今日醒起聽左好耐既九記牛腩,Lunch 行過去試下。以前聽講要排好耐隊,1點2 去到門口,基本上我一個人食可以直入。咁我就叫牛腩伊麵啦,最出名。個靚仔就問我加唔加油菜,咁一場黎到咪加囉,再問我飲唔飲野,咁天口咁氣,叫埋啦,心諗頂盡咪廿蚊杯。佢寫完單先知,埋單到成118, 咁呢d 係我自己冇問清楚,冇得怪人,只係寫出黎想大家留意下。凍檸茶都要廿八蚊杯 anyway 杯野飲係好似既,油菜都係果d, 冇特別。講下個牛腩伊麵,試下個湯,淡D, 伊麵都係普通伊麵,冇咩特別。但個牛腩唔係出面講咁誇張囉,係好普通粉麵鋪都有呢個質素,唔係話好差,但唔係好正咁囉,有部分腩碎肉添。仲記得以前個老世訪問果時話自己d 牛腩點好點好,唔係囉。 continue reading

想不到n年後會有再一次品嚐九記牛腩的機會, 對上一次是父親大人買給我們的坑腩部位, 那時除了感覺到父愛的偉大外, 也覺得外界對九記的批評有點苛刻, 因為肉質和味道實在不差. 在某個突然下着大雨的中環半山區中午, 要找一家一入就有位的餐廳, 想不到就只有這間和附近的炭家, 想在$100內完成午餐就只有九記. 入到去當然沒有特別的腩位, 於是點了咖喱牛腩粗麵, 咖喱汁和牛腩也是它出名的項目, 但一上枱, 就知道完全不是那一回事, 簡單而言就是這兩個項目比連鎖店還要差.先說牛腩, 你想知道甚麼叫乾瘦如柴, 這就是最好的例證, 咬到的是纖維而不是肉, 不知道如何處理才能弄得如此糟糕. 肉香沒有, 咖喱汁的味道也是流於表面. 至於咖喱汁, 質感稀薄, 比湯汁更稀, 香味和辣味也不合格, 比起街邊小食檔咖喱魚蛋的咖喱汁更差. 粗麵是唯一合格的, 麵身夠爽, 鹼水味不重, 但單憑這一點, 絕不足夠為其劣評平反呢!I am trying my best to find something for appreciating Kau Kee but it is one of the most difficult jobs in my foodie life. The texture beef brisket is rough like the sand paper and I don’t know I am eating nylon or meet. It is neither tasty nor delicious. The curry sauce is thin like water and not spicy at all. Other things can be appreciated is the texture of noodles but it is hardly to recommend this restaurant. continue reading

🍜上湯牛腩米線($60):清湯底有牛油脂香甜但又完全唔油膩,小編飲晒成碗都唔覺口渴。米粉新鮮,幼身粉身少量掛湯,同時保留到微微米香。牛腩份量合理,肉質未說得軟滑,需要慢慢咀嚼。對無牙朋友而言有一定難度。但勝在肉香十足,油脂醇厚。對於享受牛肉原味嘅嘅朋友可以一試~🥣金牌上湯($13):淨湯一碗,味道濃重,鹹鮮味更為強烈。小編自問重口味,但都覺得太鹹,鹹到要立即飲水。但少許上湯配以牛腩卻能提升肉嘅鮮香。😗整體而言:1. 待應服務態度比從前好太多,應該生意比從前真係差太遠~平日中午時分得一半枱有食客。2. 牛腩絕唔差,但相比從前高峯時嘅質素都仲差一段距離。從前啲牛腩真係一絕,香軟滑,味鮮濃。九記牛腩 (中環)地址:中環歌賦街21號地舖電話:28505967營業時間:星期一至六 12:30-22:30 continue reading

In pre-COVID times you had to go really early to get a seat for lunch at 九記. Now in these unfortunate times it’s easy to get a table, I hope the place is surviving. We headed down to 九記 after our first choice restaurant was full. I ordered beef brisket and hor fun. The bowl was well presented but quite small for for sixty odd dollars. For taste, the soup was flavoursome, the hor fun was fresh as for the brisket. The portion size was good however the meat was a on the tough side which was disappointing. I haven’t been here for a few years and after his visit I probably won’t as there are many better alternatives for the same or lower price. The brisket isn’t bad but not worth the money. I gave the staff high points as they were friendly and helpful continue reading
