I found a review here that says this is expensive.  That didn't seem to be the case.   Each piece came with more food inside than a small order at most other pieces.  Also, I found that they adjusted the price to fit how many pieces that you wanted to order.   I also did not have an MSG headache.  This seems like a good deal.

With no MSG headache I could eat here more than once a week.
Other Info. : They supply table napkins and will replace it for you with another on request. We found this to be a rare luxury in Hong Kong. No MSG taste. Have to wait for dim sum to be steamed or cooked as it is made from scratch. Good mobile reception inside!

basically if you see korean tourists in happy valley, you can safely assume they are there for this restauranti live in happy valley, been to this place many times. its a place that i quite like to go when it was a bull market. but unfortunately it hasnt been too bull lately, hence i am starting to agree some of the comments that it is a bit priceybut nevertheless, compared to other fancy expensive michelin star dum cha place, this still offers good value

i live in happy valley, been to this place many times. its a place that i quite like to go when it was a bull market. but unfortunately it hasnt been too bull lately, hence i am starting to agree some of the comments that it is a bit pricey

The decor of the restaurant was quite traditional and local, and gave a lovely atmosphere to the place, and it looked quite clean.  

We were very hungry, so ordered some... 
panfried dumplings (wo teep): crispier and more fried than I prefer but still had a tasty pork filling,
pork soup balls: quite hot, but delicious and a nice balance of soup and pork and the outside was soft
dau mui (with garlic soy sauce): nice and soft, even better with the soy sauce
shrimp dumpling: the taste of shrimp was qutie strong but the texture was nice.
We were also served jasmine tea which was a bit bitter but nice and hot.

The price for 2 of us (for 6 dishes and jasmine tea) was $317, and I think that this meal was great. This dim sum restaurant is quite cheap (around $48 or so per dish) compared to some of the other ones in HK, and overall the meal was delicious. It's location is also great as it's so easy to get to. I will definitely be coming back to this place in the future to deal with my chinese food cravings!

星期日下午,本來想去街巿的昌記,誰料休息。於是經過譽滿坊,知道他們有點心,便試一試。地方細細的,有正斗的影子。點心中選擇都幾豐富可比美酒樓。我們點了鮮竹卷,顏色比一般黑,味道沒有特別。水晶玉素粉果,味道比較淡,夠新鮮唔錯。叉燒包,ok。菜肉雲吞,菜不夠肉不香,差!最好味是鮑魚雞粒酥,酥皮香脆又軟,食時有層次感。整體覺得一般。價錢是五星級比利苑還貴。服務又差。失望!

Could not get into Pang's Kitchen tonight and was lucky of getting seats here at Dim Sum.Still a great place with great ambience and setting - all traditional Chinese or old Shanghainese furniture/style. Could not get into Pang's Kitchen tonight and was lucky of getting seats here at Dim Sum.

Still a great place with great ambience and setting - all traditional Chinese or old Shanghainese furniture/style.

Ordered our favorite dim sums including
Vegi and minced pork dumplings
chicken feet,
bamboo and mince pork roll,
boiled Choi Sum - vegetible (quite expensive, charging HKD55 a small plate)
Pak Choi steamed dumplings, and
stir-fried noodle with assorted vegitables - very crispy and creamy


All great - no disappointment for the dim sum quality.
It came with the price, this meal charged us HKD385 for 2.

After waiting until 12:00pm and with many people eventually waiting...they started giving all the seats to the foreigners. We asked them if any seats for 2, they said "sorry not for you guys, you should have said for 3". 兩個多小時下來, 我們總共吃了五款食品, 分別是:竹笙海皇龍蝦餃, 香焗鮑魚雞粒酥, 古法飄香荷葉飯, 懷舊欖仁馬拉糕 和 秘製京式蒽油餅。要數自己最喜歡吃的, 當然是鮑魚雞粒酥了。它香軟鬆脆的酥皮, 以及黏稠度和鹹味恰到好處的內餡, 讓人一試難忘。 再來當然少不了我最喜歡的懷舊馬拉糕了。這兒的馬拉糕沿用傳統的做法, 做出來的馬拉糕香軟鬆身, 配上欖仁更見香口。不得不提譽滿坊的竹笙海皇龍蝦餃, 甫上桌即吸引了我們的注意。它的西士之大, 讓我們驚喜得「咋舌」。吃下去滿享受的, 但感覺食味更像普通海蝦, 不過這款點心是滿抵吃的。

