Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

今日去到大圍做野.晚飯時候就在火車站附近搵嘢食,入到餐廳因役情而分得很開來座,我點了一個楊州炒飯,眼看炒飯餸菜很多,有蝦仁,火腿,雞蛋,义燒,生菜,十分豐富,食一口炒飯,飯炒得很爽身,粒粒分明,廚房師傅了得,飯沒有黐住,蝦仁爽口加上生菜脆身,口感層次十分豐富,再加上辣菜甫一齊食,不得了,,這個炒飯很出色,本人覺得好食過出邊大部份餐廳加上一柸凍O茶,正常味道,十分滿足,這間餐廳來過很多次,大圍這區來講有相當水準 continue reading

今日同事帶我去大圍搵食,問我喜唔喜歡食肉餅,我話ok架!就一齊去呢間食肉餅飯。坐低左一人叫左一個肉餅飯,來到是好大好厚的肉餅呢!肚餓的話岩曬,因為份量幾大又重口味,煎得幾香架,有點像漢堡扒的感覺,但稍為咸左少少同有點味精,整體不錯的,但不能常吃,因為真係幾heavy的,男士會岩d,飯餐加埋杯凍檸茶,價錢$69。 continue reading

繼上周點評元朗玻璃屋後,今次來到另一間主打亦是椒鹽豬扒飯的餐廳『大圍金城』。位於港鐵站周邊,但駕車要留意餐廳附近那幾條複雜的單程路 ,路邊可隨意泊車,抄牌自負也。金城門口有點暗淡,茶啡色玻璃,懸上白底脫漆招牌,相當陳舊低調。曾有瞬間疑惑應否內進,始終附近食肆繁多,門面也都較金城光亮吸引。最終,舌根戰勝大腦,推門內進。枱上餐牌單頁過膠。主角椒鹽豬扒飯排在餐牌左上角第一,但不吸引眼球,容易錯過。餐牌設計,很多人誤以為排名第一或首頁之菜式會最多客人挑選,實情剛剛相反,最多客人挑選反而是放在餐牌中間位置或內頁菜式,行內稱之為第一視點。金城如要將椒鹽豬扒飯發揚光大,最簡單做法是在餐牌加些推薦菜式大姆指,又或將推薦菜式置中加框突顯出來。若有預算,倒可重做平面設計、張貼訪問稿、又或做市場推廣。現感覺餐廳是靠街坊口碑維持生意,不求發達只求穩陣。裝潢十足像元朗玻璃屋,估計同是香港七八十年代經濟起飛之時啟業。相同之象徵意符,鋁質茶水檔、懷舊緊急逃生牌,絨紅仿皮卡座、深紅色階磚、牆上吊扇等等,再配以泛黃色燈光,香港味濃厚。餐廳男女耆者估計就是老闆,女的掌收銀、男的座著刨馬經。落單後,女侍應向著廚房大叫『招牌飯』。約略兩三分鐘椒鹽豬扒很快送上,估計已經預先大量制作。豬扒切件,煎成焦黃金色,面上灑一層切蔥碎蒜紅椒。再深入仔細一看,有一層黏性漿汁緊包扒身,細嚐一口漿汁味道略甜,應是蜂蜜糖漿。廚房應是收到落單,夾幾塊已煎香豬扒,加油快炒香料再加糖漿,灑在豬扒即成。低頭吸索味道,空氣中有著一股蔥蒜香味,也略帶微微甜意,美妙絕倫。絕非使用其他餐廳之粗硬煮法,這兒加入蜜糖簡直是神來之筆。味道香中帶辣,辣中帶甜,汁漿伴飯簡直一流。扒身肉質細緻,煎功時間掌握剛好,仍帶有肉汁。質地外則香脆,內則輕嚼即開,鬆軟嫩滑。製作前,師傅應有花時間加工材料打鬆扒身。總括而言,金城椒鹽豬扒飯確實做得不錯,賣點是煮法沾了一層軟柔柔之微甜糖漿,增強口感層次。但價格$70一個茶餐廳碟頭飯連飲品,是頗貴。若要再加炒底,更接近$100元了。美食無價。 continue reading

今次係我第4次黎食金城嘅早餐,每次都係特登為咗呢到嘅菜甫而黎!菜甫好香,辣到岩岩好,撈落去碗米粉到好惹味同愈食愈開胃!完全唔吝嗇咁每枱放一樽滿滿嘅菜甫,放多啲都唔驚!(每次同朋友兩個人食都會食咗大半樽,好誇張嘻嘻)愛吃菜甫嘅人類,你一定要食呢間!仲有得買一樽架!而佢本身嘅早餐其實已經幾好味!好抵食!$35呢個價好合理~PS 個餐飽好鬆軟架!金城係一間舊式嘅餐廳,格局裝修都有舊時嘅味道。呢到時不時有隻貓出現,好奇問老闆先知原來佢叫「鴛鴦」,好多熟客都會撩下佢玩架! continue reading

今日同女朋友行過決定試下金城茶餐廳嘅豬排同肉餅飯。老牌茶餐廳格局,幫襯嘅都係街坊。我見到佢個menu寫左豬扒稱王,內餅稱霸,寫都咁大,應該都對自己出品好有信心啦。我就係鐘意呢種串串地嘅風格。我地叫左一個肉餅飯同一個椒鹽豬排飯。佢個肉餅係煎出黎個種,好香口,裏面有加馬蹄所以有少少爽口。第一眼望到咁大舊都有點驚訝。呢種肉餅可以話係港式漢堡扒,絕對比得上鬼佬漢堡。其實佢地都有賣肉餅包,望到隔離枱有叫,份量十足,下午茶可以一試。豬扒方面,佢唔係煎到好乾身好辣個種,反而係有少少甜。好入味又唔會難咬。佢地仲有菜脯,重口味嘅朋友可以加,辣度十足。我叫左杯熱奶茶,老式茶餐廳,有水凖。一個飯五十六,仲要唔跟野飲。野飲唔記得係加九蚊定八蚊。佢對自己出品有信心,收貴少少都有佢理由嘅,食完都好滿意。經過大圍可以試下。完 continue reading
