呢度的炸魚薯條係非常好食的,所以我第二次幫襯了,下午茶時間嚟到,位置唔多等咗一陣就得了,點個炸魚柳和薯條,個魚肉質厚實,但都好多汁,外層炸皮唔厚,口感食落覺得唔錯,薯條好大條,每一啖都好滿足,外脆裡嫩的,好想薯仔味,下次想食個陣再過來。

Needless to say, my meal was outstanding, so flavorful, clean, and fresh. Apparently, Matthew is there every day making sure everything is right and the quality of his food is unsurpassed! A fun casual stop, a nice sidewalk-cafe setting, great selection of beer, ciders, and wine, with a varied and scrumptious menu. I can’t wait to go back and try his savory pies!

PS. 佢係澳洲風嘅薯條, 比喺英國食嘅薯條脆身啲。好好食。
超級超級有薯味 - Fantastic.
一咬第一啖係驚為天人咁有薯仔味。唔知佢用咩薯仔,目測薯肉帶少少淺黃色, 同一般白肉薯有啲唔同.

輪到講魚. 因為lunch set無得揀魚,所以應該係平啲嘅Hoki (not Blue cod).
份量夠
Lunch set份量都好足, 有一塊大一塊細, 單點應該會更大份.
有魚味
Hoki濃魚味, 似麥當勞魚柳包塊魚嘅味. 麥記用嘅係pollock. 都係鱈魚cod嘅family. 魚肉都幾firm唔會好易散.
batter好
炸漿唔會過厚之餘, 仲緊貼魚柳唔會散. 我用手拎住舊大魚柳暴力地點醬暴力地咬都無散!!!證明火喉極好, 喺英國食嘅都唔一定得.

Overall, Hooked係一間做fish and chips做得非常正宗非常好嘅小店. 食材好 烹調手法更好, 老闆每日都坐鎮店內為客人即叫即煮, 唔驚質素唔穩定.
而且價錢抵, lunch set $65 有份量足嘅fish and chips, 一個醬(他他醬, 茄汁果啲), 一份snacks (chicken nuggets 麥樂雞/ potato fritters 炸薯餅 / 腸仔) 同枝裝汽水.


PS Hooked店面細, 只有可容納約兩人嘅立食位. Suggest買左行兩步去PMQ花園坐低慢慢嘆.
店都無餐具提供, 外賣係用白紙好raw咁包(好環保). 個人覺得fish and chips用手ok, 如果介意可以自備餐具.

Just ate at this place tonight. We were going to go to the place on Peel street called White Beard, but decided to give this place a try. In terms of Food quality-price-portion ratio- Excellent. We enjoyed the food, were full without the feeling of being ripped-off

Paua fritters are a traditional New Zealand dish made of minced black abalone (paua) coated in batter and fried.Tried it because I was curious.I couldn't quite find any minced abalone in the patty but it did have a fishy seaweed taste.Not quite what I was expecting but at least I have tried it without travelling to NZ.

The fish and chips were consistently good but seeing photos of the chips in different shades of colour, I requested my chips blonde.
I think I will ask for platinum blonde next time because I don't like chips too crispy.

The fish was good as expected and I had HOKI which was the cheapest and it has a texture like COD which is firm and flaky.

誤打誤撞找到 堅道 這間超小店:炸魚有三種,最平的$55,最貴的blue cod$75: 因為不夠現金,所以選了最便宜的 hoiki+ half scoop 薯條$15。等候時間不短,大概因為當時非繁忙時段,所有食物即叫即做!好可愛的包裝,將魚和薯條都用紙包起,這樣才不會將食物焗稔!先食薯條,很香脆的外層,裡面卻超軟,還帶回薯仔甜味。只下點鹽就夠好味!魚的份量其實亦很多!這份脆漿不過厚,而且食下去毫不油膩的確是給我很好的第一印象。魚厚身而且肉非常實在!魚味濃....正在驚訝之際,老闆開口:噢 我把你的魚換成 blue cod 了!天啊 老闆太好了!!!小店沒有座位,只有企位唷!所以還是建議外賣。一 定 會 回 頭 的 因 為 真 的 很 不 錯!
