Chef Hanook Korean Restaurant combines Korean culinary techniques and culture with a Korean chef team and staffs. Actually, Korean has soup for three meals a day that inspire the owner of the Chef Hanook Korean Restaurant to serve over 10 delicious Korean soups which are no MSG and no preservatives. The signature soup is Busan dwaeji gukbap (Busan pork soup). Moreover, haejang-guk (potato rib soup) is the most popular in Hong Kong, besides it also is hangover soup in Korea. At the same time, you must try dolsot bibimbap (stone pot bibimbap) which is few layered with cheese and rice. There also serves over 10 flavors of fried and steamed dumplings all directly imported from Korea, recommended large mandu, ginseng chicken and beef galibi.

Two things I love: soup and dumplings. That is when I found Hanook. A restaurant that serves only soup and dumplings! As the weather was cooler, we decided to go there for dinner. The restaurant isn't very big and it does fill up quickly. Menu is in English, Korean and Chinese. They have several varieties of soup along with dumplings that can be either steamed or fried. They also have bibimbap but I wanted soup and dumplings.  We decided to share some steamed and fried dumplings along with a bowl of soup.The dumplings come in a set of five.  The dumplings come with a vinegar dipping sauce. This is the Fried King Crab Mandu ($78). Very crispy and not too oily despite being fried.The skin was thin and the filling was delicious. A mixture of pork with crab.I loved the Steamed Galbi Mandu ($78) a lot. The skin was super thin but held together well.It was stuffed with beef and very savory.I saw some people ordering one cute dumpling so we tried one. A wangmandu ($16) was one big dumpling served in a cute little steamer.This was the best. The skin was soft and thin. The filling was stuffed to the brim with a mixture of pork, chives and vermicelli. It was wonderfully seasoned as well.As there was a lot of soups to choose one, we decided to share a samgyetang ($148). The chicken was cooked so long, it fell apart so easily and you could literally eat the bone. It was that soft! The chicken was stuffed with glutinous rice so this was a serious meal. The soup had a heavy ginseng taste and sweetened with the chicken broth. There was also some red dates that sweetened it further. Portion size was definitely shareable between two people though I saw a number of solo dining people ordering only one soup and one dumpling.We also had a kimchi daikon.  Spicy and sour with a good bit of bite. A nice compliment to the soup.Left feeling warm and healthy. The food was delicious and comforting. Service was quick and food does come out quickly so even if there is a wait, you don't have to wait long. Definitely will be back. continue reading

假期前夕跟朋友去尖沙咀金巴利道搵食。好多人都應該知道呢條街有好多韓國餐廳,要揀一間餐廳食飯都幾傷腦筋😂😂行到金巴利道某個位嘅時候發現咗呢間「韓屋」,裡面已經坐滿人而且有條短短嘅人龍 (嗰個時候7pm都未夠呀😱)。反而左右隔離嘅店舖就冇咩人,跟朋友商量後決定試吓呢間餐廳。有別於其他韓國餐廳,呢間餐廳裝潢比較新潮,白色嘅牆身掛著藍色和粉紅色嘅霓虹文字加豬仔圖案,確實為餐廳增添咗啲少女味😂▫️雪濃湯 (HKD138) - 今次試咗呢款傳統滋補湯,牛骨味道濃同埋湯底顏色真係好清。除咗雪濃湯仲有其他湯底選擇,款色唔多,不過一定滿足到食辣或者唔食辣嘅你😝▫️餃子王 (HKD16 /隻) - 一隻蒸餃子真係幾大隻、餡料又夠多。每隻餃子王都用個細小蒸籠裝住,超得意。▫️蔘雞煎餃子王 (HKD78) - 一份有5隻份量,咬落口真係有人蔘味。人蔘雞湯就飲得多,有人蔘味嘅餃子真係幾特別。▫️原味石鍋芝士拌飯 (HKD108) - 有魷魚粒、蔬菜類跟冬菇做材料。當然唔少得有大量芝士隱藏喺啲米飯入面。一邊將啲米飯同芝士撈勻嘅時候不停咁冒煙同埋散發著芝士味😍😍跟飯嘅醬汁味道較淡,冇辣味。最正嘅係有飯焦同埋唔會痴住個鐵鍋呢。無可否認這間韓國餐廳食物種類方面比其他韓式店鋪少。不過寫得喺餐牌上都係韓國店主精心挑選嘅韓國住家菜式。店內所有菜式都標榜零味精、零防腐劑,食慣重口味嘅人可能會覺得呢間餐廳嘅菜式味道會淡咗啲。. continue reading

