我見到剛剛新鮮出爐的菠蘿包,令我蠢蠢欲動想食番個!
大大個菠蘿包,包身仍是暖暖地,外層一塊塊都是卜卜脆而甜美的,夾住跟菠蘿包差不多大的豬扒,已有調味,肉質鬆軟入味,配上新鮮生菜及新鮮蕃茄,真是無得彈!

一直喜歡到金華買菠蘿包和蛋撻食,覺得價廉物美,但就從未試過進內吃東西。今朝一早就去這裡食早餐,亦是最後的一次。要了沙爹牛肉米粉,配有腸仔火腿煎蛋,一杯熱好立克。沙爹牛肉唔夠沙爹味,牛肉唔鞋,但一堆痴住的。腸仔煎蛋凍的,唔係即煎出來,預先煎好晒,好像快餐店咁。杯熱飲尚可,夠味道,沒有溝淡的。原來這店的新鮮出爐麵包最好味,但早餐的水準就唔得了。

有日去太子聯合廣場行街,之後路經呢間,坊間出名嘅米芝蓮茶餐廳。咁啱有些口痕,二話不說就買些少野食。5蚊雞一個酥皮蛋撻 — 話平唔平,貴又唔係最貴(泰昌餅家賣$6)。餅皮: 咬第一啖,酥皮好鬆化帶些少脆口。食落唔會好油膩。 正餡料:蛋嘅部分都好滑; 但唔夠蛋香同埋唔夠甜。 唯一要彈嘅就係唔熱佢仲扮到啱啱出爐,仲喺個焗盤拎出嚟!

There are cha chan tengs and then there are those are just more popular than others.  Kam Wah Cafe is one of them. Always busy. Popping out those pineapple buns at break neck speed. I've walked by several times but had never tried it. Aghast at this revelation,  boyfriend dragged me inside.Located in Mong Kok, it actually has two shops located side by side. Located in Mong Kok, it actually has two shops located side by side. That's how popular it's become. We found a t able quickly and sat down in the super busy place. Menu is in Chinese only. There is no English. But what they are known for is pineapple bun, curry and chicken pie. Or at least that's what boyfriend told me.


Chicken Wings with Egg Tart ($34). Knowing that I don't like pineapple buns, I didn't order it. So I chose something off the afternoon tea menu. Surprisingly, this came as soon as I ordered. Later, I found out why. The chicken wings were all premade and stored in a heater with the egg tarts and pineapple buns. They were not made to order. The egg tart was pretty good. The custard was not too sweet but it was creamy enough. They used a puff pastry crust so it was super flakey. The chicken wings were lukewarm. A bit on the chewy side as they were overcooked, but the marinade they used was very flavorful.

The curry was very spicy. At least much too spicy for me. But it did have a strong coconut taste. The curry sauce was also thick. The beef was soft.

There was far too much pastry to filling. It seemed the whole thing  was pastry. The pastry itself wasn't too good. It tasted gummy. I did find some parts that were still raw.  Probably due to the fact that the pastry was so thick, it didn't cook through. For chicken pie, the filling didn't contain  a lot of chicken. It was mostly made up of Chinese sausage. It was also dry, probably due to the fact that  the pastry soaked it all up. I really couldn't even finish this.

The food was fairly average so I have no idea why it's so popular. Though the chicken wings were fairly decent but it would have been better if they were hot. Cramped setting with grumpy waiters. But what you would expect from a traditional cha chan teng. It's an interesting experience but not enough for me to return.

從外地返港渡假,這家茶餐廳離酒店近,又看到OpenRice很多好評所以去試一下,但覺得普普通通。我早上一開門6:30進去,伙記還在慢慢做準備,5分鐘後才叫了熱奶茶、菠蘿油、和蛋撻,但他們連奶茶和蛋撻都未準備好,要等2O分鐘。既然是茶餐廳奶茶是最重要,他們的奶茶味道還可以,但不夠熱。菠蘿包皮挺脆,但包不夠鬆軟,放的牛油太厚,溶化不了,蛋撻尚算不錯。整體來講有些失望,路過吃一下可以,但好像不值那麽多好評。

