Butter was a like a cute old school American diner in the middle of K11 Musea. Originally a pop-up shop in Landmark, they now have a place in K11 Musea. The staff are dressed like retro waitress uniforms. Complete with friendly conversation. Unlike the Landmark pop-up, this place has an area to dine in.Menu is in English only. There is no 10% service charge. You order and pay at the cashier and they will bring your food to you. All avaliable cakes and pies are on display. They also have drinks. You can buy a whole cake or by the slice.Without a thought, I decided on the red velvet. The cake costs a whopping $100! That's quite an expensive slice of cake. But it was delicious. Moist and rich. The cream cheese frosting was sweet and smooth. Creamy with the tang of ream cheese. Possibly the best red velvet I've had in Hong Kong as all the red velvet's I have tried are dry with a rock had frosting. It is a bit sweet for the Asian palate as they do adhere to American ones. Loved how they opened a branch at K11 Musea. Last night I was invited to a birthday party last minute, and was so glad I could pop over to K11 Musea to get their chocolate cake which was my friend’s favourite. The cakes sold here are dense and sweet, very filling and satisfying. Also love the colour combination or their brand. Red and white, what can go wrong? Nothing!I really enjoy their red velvet cake. It's not too sweet, but it has a rich chocolate flavour and the color is vibrant red. The cream cheese frosting is also to die for! A close second would be the chocolate cake.
