又到遠離工作的星期五晚上,今晚相約幾位好友來北角,這酒店餐廳最近有一個遊輪港口做主題,就像坐郵輪去不同港口品嘗東南亞及東北亞美食餐廳環境高雅舒適,燈光柔和帶浪漫氣氛,仲有無敵維港景色我先點了紅酒去配美食,朋友們就叫了數款cocktail ,仲有泰式香口蝦片送酒先上日式刺身,入面有三文魚、吞拿魚、拖羅、帶子、左口魚、油金魚、手釣池魚等等,每款都好新鮮喔,拖羅入口即溶油脂滿滿在口腔越式雞肉香蕉花沙律,香蕉花清新配上雞肉,食落酸甜幾開胃冬陰公聽侍應講用上兩隻雞去煲,鮮甜帶酸辣度適中到主菜出場了,這款XO醬蒜香炒帶子用上日本帶子,大大粒又鮮味,再XO醬去爆炒多一份惹味,粉絲吸哂啲味都好正 韓式烤牛肉係用雪花肥牛,加埋秘製韓醬烤,仲有多款配料去煮,十分惹味出色這款紅咖喱龍蝦真係好得我歡心,用咗原隻龍蝦去煮,龍蝦爽口彈牙,最佢個汁醬,少辣甜甜地配飯食一流最後甜品係Cruise火焰雪山,望落好似太空館個半圓形咁,先倒上烈酒點火去燒,而入面有椰奶、芒果香茅及熱情果三款雪糕每層夾住蛋糕,食落酒味好出,加上雪糕都好清新又唔算太膩~ continue reading

這晚的家庭聚會選了北角的維港海悅尚萃酒店食晚飯。這家酒店前身是北角海匯酒店,經過重新命名後,設計煥然一新,時代感與設計並重,令人眼前一亮。 我們到了23樓的Cruise,想不到閒日的晚上,很熱鬧,外國客人也不少。餐廳耳目係色調為主,配上柔和的燈光,很有氣氛。一整塊落地玻璃外就是一大片醉人的維港夜景,閃閃生暉。 坐低先點飲品,我們分別點了紅酒、cocktail。用來配前菜的自身剛好。 不得不提那佐酒小食的蝦片,有很香的香茅味,令人食不停口。 雜錦刺身分別有拖羅、油金魚、三文魚、帶子、甜蝦、池魚等,都肥美新鮮,由日本直送! 開胃小菜有越式雞肉香蕉花沙律,香蕉花聽得多,但食入口真係第一次,完全冇苦澀味,泰式做法酸甜開胃。 冬蔭功湯大大隻虎蝦,酸度偏重,反而不辣,所以連不嚐辣的我,亦飲多兩啖。 XO醬蒜香炒帶子,粉絲炒得乾身彈牙,自家製XO醬入味,帶子肉厚又肥美。香煎牛肋骨大大塊,烤得入味,伴以生菜及泡菜這種韓式做法,在西餐中比較少見,食法很新鮮。 燒海鱸魚用蕉葉包著,混入秘製森巴醬,又有陣陣蝦乾和蝦醬香味,又香又好食! 最驚喜的是梅菜鱈魚和韓式烤牛肉,這2個菜都是送飯首選。牛肉已秘製的韓式汁,用上韓國雪花肥牛,伴洋蔥絲、甘筍絲炒成,甜甜地又有牛油香,十分惹味! 梅菜鯇魚食得多,但這梅菜鱈魚又令人驚喜,甜梅菜配滑嫩非常的鱈魚肉,這中菜做法用上西式食材結合,兩者異常合襯!味道也無得彈,而且那白飯是用竹籮一大籠捧上來為我們逐個添飯,很搞鬼! Cruise的招牌可算是這個火焰雪山,由椰子、香芒和熱情果3款雪糕夾著蛋糕。上枱時即場用冧酒點火燒著蛋白,賣相一流!而且蛋糕酒味濃,雪糕酸甜,兩者配合得天衣無縫,超級推介的甜品! 這裏每道特色的菜,都由該國籍的廚師主理,味道地道得來又創新,看得出餐廳的用心。加上環境和服務也好,絕對值得一訪! 臨走時才發現這裏還有個戶外區域可以望著維港飲酒傾計,好不熱鬧。想不到北角現在有了咁chill的一個地方,得閒約朋友來食飯飲野,的確寫意又舒暢!!! continue reading

近期香港酒店價格回落,不少也推出優惠作招徠,刺激本地客消費,因此酒店餐廳的人流也望有所增加。這次與飯腳們來試這間位於北角海濱的酒店頂樓餐廳,以維港景緻作背景,伴隨雞尾酒及晚餐。餐廳名字原來是以郵輪作靈感,將客人的用餐體驗比喻作一趟海上旅程,餐牌中的分類更以各個東亞港口城市命名,就像客人抵達不同的Port of call,便可以登岸品嚐當地的地道菜式。當然,我們這晚只需安坐餐廳中,便可輕易嚐到不同國家菜式。旅程由「東京」出發,先來兩份雜錦刺身,入面包括有加上了青柚子皮的帆立貝、池魚、油甘、八爪魚、赤身、拖羅及甜蝦等,款式與鮮度也不錯,肉質彈牙也不會過冰。鏡頭一轉,𣊬間已來到「胡志明市」,菜式是越式雞肉香蕉花沙律。裡面除了有來自越南的香蕉花外,拌入了雞絲、洋蔥、甘筍絲、薄荷葉、蔥及脆花生等。味道集合酸甜鹹幾種滋味,富有越式感覺。下一道是來自「布吉島」的冬蔭功湯,材料是經典的大蝦、草菇、香茅、辣椒、薑等,但呷啖湯頭,便喝得出是用了雞湯底來配襯蝦甜,調味不算很辣,亦能帶出酸爽的感覺。接下來是主菜時間,第一款是「濟州島」的韓式烤牛肉。以小鍋呈上的烤牛肉用上了雪花肥牛,再於秘製韓式醬汁裡烤煮,入味又富油香,醬汁正好佐飯。