疫情關係不能去旅行, 有時都好掛住去韓國的日子, 自己好喜歡食韓國當地的菜式, 懷念在首爾到處覓食的日子。想念的時候, 會去尖沙咀食韓國菜, 特別喜歡這一間, 必吃韓國的湯品和拌飯。會有種錯覺去到了韓國當地呢。韓式煎餃子$68韓式煎餃子皮會薄薄的,內裡有些菜和肉碎的餡料,附上帶酸的餃子醬汁很開胃。牛排骨湯$138這裡的韓式湯品選擇多,每款都很吸引,這次就先嚐試牛排骨湯,第一口喝下去,好濃好好喝啊,然後就捨不得停下來,和朋友公平分配一人兩碗,當中的牛排骨及牛肉片可以吃到,已煲到肉夠腍,喝完還有點意猶未盡的感覺。醬炒牛肉石鍋芝士拌飯$128然後就是韓國必吃的石鍋拌飯,嘩,這個拌飯又好有韓國的在地味道,令我回憶返晒來,用料非常豐富又切得細緻,有牛肉、芽菜、菠菜、紅蘿蔔、紫菜等,芝士已混在飯裡,攪拌起來各種材料拼湊完美的味道。差點忘了加醬汁,少少甜酸辣的味道令拌飯味道更提升。現在在香港吃韓國菜,多了小店選擇,用心製作精選的韓菜料理,令我們可以回味韓國感覺。這裡座位不多而且很受歡迎,最好先訂位。 continue reading

今天朋友說帶我去一間特別的韓式餐廳吃飯,不是平常吃韓式炸雞的,是比較傳統的韓國食物。一點左去到餐廳門口,已經發現在排隊了,這說明這餐廳真的是很熱門,而且旁邊的都沒人在吃,只有他滿座!牛膝骨湯(138元)看了一圈,發現這個湯挺特別的樣子,就點了來試試了。一送到來,看到奶白色的湯,還聞到有牛骨的香味,這個他是下了大量的牛筋下去燉煮的,所以喝起來除了有淡淡的牛骨香,還會感受到湯的膠質,但喝起來又不會油膩,其中蔥花更為湯提供了香味,整個感覺不錯!而那些牛筋都被燉得非常嫩滑,入口即化的樣子!送的配菜是辣蘿蔔,酸酸辣辣的,挺爽口多汁!炒豬肉石鍋芝士拌飯(128元)石鍋拌飯都差不多是韓國菜的定番了,那當然是要點來試試!石鍋的材料有很多,分別有豆卜,紅蘿蔔,菜,芽菜,茹和瓜,當然還有最重要的豬肉,然後他們下面的是芝士,吃前要先拌勻,因為石鍋還在不斷的為飯加熱,所以要不斷地拌,以免被烤焦了。因為加了芝士的關係,拌勻以後的飯,全部都被芝士包裹著,整碗飯就是拉絲的感覺,非常誘人,吃起來飯會帶有無香,又有淡淡的芝士香味,非常惹味,不同的材料又為飯增添了不同的口感!其實他還有辣醬提供的,朋友怕辣,所以就沒有下去一起拌勻了!非常推薦這個芝士拌飯!餃子王(16元/隻)這裡很好的提供1隻的選擇,這樣不會因為叫1份可能會太多而不叫!這個餃子王的肉餡是韭菜豬肉,韭菜味很濃,豬肉也很多,肉香十足,而且整個也挺大個的,不可能一口一個了!韓國紅米飯(15元)這個是拿來配牛膝骨湯的,沒吃過其他的韓國紅米飯,但這裡的我覺得比較硬,可能是店家專門拿來配湯的,以免被湯泡軟了!韓國蜜桃梳打(27元)蜜桃味挺濃的,氣泡也挺多,甜度不算太甜! continue reading

於DonkiDonki的金巴利道轉入去,步行到較偏僻的小街便有很多黃店,路程只需五分鐘左右,勝在環境清幽多小店。這家韓式小店比較受歡迎,到離座近四點也是滿座狀態,可想而知質素有一定保證的。說起來就慚愧,曾到過韓國遊十天,但很多地道食物也沒有吃到,只好在香港試試。雪濃湯 - $138非常地道且出名的菜式,以大量牛骨經長時間慢熬,變成醇濃雪白湯頭,有點像日本拉麵湯頭一樣濃膩厚重,但其實不會,滋味甘醇香甜,非常順口好入喉。有頗大量的薄牛肉片,帶筋吃起來軟嫩不老柴。醬炒牛肉石鍋芝士拌飯 - $128使用的米飯較特別,是用韓式紅米飯,有養生之用,米飯很快被熱騰騰的石鍋弄成飯焦,焦香之餘又有脆感。韓式必備顏色豐富的配料,有翠肉瓜、紅蘿蔔絲、芽菜及菇絲這些較清甜的蔬菜類,以及不少得的紫菜,加上芝士黏附力,拌起來口感豐富,也有不少的薄牛肉片。韓式辣醬另上,自行控制辣度。餃子王 & 泡菜餃子王 - $16/1每粒以迷你蒸籠裝住,嬌滴滴非常可愛。裡面是韭菜豬肉餡,韭菜獨有的味道較濃烈,豬肉頗新鮮有肉汁,餃子皮充滿韌性,混入泡菜帶點辣更加惹味。韓國甜米水 - $25韓國傳統飲品八道甜米水,味道清甜,底部有渣,頗特別。 continue reading
