呢間嘢成日都聽,但係都唔係有機會可以入到去食。 朋友專登帶我哋去試試菜, 我哋有兩個都係食肉嘅一位食齋嘅, 最容易考多間餐廳並不能夠平衡葷素都咁好味。朋友好鍾意食小碟,所以呢係叫咗好多唔同嘅小食畀佢哋試, 有啲用豆做嘅糕啦, 佢個薰蛋係最欣賞嘅。之後就到食肉啦, 佢個蒸龍躉球真係好正, 又新鮮又夠鮮味而且啖啖肉, 我好少食豆腐都食埋佢墊底嘅豆腐。 佢嘅炒蝦仁仲有加埋四粒用菠菜打成既蝦丸,正到爆。至於食齋嘅朋友間,餐廳竟然用人手將粒豆粒逐粒粒出嚟炒, 好食到不得了。 不過就嫌個小籠包冇汁,唔係咁開心。當然臨尾加返個高力豆沙同埋炸湯圓,就真係飽到上心口,真係好多謝呢位朋友請食飯。 continue reading

Dinner with the Shanghai clan in private room. I’ve always preferred the Club, but eager to give this another chance.First, a trio of appetizers: 醬蹄- made with pork. Not a fan of the salty taste.燻魚- quite crispy. Didn’t like the small bones inside. 素黃雀- which was in effect 腐皮素菜捲, tied in a knot. I liked 👍🏼黃金蝦球- ok. Prawns meaty. Could be a bit crispier outside.蔥油餅- could also be a bit crispier outside. Filling I liked tho.火朣雞燉翅- the broth tasted very meaty so the Chinese ham and chicken, but some said the broth at the Club was even meatier. 鴛鴦沙嘴魚- the deep fried bits went well with the mayonnaise (not oily like fish n chips), the fried bits were fresh. (Can’t imagine this as a traditional Shanghainese dish).年糕炒蟹- not a fan of crab. Tasted one piece of 年糕:explosion of flavors. So salty and sweet at the same time. Had to take some gulps of water. Others seemed to be enjoying the crab tho. My brother loved the Chinese peas that were mixed.豆瓣莧菜- my favorite dish of the nite. 莧菜 easy to chew, Chinese beans and garlic cloves 👍🏼鴛鴦小鍋貼- these 鍋貼 were smaller than the usual ones. Mixture of pork and vegetarian. I preferred the vegetarian- less oily. The outside was very crispy for both. I liked. 棗泥南瓜餅- the dessert I’ve been saving my stomach for. Apparently the restaurant’s signature. 棗泥 was perfect amount of sweetness, but I could only finish half.芝麻涼卷- reminded me of 香蕉糕. Yummy.In summary; sorry, despite the excellent service, all these flavors were too strong for me. I still prefer the Club. continue reading

今日一行四人在蘇浙滬同鄉會午膳,會員朋友點菜,先來了一籠小籠包,好多汁,好味。繼續上了素菜包,饀內很多菜,素食者必愛。 這是我第一次食的清炒上海雞毛菜,很爽很甜。來了碟淨牛筋,很惹味,牛筋不硬亦不靱。在這會所午膳,燻蛋是我們必選。這裡肴肉是我的摰愛,味道仍然是那麼香,溶在嘴裡,非常入味。最後一碟熱素黃雀,比較平凡。這頓飯很開心,既能聚舊又能品嘗佳餚。 continue reading

第一次到香港蘇浙滬同鄉會食飯,一所只招待會員的食肆,仲要係在獨立房間內,房內的隔音設備一流,一關門,大廳的聲音幾乎消失,只會在侍應開關門時才聽到外面的聲音。由於是朋友請食飯,拍板的都是朋友。他一早問定我地各人食唔食翅,因為要預訂。訂的是最貴的火瞳雞炖大排翅,翅的粗度被我們稱為「公仔麵」,夾起來好軟,金華火腿香飄散出來,魚翅吸曬濃濃的高湯,就算金華火腿和雞肉已成是「湯渣」,火腿的咸香油甘味繼續正到爆。醬汁方肉又是極之好味,朋友介紹好啱女士食,因為骨膠原重。還有蔥燒海參,啖啖海參肉,有種充斥口腔的幸福感。一道清炒蝦仁又係無得頂,平時我地會覺得大蝦先抵,可是這裏的蝦仁卻是細而鮮味的,朋友介紹這才是功夫。素菜包最值得介紹的不是裏面的餡,而是包的味道,正。另外點左個餐飯沒有的墨魚肉+豬肉(唔知咩名),又係十分惹味。至於松鼠桂魚、生煎包、鎮江餚肉、炸饅頭等等,個人覺得味道都是屬於上等味道。朋友請客,共8人晚餐,埋單大致是9千左右。 continue reading

在中環鬧市,一所只招待會員的食館,內有大廳,亦設有幾間獨立房間。上海滬菜,曾經品嚐過燻魚、烤麩、酸辣湯、嫩雞煨麵、毛豆炒蟹、松子魚,沙鍋醃篤鮮等菜式,每樣味道很不錯,尤其酸辣湯,材料符合湯量,不缺也不滿,試過很多間的酸辣湯,這間最好。最喜歡的嫩雞煨麵,簡而精,菜粒雞肉粒伴湯麵,不稀不稠。花雕醉雞,花雕酒味香郁,但雞偶爾也失手,有時嫩滑,有時卻過火,有點靭。朋友說,沙鍋醃篤鮮是上海傳統菜式,是一鍋麵筋鹹肉火腿塊小棠菜的清湯,很香甜。煎小黃魚,皮香鬆化,內肉嫩滑,很快被人煎皮拆骨,桌上只剩下一排魚頭梳子。要說黃鬆豆腐,一道很清新的菜,豆腐似一條長方塊的魚腐,配以白菓,翠肉瓜及火煺絲,清甜淡雅,跳出雞牛羊豬魚蟹蝦中的肉體。這裡食物水準很高,人均價錢約二百多塊,不過不能自出自入,很可借。 continue reading
