After the Shanghainese dinner we decided to get a drink as our pre-desserts. We ordered:
珍珠奶茶+ 布丁(small, $13) – Best of the bunch. While it lacked tea aroma or flavor, the milk tea was still smooth and easy to drink. It wasn’t too sweet (we asked for less sweet) so it helped to quench the thirst. The tapioca balls (pearls) were slightly chewy and the pudding was velvety enough that it could slide right down into your throat.
芒果橙優多冰(L,$15) – Bad decision. Supposed to be a mango orange Yakult slushie, this concoction had no mango flavor and tasted like artificial orange drink you get at 7-11. No discernible Yakult flavor, which was what I was after. Disappointing!
金桔菊花寒天爽(L, $14) – Big mistake, HUGE! Tasted completely artificial, especially the chrysanthemum (菊花). We couldn’t stand the chemical taste. Only 3 sips and we had to throw it out….No more visit from the not-so-happy us.…Read More
