Understand that this place is ran by a F&B group with over 20 restaurants in Hong Kong. Located in Elgin Street it's not so hard to find. A pretty boutique place, a rather casual setting. Nothing too fancy on the menu. Just standard but casual kind of European food. Asparagus salad with tomato. Decent but not surprising. Calamari. Okay. Thought the taste was a little light and the batter was a little too thick and fell off too easily. Escargots. Quite typical, nothing special. Seafood stew. the soup was very nice. I have to say it's probably one of the best broths I've tasted in Hong Kong. The fried soft shell crab was delicious. The fish inside was also great. Similar things I'd like to say for the mussels. The soup was excellent. I think the lemon inside the soup worked really well. However, the quality of the service and staff were rather controversial. I saw them buy a pack of potato chips from across the street and started eating it in the counter (which is pretty much an open area). This really wasn't what I expected in a group managed western restaurant. Certainly did not notice this in other restaurants in the group. Based on this, I'd say there's plenty of room for improvement in that aspect. Ended up 500 per person including one drink. I have no problem with food but need to work on the staff. continue reading

和男友到這餐廳慶祝生日,因工作關係,我們比原定Booking嘅6:45遲了30分鐘才到。去到嘅時候餐廳仲有大約30%嘅空位,和職員溝通後,她在電腦check到我們遲到,她便怪責我們遲到,沒有即時安排座位,還黑面地望着我們沒有出聲,我便問他現在可以怎樣?她説你們還有1小時15分鐘用膳,你們OK嗎?我們說可以,然後便安排入座。入座後點了白酒、田螺、鵝肝多士、海鮮濃湯和燉牛肩肉。食物方面質素不錯,但是當我們剛吃主菜時,那位外籍女經理走過來叫我們點甜品吃,我回應她說我們正在吃主菜,請你一會兒再把甜品Menu拿給我們看。她再次怪責我們說,因為你們book了6:45你們應該在8:15交枱,如果你們現在(8:00)不叫甜品,你們往後也不能叫甜品吃。5分鐘後,她便把賬單放在枱上,當時餐廳還有40%空位,男友感到不滿,便以英語反問他,隔離的幾張枱,他們比我們更早來,難道他們book了兩節時間用膳?還是walk in 的客人可以比我們有更長的用膳時間嗎?她回應說,我現在也給他們賬單了。整體用餐感覺像吃快餐廳,從來未見過西式餐廳這樣追趕客人吃飯,還會怪責客人遲到,服務像茶餐廳。感覺上那位外籍女經理對華人嘅服務態度較差。從頭到尾一直被不斷怪責遲到,嚴重影響當晚的心情。埋單$1500的餐廳給你這種服務,你還會去嗎?I came here with my boyfriend for celebration of birthday. Due to some issue for work, we arrived here 30 minutes after the original booking at 6:45. The female manager blamed us for being late and she was reluctant to give us seats where the restaurant was 30% vacant. Finally, she said we could only dine until 8:15. We sat down and ordered snails, foie gras toast, seafood stew, braised beef shoulder and a bottle of wine. The food was fine in general.At 8:00, while we were having the main course, the manager approached us and asked us to order desserts. I said as we are having the main dishes, can you come back after? She again blamed us for being late and said, “if you don’t order the the dessert right now, we won’t serve you dessert as you have to return the table at 8.15.” 5 minutes later, she placed the bill on our table.While the restaurant was 40% vacant, my boyfriend was unhappy with the rude service. He countered the manager “The customers of those tables arrived much earlier then I did, did they reserve for 2 dining sessions? Or whether walk-in guests can enjoy extra time for dining? She replied that she was going to give them bills too.Paying $1,500 for dinner, I did not expect the service like this. I wondered whether I came to a fast food shop. 我和朋友今天很想食牛扒,係中環行咗一陣,發現呢間算係最平之一,仲會連埋appetiser 或者甜品,所以決定試試。侍應首先拿來餐包,麵包都幾大舊,仲暖笠笠。Appetiser 我們叫了Smoked Salmon Rillette with Toast and Salad。無唸過lunch set 包埋嘅 appetiser 都咁大份。三文魚係好足料,可惜食落主要係熟三文魚,當中得少少真煙三文魚粒。如果煙三文魚嘅比例再多d就好啦。Main Course 我地揀咗Steak Frites。個steak 高質呀,一d都唔韌,完美cook到medium rare,點埋d醬真係好好食。d薯條係幼身個種,偏鹹。整體黎講,呢到lunch set 真係好豐富,性價比好高,絕對推介! continue reading

約了同事食飯,在openrice book 了枱。準時來到,已經對她說了經openrice book 枱,黑面職員安排了座位。落了單的食飯遲遲未來,還漏單,要我們再三提醒。其時其實餐廳一半滿座都沒有。食物上桌,牛排是凍的,點了的medium rare, 鞋到吃不下,我食了一半就放下。我不是第一次來,發現他們的食物質素比之前下降了不少,當然那班黑面waitress 都令dining experience 感覺極差。最後這間餐廳還要mark me as no show , 我打電話給她們說明,他們將責任推卸到openrice 身上,說是openrice system error.這樣的垃圾餐廳,在不乏餐廳的中環,遲早自動消失。 continue reading

在中環吃午飯,周圍都是人,而且好吃的非常貴,不好吃的也很貴,走遠一點,便上Soho, 性價比高很多。.這次試這一間,提早了兩小時訂位,好彩能訂到。.抵吃是在中環吃兩個course只是$138, 三個是$158. .我和朋友兩個都點了steak frites, medium. 前菜是soup 和 baked egg..Bakes egg. 很軟滑湯就如常,沒有特別驚喜Steak就很驚喜,煮牛很簡單,但煮得好吃一點也不簡單,這個價錢完全是卓越!薯條是幼身的,好吃!餐廳環境令我感覺在外國吃午餐,加上有些外國人。這天有點飽,沒有點甜品,下次再來一定會試 continue reading