不知怎地, 最近發現我們上酒樓的時候, 也會點荷葉飯吃。相比起最近在粵翠軒吃過的, 我們覺得譽滿坊更勝一籌。其實兩者食材分別不大, 也是糯米, 蝦, 冬菇, 瑤柱, 蛋等, 不過譽滿坊的荷葉飯炒起來較香口。

這頓午食我們唯一吃剩了這道秘製京式蒽油餅。都怪我們沒有弄清楚, 也沒有認清到底我們喜歡吃的是京式還是甚麼的。結果上桌的時候, 我們才知道不是我們以為的薄餅式葱油餅。其實並不是這兒的不好吃, 只是我們有感太熱氣了, 為免痱滋叢生, 遂快定「量力而為」而已。

總的來說, 譽滿坊的食物也在水準之上, 服務也算很周到, 只是在這種地段, 收取高昂費用也是無可避免的事。飯後我們已有共識:「譽滿坊絕對可以和值得安哥」。

後記:想不到當天坐在我們隔鄰的是王敏德先生, 他的真人如上鏡一般英俊, 只是現在比較心廣體胖而已。SURPRISE!

Wait staff were unhurried and the service was quick, and the celebrated tit bits tasted oh so much better without having to deflect the glares of impatient dim-summers hovering for a table. The fried meat and pepper dumplings continued to deliver, and the sago pudding for dessert was a revelation, despite late calls for a switch to the mango version. In all, a victory for Dim Sum, not to mention one for quiet Friday nights and early Saturday risers...

It got quite chaotic actually. Interesting sight but then it got to a point when they started frowning at you when you called for them.....

The 灌湯餃 was good. Other dim sum was only very average. Not worth the price we were paying for (their dim sum averages $30-50 per dish). Also, the food took sooooo long to arrive. I understand that dim sum were all made to order, but I guess they could improve their efficiency a bit (as I mentioned, it was chaotic).
Most customers were either tourists or expats alike. They are certainly doing good business as it was full even at 3pm on a Saturday. But given the price it charges, the food and service just don't live up to expectations. Tourists might like their decor but if I just want a decent place with good dim sum, I can find many other places with much better food at half the price.

乖仔有點咳, 帶他到醫院去, 一進醫院門便看到熟人向我招手, 是兒子同級同學的媽媽, 她指示一下對面的沙發, 是另外兩名同級同學的媽媽, 他們的仔女都發高熱……他們已診治過, 正在等候流感測試報告.乖仔只有少少咳,沒有不正常體溫, 醫生也要他做流感測試……家裡沒糖吃的乖仔為了可以吃一粒糖而忍著痛和淚做了鼻腔採本測試. 乖仔有點咳, 帶他到醫院去, 一進醫院門便看到熟人向我招手, 是兒子同級同學的媽媽, 她指示一下對面的沙發, 是另外兩名同級同學的媽媽, 他們的仔女都發高熱……他們已診治過, 正在等候流感測試報告.
乖仔只有少少咳,沒有不正常體溫, 醫生也要他做流感測試……家裡沒糖吃的乖仔為了可以吃一粒糖而忍著痛和淚做了鼻腔採本測試. (後來醫生忘了給他糖!!!!! 扁嘴的乖仔好可憐啊!

, 我在百寶袋找衣服給大家, 老公罕有地劃點心, 一看點心紙…老公對價錢非常驚訝, 這樣的格局收酒店價錢
?? 我替仔女添衣, 連一眼也沒看點心紙, 老公就交單了.

這時, 加了外套的女兒仍然說凍, 不想吃想走, 乖仔說想到枱底避寒
??!! 唯有問waitress可有不凍的枱? 換到裡面的卡位, 果然暖了不少.
問老公劃了什麼點心? 他說不知道,求其劃了幾款. 那麼幾多款? 他說應該多過5款, 少過八款 (??!!?) 唉! O嘴囉.

