雖然酒鬼嘅我咩都飲,但Cocktails真係首選又難以抗拒,款多又夠特色,呢間位於銅鑼灣耀華街嘅Hex Bar,真係幾正當日仲試咗好多款,又火又煙玩哂特技咁,出面好多酒吧嘅Cocktails都呃神騙鬼,,但呢間真心正又好飲呢杯飲落有少少辣新地幾得意果香幾重的一杯威士忌做主,但入口唔會過份搶喉加入蜜糖的香甜同檸薑的清新,再煲熱少少嚟飲,幾特別呢杯玩哂火去燒香草,邊飲邊聞到煙薰味花香味較濃的一杯,啖啖清新又夠哂怡人而呢杯都係用上燒香草再用機打入罩入面做成濃烈煙薰效果 continue reading

呢度同朋友成日上黎飲,成日比人以為我地係咪有股份,真係上得好密呢度因為佢閒日happy hour居然到10點前,食個飯我多數都9點鬆10點前一定走到,所以成日都會上黎chill番一杯~咁岩food hunt完相機跟左身,咁緊係幫佢地影番幾張相放ig呃like啦黑松露做cocktail呢個諗法我第一次試,鐘意黑松露既朋友可能會覺得唔夠strong,但我之後再試過點一次想話要勁小小松露味,成杯酒又搶哂味...而最好飲既我個人覺得係用seaweed做主題既呢一杯cocktail。佢獨特既味道同酒精有種化學作用,令到酒精有種好似回甘咁感覺,朋友試完呢個之後好鐘情呢一款cocktail。至於呢杯就偏菇既味道,試左朋友果杯一啖,我對呢隻味既接受程度覺得可以再strong。最後呢個就女人們最愛,我只係負責影相放ig無飲到,太吸睛啦 continue reading

Met up with a friend visiting Hong Kong and were looking for a nice bar with fancy cocktails to chill after dinner, spent 5 minutes on Google and decided to try this bar in the Zing. First got out of the lift at around 10:35PM there were several staff gathered right at the entrance and one of them greeted us and informed us there will be minimum spending on different tables  after 11pm, at that very moment the bar was not busy, so we were given options at one of the tiny cocktail round tables with limited access to a bench at hkd1,000 or we can use the one right next to the lift with no seating at hkd500, considering there are only 2 of us I asked if we could just sit at the bar for 1 or 2 drinks then leave, she said we have to return the seats at 11pm. We were given the impression that they are just not welcoming so just left and went for one on the same street. Maybe I will try next time but not when I have a visitor with me, that is not a kind of service in bars of Hong Kong that I would expect even for myself. continue reading

Hex Bar has been opened in one of the hottest hang out area in Causeway Bay, the Zing building. The bar is located on the 26/F, serving a wide selection of innovative cocktails, as well as other traditional hard liquor. The bar is just perfect for any elegant casual drinks or some fun group gatherings. Thai May ($128, HH$64) ALC 13 %Tom Yum ingredients including galangal, tamarind, lemon grass, spring onion, lime, chili, and fish sauce, after being sous vide in around 62 degree vodka. Tomato sauce is then mixed with the two-week infused Tom Yum vodka using the rolling method, making this cocktail extra smooth by increasing the friction between the drink and air. Finishing with a few drops of milk and rosemary for more aroma. Mango Sago ($128, HH$64) ALC 9—10%Inspired by the Traditional Chinese dessert, the Mango Sago was made with coconut milk, Malibu, rum, and some syrup. The mango sago was made with mango juice, lychee syrup, and banana liquor. Umeka ($128, HH$64) ALC 19—20%A plum wine cocktail that uses its own pick of fine green plums. After removing its pit and skin, it was then soaked in vodka for two weeks before being slow cooked for another two days. The taste was exceptionally refreshing with no bitterness at all. The sweetness was just right because we were told that the sweetness was only adjusted afterward by adding the adequate amount of housemade syrup! HEX ($128, HH$64)The signature cocktail from the bar, which means hexagon with the symbol inspired from bee nest. The cocktail is made of honey, flower, apple, and chrysanthemum. Bartender even added his childhood memory to this drink, the fluffy cotton candy. We were recommended that we can first take a bite of the cotton candy, then mix the cocktail into the cotton candy for maximum enjoyment. Tofu & Sesame ($98, Hh$49)Another concept drink inspired by Chinese culture. The idea comes from the traditional Chinese desserts, tofu dessert and sesame seed sweet soup. The combination of two dessert is absolutely beautiful, the tofu was made in cream texture, mixed with its own roasted sesame syrup. There is a slight aftertaste of coconut since a hint of jaxcoco water and malibu were added. continue reading
