To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Food and Health Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department has launched the "League of RSS-friendly Restaurants" ("League"). Restaurants participated in the League will offer less-salt-and-sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the League Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. I had too much expectations on the spring rolls, but the sea urchin is definitely a plus to everything 🥳
Atmosphere is nice, maybe cause it’s Monday, quiet and no time limit
As only two of us, couldn’t really order much (as much as we would love to try all different dishes!)
Anyway, we ordered our all time favourites of Siu Loong Bao, which here is called Dan Dan Tong Bao. We also ordered the Waygu Beef Pastry, Pan Fried Chinese Herbal Yam Cake, Rice Rolls with fried bean curd and prawns wrapped in and Ginger Lobster Bao.
First, the Dan Dan Tong Bao was super nice, spicy which I like
Second, we had the Ginger Lobster Bao, also very nice, not so heavy.
Third, here it came to the Waygu Beef Pastry. This is very nice! The Beef have been mixed with some black pepper sauce and there’s plenty of meats inside. For the pastry, it’s very nice too, not too greasy, not overly down nor was it too thick, and layers are very clear.
Rice rolls, it’s nice but felt really heavy, maybe because of the big piece of prawn paste and fried bean curd inside.
Pan Fried Chinese Herbal Yam Cake, the taste gave us some surprise, a good one though. As very peppery, which we both nice, and different from normal yam cake from the normal dim sum menu.
Customer service was gooood that’s quite important in any f&b
Little pricy for what it is, but I guess it’s worth come back again with more people though, so can try more different dishes.
我的重點是食擔擔湯包，所以主食就是旦揀左碗麵～ 麵沒有特別好食，亦沒有特別難食，就是普普通通咁～ 但擔擔湯包就比我預期中差一點囉⋯⋯ 有少少辣味，唔算太辣，我都食得完，但這種湯不是我喜歡的~ 其實這間店有原味小籠包的，我見隔離客人點左，睇落好食d~ 我下次先試到了，因為我知道的時候已經吃飽了～
餐廳安排了吧枱位給我坐，可以睇調酒，我就順道問了調酒師長島冰茶的大細，他指隻杯都幾大隻，我本身係水瓶座，聽過千嬅的「可惜我是水瓶座-要是回去 沒有止痛藥水 拿來長島冰茶換我半晚安睡」就一直想試，以前以為是茶，後來才知是酒，但我一個人飲酒就好像不太安全～ 都未確定下次一定會試～
點知坐底咗，睇住個menu，我同朋友的反應都係一樣，得咁少款點心可以揀，成本menu大約十版，點心好似只亦一版半，其他都係小菜，再唔係就drink menu、wine list 。心諗，唔係呀，咁都叫library 。 確實個menu令我失望，咁我地都照叫點心啦。講真服務同招呼確實係好，基本上有求必應；點心味道都好，唯獨個手撕雞腸粉真心覺得唔得，最好食係黑椒和牛酥，堅酥脆，又夠黑椒味，買相都唔差。
