咖哩教人驚喜@GURU中環蘇豪伊利近街13號地下星期五放工,先在IFC 飲了一轉肚子有點餓就去了SOHO附近找吃的亂來亂撞隨便入了間店子就是GURU了樓底很高, 還放了充滿印度風格的畫ORDER了餐後第一上的開胃小食好像是免費送的, 脆身的餅上有少量青紅椒及洋蔥碎餅帶點PEPPER 的香味,配上薄荷乳酪醬一絕,天衣無繨Guru mixed tandoori platter ASSORTED 併盤有蝦, 雞肉, 羊肉同魚肉,每一款都被香料染得橙紅得一隻蝦被我搶去了,哈哈, 筆直的蝦肉質紮實大量香料綻放而不霸道, 仍嚐到蝦味魚本身味道被印度香料蓋掉了魚味除了靠肉質分辦及香到中間的白肉, 否則不知道自已在食什麼雞啖啖肉又點辛辣, 想每樣都下一試叫這併盤是明智之舉NAAN 集了數款包, 最面的是加有芝士的所以油香及有煙韌最底的是沒加任何東西的NAAN用來配搭咖哩雞的佳選咖哩雞的汁竟有少少點甜要提的是這裡的咖哩易入口, OVERALL都不是太辣叫了酒飲, 紅酒加上蘋果及橙粒, 甜甜的像果汁我都飲了一杯沒醉~好喝我本身不喝酒, 是我的入門飲品離開時都接近十一時了,用餐時間過後,店子搖身一變變成喝酒加吸食水煙的地方本以為這只是靠賣酒及水煙來賺錢的店食物應該不會太好味, 但一人百來元價錢質素不錯, 是驚喜之選 continue reading

是晚想食辣野,行過好耐冇黎既 Guru,就心血來潮...未上食物,先黎 complimentary 小食 papadums:好香胡椒味,微辣既傳統印度餐廳既小食,脆口,上面仲有洋蔥同蕃茄粒,唔錯!另外,男友想要印式 pickles(即係醃菜),免費追加既係青芒果醃菜,又鹹又酸,唔係所有人口味頭盤係 kur kur baigan,即係炸茄子:香酥惹味,個醬汁少少辣,有少少似食尼泊爾既 momo 點個隻醬,好味!!主菜:Guru mixed tandoori platter:好似鐵板咁,侍應係客面前灑檸檬汁;沙一聲,幾過隱味道好唔錯,特別係雞肉,又入味又嫩滑;個羊肉都有羊酥味,好香,可惜有少少韌... 其他肉類都唔錯,不過唔突出Manchurian vegetables:之前未試過,點知一試之下感覺係:中伏!首先,個賣相真係唔討好,成 pet 野咁;一食落就覺得好鹹,完全食唔出除左鹹之外既味;同埋 D 菜感覺上係將 D 賣唔曬既野搓埋一舊尖粉炸,再落汁煮;菜熟既程度可以話係投胎輪迴左幾次... 勉強食左一粒 "菜丸子" 已經將佢放一邊...Lamb vindaloo:正!又夠辣,羊肉亦嫩滑,好好送飯/ naan bread!!不過唔食得辣就千萬唔好叫!!!Guru naan basket:本來話有 garlic 同 cheese naan,但兩者既數量都係 plain naan 既三份一,有少少受騙感,不過都算新鮮,幾好! continue reading

[這是我第二次到Guru。第一次選Guru,是Soho越來越多人,走到街尾轉角發現這寧靜優雅小店,雖然想吃西餐,我也不抗拒印度食品,就一試。上次是Set Lunch,有Salad、main course及white wine,但日光日白飲白酒非我的習慣。所以今次叫 A La Carte Menu.IMG:5]我和Honey常到阿士里道Greylord,從味道而言,Guru沒Greylord好味,可能遷和Soho西式口味,故此,對常吃印度菜那樣香料重而味濃的人而言,Guru口味稍淡。但論環境,Guru舒服,是週末Soho區內可慢慢用餐、悠閒聊天的不錯選擇。 continue reading

For a causal dinner I chose Guru for some Indian food. I really like Indian food, though I enjoy it more in Autumn/Winter weathers as chilli and hot weather doesn't go so together well for me... Although there are quite a number of Indian restaurants, I wanted to try Guru for their slightly more modernised menu...it just stood slightly above the other places like Tandoor, Ganga Din, and Bombay Dreams, although the latter has recently relocated with a new menu....which calls for a worthy visit some time in the near future!"sizzling jeera prawn" ($118)tiger prawns marinated with cumin, ginger, yogurt and paprikaThis arrived sizzling hot on the heated metal plate. Underneath the prawns were some bell pepper and tomatoes that had been sauteéd, and was coated in the same sauce as the prawns. Although this dish was relatively spicy I appreciated the heat and with the help of some naan and icy water I finished it easily. The seasoning was spot on and I couldn't complain... "kadai paneer" ($68) Sauteéd cottage cheese with bell peppers, garlic, chilli and tomatoesThis gravy was awesome, so light and balanced with sour and heat.... a very good vegetarian option indeed."naan" ($25)Plain leavened bread, arrived warm with crispy base and fluffy top, how I like it. 星期五的晚上,和朋友到SOHO飲.到晚上八時多,商量到何處食飯,朋友說她的手機有一短訊說在SOHO有一印度餐廳新開,天氣太悶熱,吃一點香辣食品也好,便決定到GURU.到餐廳的門前一看,完全不象一些傳統的印度餐廳,像一些簡約的餐廳,心想會不會是一些不三不四的騙人地方,這時餐廳的經裡出來招待說他門全是印度來的廚師,放心進來一試.隨後介紹了一些食品給我們並送上印式脆薄餅給我們,:Kur Kur Baigan 香脆炸茄子 新鮮炸茄子片,用上薄薄而帶少量香料的炸漿,香脆而不油!Lamb Rack Tandoori 天多里燒羊架 完全是式的擺設,三件半熟的羊架放在香辣的炒薯粒上,而一些清新的沙律放在一旁,配上一小碟帶有鮮果味的汁,很好食!!Bhaji Okra 香料燴毛茄(淑女手指) 用少許香料燴煮新鮮的毛茄!Berry Lamb Pullan 羊肉燴印度飯 滑的羊肉,爽的印度米和新鮮的藍莓,好味而不油,一流呀!!!這餐廳的菜式,不會用大量的香料和人造色素,清新而吃到材料的味道,值得一讚! continue reading