譽滿坊是即叫即蒸, 我知道, 但等了20分鐘一款也沒有上桌……多等一會, 有吃的了, 但原來我們沒有筷子!!....Waitress 拿來的筷子, 原本的圖案已看不清, 樣子殘舊, 有些粗幼不一, 有些彎彎曲曲, 真懷疑那是我十多年前用過的曾經精美過的同一雙筷子!!

不過算啦, 都仲夾到餸嘅, 環保係美德! (都係怪自己懶, 沒帶 my hashi.)

根據相幾紀錄,
第 1 籠是叉燒包 – 熱辣辣, 樣子普通, 餡的甜度自然, 大家讚好,但女兒嫌叉燒包的皮黐牙。

第 2 籠是鷄包仔 – 沒看點心紙不知原名是什麼, 老公說其實他真的不知道劃了什麼, 他只是胡亂點的, 反正沒有特別想吃的點心 (他本來想吃烏冬) 老公吃一口鷄包, 一面呼出熱氣一面讚嘆說, “。。。やさしい味です。。。原來點心的味道可以這樣自然而鮮味, 根本不需要味精嘛, 真像在家裡吃到的一樣自然……”

第 3 籠是燒賣 -– 只有兩粒, 每人半個, 又是無味精的傑作!

第 4 款是竹筒飯 -- 老公問 “ え?これ何に??” 我話點知唧,你點嘅? 這個竹筒飯樣子實在不成, 竹筒又舊又破裂, 肉餅樣子求其, 會不會是個反高潮 ? 原來這個竹筒飯是用來引證外表醜並不代表是壞人的道理, 肉餅鮮甜鬆軟滑漏, 滲有冬菇的香味, 飯與肉餅間有薄薄的鮑片,下面的白飯吸收了所有精華, 不用添甜豉油也美味非常. (值得一提是甜豉油並無味精, 純粹是片糖煮豉油. 我很怕煲仔飯的味精甜豉油, 沾一沾也會口渴一整天!)

第 5 籠是蝦餃 – 又係兩粒, 不過很大. 樣子不佳既穿且爛, 原因是蒸籠小蝦餃大根本放不下, 搞到黐住籠邊, 夾到要皮還皮食, 餡還餡食, 不過, 好在有味道搭夠, 樣子零分但味道就滿分!! 因為蝦是新鮮海蝦, 鮮味爽口除鹽外, 相信沒有其他調味料了!

第 6 款是咸水角非常熱, 等了很久才敢給仔女吃. 油溫控制恰好, 沒有吸油情況, 肉絲餡多汁味道佳, 皮脆香軟, 輕輕的甜味,點到即止. 佳作!

第 7 款是蔥油餅 – 樣子趣怪, 老公以為那是馬拉盞! 吃一口才知應該是蔥油餅(酥?)! 皮脆鬆化少油, 餡只有蔥, 調味料相信只有鹽但味道就意外地好, 老公吃了兩個.

第 8 款點心是蛋撻仔, 我很飽沒有吃. 大家說可能太飽不覺特別. 不過不是難吃.

埋單 $39x.
老公話既滿足又抵食(佢睇點心紙時投訴貴,但吃過了就說抵!) 譽滿坊除服務差外, 真是值得推介給來港朋友. 下次想吃點心, 他第一時間會想到譽滿坊云云. 後來他補充說跑馬地太遠, 走來走去吃點心很不化算……最好樓下有分店!!?

有幾個日本客人來港,所以找日文雜誌找一些有日文餐牌的中國餐廳,去到門面幾毫華,心念都幾貴,入到去,裝修好中國特色,日本客人見到非常開心,一看餐牌,又吾貴,加上店員識日文,所以日本人自己決定點菜最後點了幾個廣東小菜,小籠包,全部都好少油,幾好味,值得下次自己再來推介食品:蝦餃,竹筒飯,小籠包

this dim sum place has become the 'love' of a lot of Japanese, Expatriates and local living in Happy Valley. Good steamed and fried dim sum and excellent vegi duplings. We had a steamed lotus rice and it came out with strange smell. We told the waiteress and we were offered a 're-make' - it came out with fresh and delicious taste. Do let the people know there is any change of their food quality in your next visit. Our overall expereince was pleasant.
