Came here on a Sunday and wow this place was really busy and full! There was a free flow brunch set at $398/person but there were like 12+ items on the menu and we thought it might be too much food for us, so we went for the a la carte menu instead to order what we really wanted (though we ordered too much anyway lol). Hands down the best dish was the Mie Gomak, i.e. wok-fried noodles with shredded chicken, andaliman spices, and coconut milk. It was so rich and fragrant and there was plenty of tender, fresh-tasting chicken and veggies in the mix to make the dish all the more delightful. The jumbo prawns was also quite impressive, as these were fresh and tasty and bouncy, and the mildly sweet & spicy sauce/seasoning elevated rather than drowned the natural sweetness of the flesh. The signature Gado Gado was delicious as well, with a variety of blanched vegetables sumptuously dressed in peanut dressing, and topped with free range egg and tempeh (a kind of fried tofu that is very good at soaking up sauces). Other things were also not bad, though I thought the beef rendang and the pork belly sate could be a little more tender and juicier, though both were nice in terms of flavour. We got really full finishing 90% of the savoury dishes we ordered but we still had to order a dessert to end the meal on a sweet note. Got the cashew chocolate pie & caramel ice cream, which definitely did not disappoint! The chocolate was rich and dense whereas the caramel ice cream was extremely smooth and creamy 😍 Love this place and will be sure to return! continue reading

continue reading

Came for dinner on Saturday in a big group of 20 people, the location is not a convenient spot but the entrance door n decoration is very chill n nice. Tried so many dishes, can’t recall everything. I like the suckling pig (smoking hot with crispy skin), we ordered like 4 dishes of this, all got cleared super quick lol; the grilled fish is well favored, meaty, boneless, not really a big fan of fish normally but this is goodFood here are pretty heavily seasoned n a bit too salty to my taste, especially the stir fry veggie. Desserts are very sweet but presentation is pretty good. continue reading
