I was recommended to try this shop famous milk tea. My friend tried it at least more than 5 years ago and he said it was good.There was limited space for manoeuvring by the workers as all the tables are stacked closed to one another. Not really a problem for us .We  arrived around 9.30am and some meals meant for 11am were not available . We ordered1. 猪仔包  (pork bun)2. 厚身Toast ( Thick skin toast)3. 猪扒包 (Pork chop bun)4. 餐蛋面5. Milk tea (hot and iced) The milk tea was definitely the worst we'd ever tasted. The taste is so light that even 3in 1 instant milk tea was better.  And the toast? I can't say it's of normal quality, coz I cannot understand how one could make such an awful toast!  I practically throw away the thick skin toast.  The only thing normal was perhaps the noodles.  All the workers including the 'boss' were extremely rude to us (including other customers). We shared a table with some singaporeans and one of them practically lost her patience and shouted back at the worker.  There were some Thai who were not familiar with the menu and the person taking the order was doing all the little acts to show his nuisance. Come'on, you should treat your customers with respect.If you are thinking to visit this shop, be prepared to 1. To be given bad treatment, (from ordering to being served and pay bill)2. To drink milk tea so bad that you cannot taste anywhere else.3. Served toast that are so hard and tasteless4. Cramped into tiny space with other peopleFrom being voted as one of the best in Central in 2008, after 8 years, no one could understand how this shop can reach such a horrifying state.Do not be deceived by the long queue. 見到好多人排隊,就排左一陣,總體唔系排左好耐,因為比較多人take out !要左薑蔥雞排撈丁,番茄豬扒通,加兩杯凍檸茶同凍奶茶,不過服務態度就真係唔系甘好!薑蔥雞扒撈丁,雞扒煎得好脆,對比起更加鐘意番茄豬扒通,因為比較好食而且又唔會太干~凍奶茶因為要整,所以比凍檸茶要耐,但凍奶茶仲系唔錯,幾好飲噶!仲要左花生醬多,不過不失甘,未至於好似d人講到有幾好食甘,但就唔差,總體都過得去,但態度真係唔系甘好~ continue reading

朋友台灣遠道而來,喜愛地道港食,選了網上聞名蘭芳園,實質名過其實,物非所值,只得虛名,可以不去。遊客吹捧不絕,過往的風光美食,不缺生意,店員無理,也似乎理所當然,哀哉香港美食天堂美名。心多多撈丁賣相求其,一般的撈丁,加三隻甩皮雞翼,既乾且嘿,已見食物質素真章。西多士不熱辣辣上枱。顯得油膩,遑論香脆。金牌豬扒包沒有追問台灣朋友時候感想。絲襪奶茶,不香不滑,略帶苦澀, 所謂馳名,吹太過分。 continue reading

I went there at 1:30pm and did not need to wait.  I ordered the pork chop macaroni in tomato and potato soup.  The pork chop was good.  It was juicy and tender.  The macaroni was not soggy which was good.  The soup was a bit on the sweet side.  Portion was quite small and it's served in a plastic disposable bowl.Overall, I thought the food was just alright and the place a bit dirty.It's become more a tourists' spot and majority of the customers are Mandarin or English-speaking.  The set came with a drink and the set cost $50 which was a bit overpriced.   continue reading