說時遲那時快,侍應已於電光火石間拿來一蘿熱騰騰的絲苗香飯,正合我意。同樣是韓式的香煎牛肋骨,韓牛肋煎得香脆,另外還伴以泡菜及生菜,可以自製生菜包,但個人覺得佐飯更惹味。接著上桌的X.O.醬蒜香炒帶子,賣相有種似曾相識的感覺,原來轉眼已回到「香港」!厚實的帶子用餐廳自家製X.O.醬炒香,放於炒粉絲之上,香氣撲鼻,帶子肉也夠嫩滑。同樣是港式風味的梅菜蒸鱈魚令人十分驚喜,以蒸籠奉上的鱈魚柳加上梅菜、辣椒、洋蔥等,魚柳的豐盈油脂令它在蒸熟後也能保持多汁滑溜,梅菜的甘甜也恰到好處。旅程繼續,一道「新加坡」的蕉葉紅蔥頭燒海鱸魚也非常出色,蕉葉包住鱸魚肉烤焗,夾雜了蕉葉、香茅及參巴醬的濃香,每口也是星洲氣息。最後我們再次來到「布吉島」,以一道紅咖喱龍蝦作結。原隻波士頓龍蝦拆肉後以紅咖哩汁燴煮,結實又鮮甜,粒粒泰國茄子也很入味。九分飽的我們最後也抵不過甜品的誘惑,點了一個Cruise火焰雪山分享。以橙酒的熊熊烈火燒過,焦香雪山裡面有三款雪糕(椰子雪糕、芒果雪糕、熱情果雪葩)及蛋糕,酒香配襯甜蜜的雪糕,就算酒精早已揮發,這種滿足也令人自醉。 continue reading

今次來到頂層的空中餐廳"Cruise",裝潢有格調,進來便是一個十分吸睛的吧台,落地玻璃遠眺維港夜景,不論室內和室外的位置,都有著非常開揚的無敵維港景色,頓時讓人感到放鬆舒適,餐廳氣氛甚好。在這漂亮的環境中,餐廳當然要點杯Moctails啦。Coco Cruise $88Fresh Lime Juice, Lychee Syrup, Mojito Syrup, Coconut Water & Soda Water餐廳現在主打多國菜,包括香港、日本、韓國、新加坡、泰國和越南的菜式。以星級酒店、海景餐廳來說性價比十分高。先來東京 - 雜錦刺身包括有三文魚、拖羅、油甘魚、池魚、手吊池魚、甜蝦、八爪魚、帶子和赤身刺身厚切,每款質素都十分高,最愛手吊池魚,口感特爽彈;拖羅油脂香濃。香煎日式餃子 - 煎得金黃香脆。濟州島 - 韓式烤牛肉,用上雪花牛配上秘製醬汁,份量十足,烤牛味香濃肉汁豐富又野味。布吉島 - 紅咖喱龍蝦這道咖喱顏色漂亮吸引,配上起肉了的波士頓龍蝦,彈牙爽韌,味道香濃帶點辣,野味開胃,下飯不二選。香港 - 梅菜蒸鱈魚,用蒸籠呈上,用上惠州梅菜,十分提味,魚肉嫩滑。店員會端上竹籃飯,夠熱夠新鮮。火焰雪山(2-4人分享)甜品 Cruise 白色半圓三層蛋糕 外面酒味香濃,熱情果雪葩、芒果及椰子雪糕 continue reading

This restaurant is located on the top floor of Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong, formerly known as Hotel Vic, with a gorgeous harbour view and contemporary setting. We were assigned to sit at the corner with a nice round table and sofa, comfortable and relaxing, and the staff warmly greeted us and explained the menu, featuring mainly Asian cuisines. After ordering a cocktail to start, we ordered the Pomelo Salad ($80) as appetizer. It is prepared with tamarind sauce, onion, fried shallot and shredded coconut. Very refreshing, the pomelo is plentiful and sweet, with the slightly sour tamarind sauce complementing perfectly. The chopped spring onion and coriander added extra flavors. Although it seems simple, the taste is