常來大坑,但這家店始終未來過,原因是感覺上這家沒什麽特別,今天終於來試試。據店員說,這家店在大坑 16年了。嘩,16年啊!馬上想起斷腸崖十六年之約 : "十六年後,在此重會,夫妻情深,勿失信約。小龍女書囑夫君楊郎,珍重萬千,務求相聚。" 進店,点了 Brunch,店員招待很好,裝修舊了点但杯碟餐具都蠻新的,枱上放了即磨 Pink Salt 及Pepper,有D heart 喎。Brunch 上來了,有 Parma Ham,味道正常,溫度不太冷,可以。炒蛋原來是炒蛋白來的,很熱,上面有香草碎,加上 Pink Salt,味道不能不好。焗蕃薯條,不過乾不過硬,明顯是即做的,贊。蒜容包正常。那個小杯的沙律放了濃甜醋,配沙律菜很好吃,也算用了心思。腸仔2條幼幼的,咬落不肥,很香,煎得也有点啡色,絕對過關。咖啡就不成了,有一陣舊豆味,不夠香,不夠濃,不夠苦,咖啡就是差。這店总體算好,值得 See u next time。

在大坑開超過10年的Cafe只有一位廚師,環境還算可以吧!這晚與友人在這裏談天說地,一邊傾計一邊食嘢⋯ 我叫了杯 Whisky Sour 賣相不錯亦不難飲,只是細杯少少、又貴了少少。再來就是 Fish & Chips,賣相不錯,可惜太炸又太油了,本人不太喜歡。整體來說,這 Cafe 的食物味道太普通了!

I am  highly recommend for anyone looking for a good egg benedict. We popped into this cozy little place after boat trip from Macau, desperate for some good food. Greeted on arrival by the super friendly owner who assured us they would always make room (the place was completely full),  and seated within seconds, we were very impressed. I had eggs Benedict  with pama ham- possibly the best I've ever tasted, and a hot orange ginger honey tea,  refreshing ! Would highly recommend this vibrant cozy

My wife and i enjoy having brunch on a typical weekend. We were gonna try brunch at a different place in tai hang but it is under renovation. So we came here. WORST IDEA EVER. First came the coffee. Its just bad, "cafe on the corner" when the coffee isnt even cafe quality.

Then came the chef's special. Wow, the portion is very small and its $120? The eggs are not creamy, the sausages are small and not juicy, the potato wedges are the ones you get at cha chang teng. Oh, and the beans, ice cold. I could go on forever!

Lastly, the eggs benedict. They taste like the ones i made at home, and im not a very good chef and have only tried making eggs benedict once. One of the eggs was overcooked. The ham was so small that i almost forgot about it. Used too much vinegar to make the eggs that it actually taste sour. And im not even gonna repeat about the potato wedges and beans again.

Attentive and welcoming.

Ambiance:
Cosy and homily. The open kitchen is very close to the seating. Sizzling sound when ingredients hit the frying pan was distracting.

Prawn salad with special house dressing:
Literally, one "prawn" salad. Singular and lonely. Quite fresh, not the crunchiest. The special dressing was thousand island??

Pork chop:
Nicely caramelised onions in balsamico. The pork was succulent. Garnished with crunchy, juicy to grilled courgette.
Pan-fried  pork  chop  caramelised onions in balsamic gravy  ,  with  rice.

星期六晚來到大坑, 出奇的人不算很多。我們第一次來試試這間西餐廳。環境比我想像中好, 小小的一間餐廳, 落地玻璃, 食客不多, 所以頗寧靜。店員的服務都很殷勤。我們點了兩個dinner set, 磨菇湯味道不錯, 不過個人覺得稀了一點, 配上的多士味道很多, 十分香脆。點了一個小食焗薯皮, 用上了不太鹹的芝士, 吃得多都不覺鹹, 薯仔熱辣辣, 很不錯。其中一個set點了lasagna, 同樣不鹹的芝士, 但麪身頗硬, 是我吃過最硬的lasagna, 不是我杯茶, 或者他們可以再焗久一點。另一個set點了豬扒飯, 豬扒味道不錯, 軟硬適中, 不過飯我們不知道是健康飯, 紅米煮得硬, 又不是我們杯茶, 不過感覺健康。最後的檸檬茶與咖啡是不錯的。今晚對食物沒有太多要求, 寧靜的渡過一個晚上已經不錯。

間店環境幾渡假feel,疑似老闆又勁好客。
平時d人問你加吾加多少少錢升grade,都係機械式口吻,而疑似老闆係勁有heart,你會睇得出佢係幾咁想幾咁想你去加錢,叫多幾樣。。。

