple pie, anglaze 這蘋果批製作需𣈴時廿分鐘,所以待應不停說不夠時間,因為他要我們交枱。幸好,我們堅持要點的情況下,下了單。嘩!蘋果批的份量可真大!足夠我們四人享用。蘋果批邊香酥脆香,蘋果饀料香甜軟腍,酸酸甜甜的,有著清新的蘋果果香,加埋忌廉汁,口感更豐盈。雖然味道不致驚為天人,但倒叫人滿足。黑朱古力忌廉卡配椰子雪芭$88Coconut & dark chocolate creamaux Sorbet, candied walnuts 這甜品用上valrhona 72% 黑朱古力製作,朱古力味極為濃郁醇厚,而且朱古力旦糕的密度甚高,每一口都朱古力味爆棚,忌廉口感 creamy 緊密幼滑。配上清爽的椰子雪芭,緩和一下甜膩的感覺,又可以繼續沉溺在朱古力忌廉海之中。由於慶祝生日的關係,餐廳特別送上旦糕。這朱古力旦糕好cute, 旦糕質地厚實,有濃濃的朱古力味,有點像chocolate mud cake. 不錯吧!四人晚餐埋單每人六百七,話貴唔貴,但也不平宜。然而侍應的態度就沒有預期的friendly. 由於他着力推介T bone兩次,我們不理會他,只是點了Wellington 牛扒。由於要楂車的關係,亦沒有點餐酒,所以他對我們的態度比較差勁,老是板著臉,而且多次催促我們的用餐時間,真不是味兒。但以餐點的味道而言,倒是不錯,一試無妨。 continue reading

由於另一半一直係地獄廚神Gordon Ramsay既Fans,佢會睇佢啲節目,本來早幾個月之前,大約5月已經一早打算訂「Bread Street Kitchen」(我預2星期前打去訂位)食佢想試好耐既Beef Wellington同佢慶祝生日,點知「Bread Street Kitchen」居然係10月既時候結業,真係好無奈!全部心機白費哂,之後先知原來會開另一間「Maze Grill」,景色仲好吸引,對住超大既維港景色,但又點知呢一間餐廳因為新開,訂座情況十分之厲害,打電話永遠冇人聽,後尾先知道原來係網上訂立,但係你早一個月前Book都Book唔到,我果時好擔心,因為真係好想帶佢黎食,特別係佢生日,於是就搏下直接walk in訂位,本身都冇乜期望,因為覺得呢啲餐廳應該都係要跟足規矩做野,點知,同另一半早左2星期黎一齊問下仲有冇得Book,居然有!!!雖然好冇驚喜地係另一半面前book位,仲要係佢面前要求寫生日快樂係甜品碟上面,但係佢生日正日訂到位真係好開心!餐廳環境位於海港城既4樓,位置比較隱蔽少少,但有大大個Gordon Ramsay迎接你餐廳燈光昏暗,同一般西餐廳一樣以燈光製造氣氛。景色真係冇得輸!對住個十分大既維港景色,好靚好浪漫。本身要求左住Window Seat,店員比左個唔係Window Seat既位我,於是我就問:「唔好意思,之前要求左想坐Window Seat。」點知店員回應:「我地全部都係Window Seat黎架喎!」我當下覺得好無奈,點會咁樣回應客人,之後見到有一張Window Seat空左,我要求住果張,店員:「咁你出去等等先啦!」噢,已經令我同另一半對呢間餐廳留下壞印象。餐牌係呢啲餐廳食一家係貴精不貴多,選擇唔算太多,不過我地都係為左Beef Wellington而黎,所以好快揀好。幫我地落單既外國店員目無表情,好似好唔耐煩咁,點解,店員都係咁……?之後,又發生左另一問題,由於係另一半生日,對住咁靚既海景,再加上會食Beef Wellington,就叫左半枝紅酒飲,今次係另一個外國店員招呼,佢斟酒既時候,居然斟到灑哂出黎,之後就好輕佻咁話「Oh, Sorry.」,呢間餐廳因為係出左名串嘴既地獄廚神Gordon Ramsay開,唔通特登要店員咁差對客人襯返Gordon Ramsay?咪玩啦!餐包用左一舊好似木頭造型既盛起牛油,牛油軟滑,但今晚未食正餐已經有第4個問題,店員問仲要唔要多份餐包,我地答左:「要。」點知係冇黎到,但張單有入我地要左2份麵包。噢,已經完全令我同另一半對呢間餐廳留下壞印象。Sliced Snapper $118配上Pork crackling(炸豬皮條),Coriander, Ponzu。叫呢一碟前菜係因為另一半睇網上報導話香港有限定菜式,但佢又唔記得左係邊樣,於是問店員,店員就話係呢款,所以叫左呢個(食完返去搵先知應該Traditional Ploughman’s Pork Pie先係……唔知店員係咪求其敷衍)。每塊切得厚身,新鮮,但比較清淡,配上少許醬油確係調出其鮮味。Beef Wellington $888我同另一半黎呢到就係為左食佢,冇得預先Order,有時會賣哂就冇,好彩今晚仲有。要等大約45分鐘,除左主角Beef Wellington,仲會配上Mash Potato同埋Peppercorn Sauce。真係十分期待,之前係其他餐廳食過一次真係好一般,黎Gordon Ramsay既餐廳,食佢既拿手菜式真係令我有好大期望,雖然唔係佢煮既,但做得佢餐廳既廚師們實力理應都係不容忽視,但係……果然令我好失望。用既係Filet牛排,牛排會先醃至煎,然後抹上芥末醬,之後最外層係酥皮,入面有Ham、磨茹碎裹住Filet牛排,這道菜最考功夫一定係用酥皮包住咁大件牛排,同埋掌握好烘烤時間。上枱見到好靚仔,每塊大小一樣,色澤粉嫰,但係,又係切開就成件散哂,磨茹sauce發揮唔到將酥皮同牛排黏住既作用(我其實都唔太肯定一切散開係正常定係唔正常),由於散得太開,要自己先放酥皮入口,再放牛排入口先食到完整既Beef Wellington,酥皮尚算夠脆身,但唔夠牛油香,只有脆度少了香口,磨茹sauce同牛排其實都係美味,磨茹sauce好惹味而且食完既味道久久留在齒頰之間,而牛排熟成度剛好,帶肉汁,但有啲似各有各既美味,食唔到完整Beef Wellington既口感同層次,加上賣$888,仲要係Gordon Ramsay餐廳下既名菜,我本身諗住食完我會「嘩」一聲然後好驚訝,但呢碟完全冇令我咁做。Slow cooked apple served for 2 $158其實因為我Remark左要寫字係甜品碟上面所以先點一個甜品,點知原來餐廳有提供另外一份小型for生日既甜品。揀左呢款係Baked apple pie,食完哂先叫都唔算等好耐,大約15分鐘左右,份量真係好大,而且入面既蘋果都係大大一件,唔係切到細細粒果種,外層脆口而且帶好重牛油香,內裡蘋果夠多,配上雪榚又唔會太甜,估唔到全晚最好食既係呢碟甜品……Birthday treat $0呢個就有驚喜到,因為睇單先知原來不收費,寫上左生日訊息再有一小件朱古力蛋糕加蠟燭,呢個服務係高級餐廳唔收費真係估唔到。埋單$1500左右點解會比差評,原因好簡易,餐廳職員態度真係十分之差,比咁既價錢得到咁既對待,再加上食物比期望中差好多,係咪打住Gordon Ramsay既名義就可以咁樣呢?要唔要黎幫襯,大家自己諗下。 continue reading