quite good. There is a sushi bar in the restaurant and so we tried out the Assorted Sashimi ($350). The sashimi are all very fresh, and beautifully arranged on the plate. There are two pieces for each type of sashimi so it is just perfect for two persons. It is a pleasant surprise on its good value for money. For the main course we had two dishes. The first is Green Chicken Curry ($110), with eggplant, tomato, chili and Thai basil. Comparatively this one was a bit disappointing, and I found it is lacking the spicy and fragrance the green curry is known for. The chicken texture is also quite tough. Not exactly something I would recommend. The other main dish was Peps Ikan ($160), with the sustainable barramundi wrapped in banana leaf, coated with a paste of sambal, shallots and lemongrass. The fish flesh was tender and juicy, with the banana leaf keeping the moisture. This signature Singaporean dish is a much better choice than the green curry in my opinion. Wrapping up we have the Seasonal Fruit Platter ($90), with different types of fruit including watermelon, melon, dragon fruit, pear, and raspberry. Apart from the pear all the fruit are sweet and tasty, but the pear is rather bland. The other dessert was Caramelized Baked Japanese Cheesecake ($80) with some market berries added. The cheesecake is decent in taste, not too sweet and the crusty caramel on top certainly served as a nice addition to the flavors and give a nice contrast on texture. The berries are fresh and having nice acidity to balance the weight of the cheesecake. The bill on the night was $1,144 which was after the credit card discount of 15%. Considering the view I would expect the price tag to be higher and not sure why the hotel decided to change the format of the restaurant recently, aiming more to the mass market than go for high-end.
