因為地理位置方便,預早訂定位一行6人於「八月居」用餐聚聚。已知「八月居」係美心集團系列,食物質素應該可保持水準。我們點了如下菜式+點心雀籠,大部分食物都好美味,亦看得出係八月系列,菜式較為精緻,所以對食物質素是正面的!奈何服務質素就強差人意,大部分侍應都是黑面的,越高級的服務人員,似乎越無禮。當中一個較高級的女侍應(或是主任or經理),從入座至落單,她都極度黑面。之後更大聲無禮指責我們,因其中一個朋友分派手信,當中有人即場淺嚐。她緊張禁止食客進食外帶食物,只需善意告知,我們一定配合。為何她那抓狂般大聲指責,令朋友尷尬非常,破壞氣氛。當然,無論她用什麼態度,我們都會即時配合,朋友亦會即時停食手信,但現在如此相待,完全沒有服務行業的基本態度!餐廳如果只是恃住自己位於尖沙咀心臟地帶的優越位置,完全莫視服務質素,更好的食物菜式都只是徒然,最終都只會換來四個字「只此一次」!

A friend is visiting town who is staying at TST and asked for Cantonese. Food was consistent with other higher-end Maxim Cantonese restaurant. although I'd say the Jellyfish was rather tasteless and they put too many soy sauce over the goose (similar to how they do it in the mainland). Portion and tea were decent.

The highlight, or really disappointment, was the staff's attitude. They speak Cantonese with an accent and couldn't really speak English, major flaw considering you're dining at one of the big restaurant group at the largest mall in Asia. They also had attitude when I asked for my American Express discount.

Would not recommend to go to this branch of Maxim. I've had better experience elsewhere.
