Thai food is a must when you visit Kowloon city as the surrounding area is full of Thai restaurants. We picked Cambo for our dinner choice due to its popularity, name and that we have tired one of their shop in Tsim Sha Tsui before and it was so delicious. traditional restaurant full of history and expanded to more restaurants in the city. one of the most popular dish here is their fresh prawn sashimi, wow 😮 this dish was actually the best one ☝🏼 I’ve had in my life. The prawn were fresh, big and the sauce made it so flavorful, loved it. I will definitely miss this dish and come back here just for it. we picked fresh coconut as our drink to share. It was big, sweet and tasty. We also finished the coconut instead as it was easy to eat. for mains, we ordered curry brisket with fresh baguette 🥖 another wow factor applies here as the curry taste was perfect and with the dip of the sauce, made it super tasty 😋 a snack we ordered was the fried prawn balls with melted sauce in the middle. It was hot, crunchy and juicy. Another lovable dish! we ordered a vegetable to share too, it was yummy and a strong taste of Thai food. of course we have to also order the skewers in three different kinds of meat, not only it’s juicy...hot but the satay sauce was superb! another “wow” have to be given here! lastly, cannot leave without ordering their sticky mango rice. Portion was big, mango was sweet. A very satisfying meal indeed and cannot wait to come back with more people so we can try more dishes! continue reading

金寶泰國菜已經在九龍城區有差不多三十年歴史,分別有泰國菜和越南菜提供。每次路過都想入內光顧,可惜緣慳一面,今天下午便來到回味一下。店內重新裝修過,簡單而舒服。海南雞飯$68,雞肉灑上蔥和油,增加了味道層次,雞肉嫩滑,喜歡酸辣味,可以點些自家製酸辣汁。油飯煙煙靭靭,明明是米飯,不過吃落像糯米飯的口感,我非常喜歡這個油飯,所以極速把它吃掉。粉特別(內有牛腩、牛丸、柏葉)$56,湯頭是用牛骨熬制而成,味道清甜而適中,牛腩軟腍,柏葉爽脆,河粉軟滑,整體滿意。跟餐越南滴滴咖啡凍$16,咖啡用滴漏方式製成,待漏完之後,和煉奶攪拌均勻,便可倒入冰杯內。咖啡味道濃郁,甜味香濃,是一道越南特色咖啡。活蝦刺身$95,蝦肉爽口、彈牙、清甜,配上自家製酸辣醬汁,就是一道必點的活蝦刺身。香芒椰汁糯米飯$50,可以選擇黑/白糯混合,白糯米軟糯,黑糯米帶點嚼勁,芒果清甜香軟,絕對是必吃甜點。雖然香港出現了很多出色的泰國菜,我已經多年沒有光顧,不過金寶絕對是歷久不衰的選擇。 continue reading

-跟據我嘅非正式統計🔢,呢期唔知點解~~唔同嘅fd 都約我食唔同泰國🇨🇷餐廳。好彩每間都咁好好味。我呢個朋友一入嚟呢間舖頭,就話佢細細個👦就已經喺度食,食咗幾廿年咁話喎🤭。泰式炒粉絲($65)好味到🤤🤤, 停唔到口嘅味道。 泰式炒通菜($50)泰式串燒[6串: 雞 🐔/ 牛🐂 / 豬🐖]($70)如果要我比分嘅, 我會比 1.牛🐂, 2.雞🐔, 3.豬🐖。 串燒食咗, 食咗唔會係咁灌水🥛。 再點下側邊嘅黃色椰汁, 肉嘅味道咁出👍。蒜蓉🌰法包🥖($25)朋友仔話見到隔離枱叫好香喎,點都一定要叫個蒜蓉包食。越南滴滴咖啡☕[熱]($25)原來呢間都有呢款coffee☕, 好飲嘅當然要再飲多次喇。招牌甜品拼盤($80)拼盤嘅好處,就係樣樣甜品都可以試啲, 啱哂眼寬肚窄嘅我地。其實食店裝修唔使太過花巧, 有時懷舊 + 傳統 + 老字號嘅風味亦都得到民心😍。今日係平日都座無虛席就證明到喇😎。呢間舖有哂服務,都無加一,真心覺得好抵🤑!!==========金寶泰國菜館地址:九龍城衙前塱道25號 continue reading

One would normally have high expectations for the Thai food in this area, especially from one of the more well known restaurants. The table was so small that you can barely for drinks and 2 dishes. I think the restaurant managed to demonstrate the worst arrangements ever, we ordered food and dessert at the same time, and then dessert were the first to come in this ridiculously small table. We asked the waiter and she made it sound like it's my problem for ordering too early. There goes my appetizers. Both came at the same time. And then everything else basically came in one go. Spicy squid salad. Wasn't bad but was perhaps a little too spicy. Tom Yam Gong. Was decent. Fried vegetables. Thai green curry. Bad. The quality of the chicken was pretty bad. Spicy fried clams. More like spicy fried onion and peppers it was too difficult to find clams meat to eat. Fried curry prawn. Like the previous dish it's difficult to find prawn and when you find it it tastes frozen. I've got to say I don't understand why a restaurant can be so famous while both the food and service can be so bad. I honestly never expected much service from this restaurant but this outperformed my expectations by miles. Next time when I come over to KL city I should do a bit more research. continue reading
