This was just a casual lunch with the family and we thought we’d try this Glass House as they have an out door area. (I had been to the one in IFC a few months back, and wasn’t too impressed)After sitting down outside for 10min, we realised we made a mistake requesting for an out door table as it was a bit cold and windy. Although it was a nice sunny day, the sitting area felt like a trapped wind tunnel. People at the tables around us obviously felt the same as they all requested to switch to
After sitting down outside for 10min, we realised we made a mistake requesting for an out door table as it was a bit cold and windy. Although it was a nice sunny day, the sitting area felt like a trapped wind tunnel. People at the tables around us obviously felt the same as they all requested to switch to tables indoor. A couple of tables also complaint about water dripping onto their tables!
When I eventually got the waitress’ attention, she simply said all tables inside were reserved, without checking. One min later, the two tables next to me (who were rightly complaining about the dripping) managed to change tables. So I spoke to the same waitress again, but this time she said straight away “we can change your table”
I believe the issue is the restaurant was very short staffed because there were tables inside, but they probably didn’t want to open up this section.
The food itself was just about ok - I’d say 3 out of 5. The main issue was the food was luke warm it arrived.
All in all, the experience was disappointing and I wouldn’t be rushing to come back (or any other branch).