生日帶女朋友到大坑找吃,經過這間小店時,侍應姐姐(老闆?)殷勤地遞上餐牌,又見這店人少較靜,就選了這間.兩人點了一個西班牙辣肉腸扁意粉,一個磨菇意大利飯.兩個主菜都很美味,醬汁的量份很準,每條意粉,每粒飯都沾上美味的醬汁,但最後又不會有醬汁留在碟底.烹調火候亦掌握得好,咬下去沒有煮過頭,很"淋"的感覺.意大利飯尤其出色,磨菇汁味道不濃,不會越吃越鹹,飯粒外軟內硬.絕對值得一試.另一驚喜是熱檸茶的檸檬,檸檬和茶是分開上,所以奉上時會聞到清新的檸檬味,估計不是一早切好的檸檬.雖然只是細節,但細節才顯出心思.P.S.各項滿分因為找不到缺點.

先謝謝朋友這餐遲來的生日午餐。 Cafe on the corner 亦由小妹自選的。店子很小只能容納數張檯。為免曰行一趟請緊記book 位。小妹選了Brunch 是以煙肉、芝士、蘑菇、洋蔥、青椒等火焗奄列配蒜蓉包及提子。首次吃焗奄列的感覺是材料雖然下足夠,但份量還是單薄,而且焗出來的蛋也失去嫩滑感。小妹還是喜歡煎成金黃的奄列。而一片蒜蓉包補償奄列的不足。Cappuccino 看似不俗,泡泡夠厚又挺,咖啡香溫和,不酸、甘苦味平衡討好。最可惜是下了玉桂搶了咖啡的香味。食物合格,是令人 relaxing 的地方 。但服務有待改善,女店員明顯地做到燥底火起。。。

近期工作忙碌,星期六約友去銅鑼灣行街shopping 來減壓。生活迫人,想去一處人少又可以閒聊的餐廳,我們選了靜中帶旺的大坑來開飯。本想去食意大利菜,想不到星期六晚全場爆滿,沒有訂位的我們只好另作他選。多走幾步中西日食店也不少,我們見這裡還有一張二人枱尚未有客,就不妨一試。我們各自選了一道主菜另加$45可改為set dinner,包括餐湯或沙律另配咖啡或茶。我們點了是日餐湯南瓜湯,味道香濃配上小吐司一流。主菜選了紐西蘭羊架及野菌risotto一齊分享;羊架要medium配以薯菜,雖然羊架有少小羊羶味但尚可接受。野菌risotto,飯身遍軟但味道比想中理想。另外咖啡方面只要補回差額,就可選擇自己喜好的咖啡, 我要了latte,朋友要了mocha。我們還要了home made 芝士餅及焦糖燉蛋,能夠一口咖啡一口甜品實在是件賞心樂事。芝士餅上有sour cream配合香濃的芝士,味道不錯;另焦糖燉蛋, 面層的焦糖略微厚及燒得過黑, 但入口頗滑不太甜

酸忌廉芝士蛋糕+熱巧克力套餐($48)
期待而久的蛋糕首先送到,如果你喜歡不膩的芝士蛋糕,那定會喜歡這裡的出品。芝士蛋糕質地細膩,濕潤柔軟,入口用舌尖輕輕一推,就像棉花糖一樣融化了;而芝士味不算很重,畢竟加了酸忌廉,吃的就是輕盈的感覺,女生吃完一整塊,也完全不會有罪惡感(但這樣才罪惡吧)。頂層的酸忌廉topping也不俗,不會過酸;餅底用了奧利奧曲奇,與蛋糕的顏色做成鮮明對比,視覺效果不錯,可惜餅底並不鬆脆,吃起來沒口感,要扣分。

套餐的熱巧克力,雖不至於有酸味,但巧克力味道不濃郁,說實話很一般;反而我姐套餐的玫瑰茶味道不錯(忘了拍照),大家不妨一試。

鴨胸肉沙律+玫瑰茶套餐($58)
沙律好吃不難,只要用料新鮮就可以,這邊的配菜翠綠爽口,配上香醋很開胃,但分量略嫌太少;鴨胸肉則是意料中的普通。

這次只淺嘗了蛋糕和沙律,兩者以蛋糕較為出色;雖然水準不算太讓人驚喜,但小店格調舒服,來大坑放鬆心情,這裡是不錯的選擇。

用餐期間,老闆主動打開話閘子,我們才意料得知,這家店已經開業八年之久。近幾年,各種獨立食肆紛紛進駐大坑,單是咖啡館就有不少,還有眾多西日韓式餐廳,競爭激烈,但這裡仍能站得住腳,相信確有其過人之處,決定了,下次就試試這裡的晚餐!