事緣係咁既,我同我朋友一行四人去旺角東 金華冰廳 食下午茶咁我叫左一個菠蘿油 $10+蛋撻$5朋友A嗌左西多$20朋友B 西多$20朋友C菠蘿油$10+麵餐$36咁個侍應落單時問C飲乜,我地問係咪跟麵餐送,佢話係,所以要左個熱奶茶。到埋單時,我地發覺無啦啦多左$17,同店員問清楚,原來係奶茶錢,佢話我地達唔到最低消費,所以要將個麵餐拆開計黎,$28(麵)同$17(奶茶)。但其實熱奶茶理應係跟茶餐送既,餐牌寫到明加我地問店員佢都話係送。但佢就收多我地錢,其中一名店員解釋緊時有另一個大約70歲既燥底店員就話收多我地錢既原因係因為每人最低消費$25,但呢個最低消費$25係無無餐牌寫明的。由於佢一黎態度惡劣,我地未反應得切,而又唔想阻人做生意就比左錢。但後來諗返佢餐牌係寫每人最低消費一杯野飲,而一杯熱奶茶係$17,即是每人最低消費係$17,並唔係燥底店員所講既$25。就算真係佢講既$25,我地本來既人均消費都已經係$25.25,所以金華折開杯奶茶錢黎計係極不合理。我地後來返多去一次問清楚,呢位燥底店員態度係極為惡劣,係咁叫我地shut up,又係咁話我地食左野落肚比返錢好fair,當朋友拎部手

咁個侍應落單時問C飲乜,我地問係咪跟麵餐送,佢話係,所以要左個熱奶茶。

我地後來返多去一次問清楚,呢位燥底店員態度係極為惡劣,係咁叫我地shut up,又係咁話我地食左野落肚比返錢好fair,當朋友拎部手機出黎計清楚,呢位燥底店員就話「你唔洗影相喇」,一)我地根本唔係想搞大件事,由頭到尾我地都無用部手機隊住佢地黎影,只係想搞清條數。由一開始我地態度都好好,係佢不斷覺得我地係食左野唔想比錢而瘋狂叫我地shut up 二)由頭到尾佢根本都無諗住聽我地講,亦無諗住解釋清楚點解收多我地錢,以「食左野落肚就要比返錢」為由打發我地走。最後叫我地搵消委會,同「唔想同你地班候生講野」然後唔出聲叫我地走。

我地對於呢位燥底店員態度固然生氣,但態度為其次,重點是此食店有欺騙食客之嫌,前後不一,最低消費任由店員亂up,打開門做生意,如此不誠實實在是香港之辱,不能縱容。

其實呢間店d伙記態度差, 已經唔係今日既事, 曾經試過新年去無位, d師奶比封利是d伙記, 就即係打尖安排位置!!! d位坐到迫一迫, 真係食完就會趕你走, 點解仲去食係因為佢d菠蘿包同奶茶仲好食。見好耐無食菠蘿包, 今日引起去食, 點知個包上檯已經唔多妥, 睇落已經濃濃地, 食左兩三口, 覺得真係好硬同凍的, d皮好厚同包既質地完全係好un, 我說同佢d伙記姐姐講, 佢就完全無反應, 聽左仲拎轉面。 我心諗會唔會係我個人要求高, 又再咬多兩口, 真係覺得唔掂, 於是又叫d伙記, 我話d菠蘿包好硬, 佢地每一個都當聽唔到, 於是我再大聲講, d菠蘿包點解咁硬, 有無得換, 終於有個好似話得下事既阿姐, 望一望我話, 如果硬就應該第一口出聲, 佢話無得換, 我話之前已經講過, 仲話馳名菠蘿包, 屁。。比錢果時我再投訴, 佢地d伙記同老闆都係無反應, 可能佢地生意唔憂做啩, 反正我以後都唔會再幫襯。

食完真係一肚火,個收銀呀嬸態度極差。收多我地錢返去同佢理論,佢淨係識叫我地shut up,話我地阻佢做生意,完全冇諗過要正視問題。佢話咁耐以來得我地係咁,但睇返網上食評都好多人評論過佢態度有問題。。。最後仲叫我地直接去消費者委員會到投訴,唔好晒佢時間。講真,真係唔係為左個少少錢同你爭執,但係唔岩既就真係要講,最後得到咁既回覆態度,真係十分失望。而且食物質素亦十分一般,即使係出名既菠蘿油食落都係凍既。下次一定唔會再幫襯。

講真,真係唔係為左個少少錢同你爭執,但係唔岩既就真係要講,最後得到咁既回覆態度,真係十分失望。
