Walking along Jordan, we  found a little alley way we never noticed before. It was here we found a few restaurants! Including Curry Leaf Indian Cuisine. As we hadn't eaten Indian in a long time, we decided to go in for dinner. The place didnt seem very big as there was a huge bar on on end. But apparently, they had a much larger upstairs area.  Seating was a bit fancier than other Indian places we've been to. Menu is in English  and Chinese. We were provideded with free poppadoms. These were crispy with a some dipping sauce on the side. The sauces were pretty spicy. As it was going to get spicy, I ordered a mango lassi ($45). This was made fresh as I heard them blitzing this away. It was delicious. Smooth with a strong mango taste.Chicken Seekh Kebab ($112) was something we ordered as we had never tried it.  When it arrived, it smelled fantastic! The mince chicken meat wasnot dry with layers of different spices. And also wow ... was it spicy. It literally stayed with me. Thank goodness I had that lassi!Butter Chicken ($115) is something we always seem to order. The chicken meat was tender. The sauce was creamy and rich.Kashmiri Naan ($45) was not our usual naan. I much prefer a plain naan. But boyfriend wanted something different. And this was definitely different. I have never tried this. The naan was soft and fragrant. But inside was a smear of mashed nut and raisin. It seemed like a chutney but it was much more sweet. I felt a bit too sweet. But boyfriend loved it. He felt it was the best dish of the night.A very varied menu of Indian items. Some I haven't seen any where else. They seemed to be pretty busy with take out. Definitely something different to eat if you want to try something eles. continue reading

continue reading

continue reading
