The place is nice and cozy. Very relaxed environment and quite a balanced selection in the buffet. I took 2 non Indians and the spices were perfect for them. I being an Indian also loved it. The salads, snacks and main course was perfect. Only the dessert could be better. continue reading

The 2 of us haven't been here for a few years due to so many other options in town. As I had a sudden craving for spicy food so curry it is! Also, they are listed on Eatigo, the more reason to go.We ordered 2 starters, a chicken dish, curry prawn, roti and naan. Everything was as good as it was!Starters were warm and crispy, fresh out of the fryer! Lamb in the Samosa was quite flavorful, as the for spinach fritter, all you're eating is sauce and crispy batter (no complaints) The mains were a little spicy but I wish it had more heat! Curry was delish, I cleaned the bowl, chicken was ok…nothing amazing.Roti and Naan were fresh, LOVED it!Overall, food was great, service was good. Will not be another few years before I return! continue reading

sad to see that the restaurant was very empty during dinner service on a weekday. only 3 other tables while we were there. service was excellent and attentive.we ordered: Murgh tikka chaat, a salad of chicken tikka pieces tossed with onions, lettuce and cucumber. good portion and was tasty but unfortunately a bit salty.next up: spinach palak paneer and bhuna gosht (dry lamb masala) with naan and roti.Large portions. would have liked both dishes to be more spicy, the palak paneer didn't taste spicy at all. lamb was dry, although the menu stated that they would be succulent.although we were quite full at this point, at the recommendation of the waitress we finished off with a homemade kulfi, an Indian style ice cream. this was a large portion, best shared between 2 or more people. presentation was lovely, but the taste of condensed milk was slightly overpowering.overall a pleasant experience at jashan. food was average, didn't have a "wow" factor, but the service definitely made up for it. portions are large, and the amount we ordered would have been sufficient for 3 people. would come back again but will ask for more spice next time. continue reading

Southern lamb curry was very good favor, lamb was tender, both taste went well and was good to eat with naan. Mango lassie was okay in terms of texture and taste. I would expect to have a thicker yoghurt and more mango favor. Shrimps were fresh but the curry we picked was mild, which ended up feeling a bit blended favor. Maybe because it was a mild curry....The sweet naan is the must try, delicious when hot and even when it was a bit cold after a while. Servers were attentive. We would definitely come again to have the lamb and try other dishes. continue reading

I have eaten here MANY times but every time was for lunch buffet.  The only Indian restaurant that I know that has buffet every day.  They change the items often.  But every time it is delicious!Indian is my favorite food in the world, unfortunately there are no buffets in Shenzhen for Indian so whenever I come to HK I always eat here at least once.  Service is wonderful, they always let me sit so I can recharge my iPad.  Always making sure my ice water is filled.  Hope they stay in business forever! If you like Indian try it.  If you haven't tried Indian, then their affordable Indian buffet is a great time to try it! continue reading
