晚上來到,黑漆漆的街道中找黑色的門,仲要無打燈的店名,真花了一些時間才找到。侍應是外國人,說萫英文介紹日本菜,這種感覺都幾特別。Crispy Caramel Butter Corn,焦糖中帶有牛油香,再加上粟米本身的清甜味,相當惹味的小食。Drunken Clams ,醬汁酸酸甜甜,半開蜆肉新鮮,開胃前菜Yakiniku beef UDON,一上枱似大板燒的外貌,其實是牛肉炒烏冬,味道一般。Wagyu steak,符合和牛的軟淋度,但肉味就普通。Market fish tartare,如所言應是當天收到的新鮮魚做的剌身,的確新鮮無腥味。配埋柚子肉和青瓜,又鮮又爽。Sushi taco,炸脆的麵粉皮夾住大堆頭刺身什魚,三文魚子和壽司飯,好似脆餅壽司。Grilled scallops,上枱後侍應即場煑住,個汁creamy,帶子的味道滲入汁中,便更夾雜著鮮味。帶子厚肉鮮。Soft shell crab,擺碟很生動,軟殻蟹炸得鬆軟,蘸上蛋汁醬油吃令滑度增加。Monaka Ice cream sandwich,薄脆餅夾住雪糕,類似海苔造出來的雪糕配以士多啤梨醬,脆卜卜又甜甜的,唔腻。  continue reading

Fukuro has always been a popular Japanese restaurant in Central. Not taking reservations, there is always a queue outside the gem. Thanks to Black Series - Black Sheep Restaurant Week, I was lucky to try out Fukuro at a relatively more affordable price!The feast began with this dish of Spinach Ohitashi. It was so much fun to smash the shoots and mix them with the sesame sauce as suggested. The spinach was sliced into thin shreds, which looked more like spring onion. The sesame and sesame sauce made great seasonings for the vegetables.The Platter of Market Fish was very fresh and enjoyable. A relatively ordinary dish among all.These Crispy Caramel Butter Corns are Fukuro’s signature, and I realized why after the first bite. It’s simply good and addictive! The corns were nicely grilled, which made them delightfully crunchy. Best part about the corn was the seasoning, the caramel and butter - a sweet and savory combination - was superb for the corns. We couldn’t help but keep going for the corns!This Beef Tartare was definitely not your ordinary beef tartare. The egg yolk added extra taste and texture to the tartare. Also, there were mustard and diced cucumber mixed with the tartare, which made the tartare very refreshing and delightful. It was also very delicious to have it on the pieces of crispy fish skin.We were so surprised that when this Hamachi Collar was served, the waitress skillfully removed all the bones for us. Definitely a great service for lazy bugs like us! The hamachi was quite fresh and yummy.We were rather full and satisfied when this last main course was served. This plate of Yaki Udon was superb with the crab meat on top, as well as the seafood sauce to mix the al dente udon with. Everything was just so right to the point.This fantastic feast ended with another Fukuro’s signature - Monaka Ice Cream Sandwich. The waffle wrapping the ice cream was so crunchy and delicious, and the tea flavored (?) ice cream inside was so so tasty! Definitely live up to its fame on social media! continue reading

Fukuro剛開業的時候來吃過一次,後面每次都要排隊,我覺得它的味道不錯,但還沒到需要排隊來吃的程度,因此再沒有來過。直到最近因為疫情,中環大部分餐廳都少了很多人,週五晚上walkin也有位置。先說總體,和上一次的印象差不多,每道菜味道都在線,但是出眾的菜並不多,yaki udon算一個,平時順道來吃吃不錯,但是要排隊的話,還是不用了。-———————drunken clams with plum, sake, and shichimi蜆肉加入了梅子、清酒、七位粉調味,味道不錯,但是調料的味道過重,完全覆蓋住蜆肉自己的味道。Kingfish with ponzu sauce 魚生搭配番茄和橘子汁,醬汁味道爽口,喜歡,肉質普通。Prawn tempura with spicy mayonnaise ,上次來也點了炸蝦天婦羅,和之前的感想一樣,面衣比較厚,尤其是頭一天剛吃了一寶,對比更加明顯,但是辣美奶滋醬搭配的很不錯。Sushi taco,第一次點,taco皮很脆,但還是有點油膩厚重,可以做的再薄一點,整體味道不錯。Yaki udon with snow crab and crab miso butter,第一次點就很喜歡,牛油味增蟹膏醬汁量很足,味道濃郁,搭配雪場蟹肉,每一口都很滿足,這道最愛。Monaka ice cream sandwich ,冰淇淋三明治本身味道非常好吃,但是搭配的梅果醬太甜膩了,破壞了整體的口感。Edo miso popsicle  with mochi and green tea crumble,之前吃多了mochi包裹冰淇淋,第一次吃冰淇淋裡面包裹一條mochi,感覺很有趣。   continue reading

喱間居酒屋6點準時有條小隊等緊,因為冇得訂位。環境昏暗,幾靜,唔錯。但啲二人位唔太好坐,位太細。啲野食都冇咁驚艷話好好食,有啲似家常菜咁,性價比唔太值。而且佢最出名同好食嘅,唔知點解會冇左,好似個和牛三文治、味噌雪條、蟹肉烏冬,非常失望。Monaka Ice cream sandwich有奶茶味嘅雪糕起入面,仲有啲菲醬,配外面層餅,係幾有層次嘅。Crispy caramel butter corn外面脆,入面爽甜,牛油同粟米係冇得輸嘅。Drunken clams一望好似工廠污染海洋,捕上黎嘅蛤🤣🤣🤣。唔太覺佢個蛤配個似薄荷汁嘅野好食。就咁食更好。Slow cooked pork belly個肥肉八成,瘦肉兩成。落口肥入唔算太落口即化,但個肉非常尋軟。個肥肉食多幾舊都係會有啲唔想食。Grilled scallop w/ oyster butter下面有火燒個殼,咁就會keep住煮個帶子同啲菇,係幾吸引人嘅。食落帶子幾嫩,配埋個汁少少辣。Beef udon食第一啖就覺好似有啲鹹,之後愈食愈覺鹹左啲。佢加個紅薑同個麵唔夾,麻麻。 continue reading
