Accentuating the modern steakhouse’s communal concept, Bostonian Seafood & Grill specially presents a moreish Meat Night dinner menu to delight the midweek dining spree in share portion. Begin your journey with a tantalising selection of special appetisers, featuring Roasted Bone Marrow and Beef Steak Tartare. Tuck into the star of the restaurant – artisanal dry-aged beef. Choose from the tender 90-day dry-aged 36oz Porterhouse from Galicia, or the flavourful 28-day dry-aged 32oz Irish Tomahawk. 今天老闆請食 Lunch, 地點在北京道朗廷酒店地庫。Bostonian seafood & Gill 聽個名就知有好野食。環境燈光配撘得宜,幽暗得來氣氛很自在,應光的位置,射燈照明得很清楚而又不會太刺眼, 例如: 飯桌和選擇食物的地方,這點明顯在設計上花過心思,這點值得一讚。先來個 Appetizer Buffet, 精緻簡單、沙律菜夠新鮮,喜歡那煙三文魚,陣陣魚香很吸引,還有芝士盤選擇,由於公務會議在身,沒有太細緻去拍攝。襯托下的紙,原來是印有報紙花紋的牛油紙,精緻。USA beef carpaccio with rocket & mustard dressing ~除煙三文魚外,另一喜歡的項目,醬汁做得出色,帶出牛的肉味。Oyster Lobster Platter ~每人有三隻生𧐢和半隻龍蝦,合格之選,未有太大驚喜,尢其那龍蝦未算吸引。Australian beef Sirloin ~由於幾位同事都點牛,所以幾多成熟⋯⋯我相信店員已攪到調亂晒,因為我這牛,有點 over 咗Grills Octopus ,heirloom tomatoes ~這個適合女士們點,原因份量少,無需吃太多。Pork jelly porchetta style~在三款 Main 當中,筆者最喜歡反而是這 Pork Jelly 這做法,吃到豬的煙燻豬肉味道,但對一位女士來說的話,這是比較飽肚的項目,由於隔離位的女同事說吃得太多,所以分到一丁點來試。Vanilla profiteroles with warm bitter chocolate sauce and milk chocolate ~熱愛朱古力的,必點之選,帶出朱古力的味道多種層次,一口咖啡,一口甜品,簡直夾到不得之了。Pavlova with mix berries, whipped vanilla cream & raspberry sorbet ~單看樣貌,女士們大愛,相機必定食先,酸甜道之交錯,將它發揮得淋漓盡致。整體來說:Appetizer 做得出色,甜品味道的襯托做得相當唔錯,值得欣賞,唯獨是店員服務欠缺主動。 continue reading

城中有不少餐廳供應著Brunch Menu,而近期有一間餐廳不受影響,依然經常爆滿,這間就是朗廷酒店內的Bostonian Seafood & Grill,大家到來既目的就是為了品嚐「BUBBLY JOURNEY」主題的Brunch了。 這是一個夢幻的旅程,可依美食地圖遊走,先拿著一杯氣泡柔順的Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut NV Champagne來開始旅程,瞬間由悶熱變得涼快。 一個豐富的Seafood Tower送到面前,喝著香檳,吃著冰鎮海鮮,實在寫意。拼盤有新鮮的生蠔、翡翠螺、長蟹腳及凍蝦,份量足夠兩人分享。 隨後走到Salmon Bar,枱上放滿了各式各樣醃法的三文魚,當中有些味道更是新穎有趣,例如添加了芥末或黑椒的醃法,每款都非常肥美鮮味。 再走到Charcuterie, Cheese & Salad Station,看見琳瑯滿目的頭盤時,心情為之一振。沙律是有專人拌勻的,大家挑選了材料後,交給廚師,他會將所有材料放進大芝士內,加入沙律汁再拌勻,是真正非常新鮮的做法,同時,亦可添加其他配料,令味道變得更有層次。 如果喜歡芝士的朋友有福了,雖然Cheese Station不大,但也有十多款選擇,連藍芝士也有數款可選,而且旁邊更有不少的配料可一同享用。可是,芝士並不是占苗所喜愛的東西,反而凍肉卻是小弟喜愛的,有著不同部位、不同國家及不同肉類的選擇,當中最喜歡油脂甘香,肉味帶甜的Iberico Ham,真是百吃不厭。最後,還有店中招牌的鴨肝醬,軟軟綿綿,非常惹味。 用過頭盤前菜過後,侍者會把Pass Around Table的食物送上。Black Mussel with white wine 及Pan-fried Duck Liver兩款一起來,聞到香噴噴的青口時,已急不及待想吃了,趁熱來吃,鮮甜無比,份量一點也不少,隨手拿來蒜蓉包蘸上湯汁,頓時感到無比的滋味。另外,熱辣辣的煎鴨肝放在薯絲脆餅上,別有一番風味。 如果只是冰鎮龍蝦,占苗或許不吃,但Boston Baked Lobster焗得香噴噴,肉質彈牙,鮮甜惹味,絕對會忍不住想吃。 此時,近酒吧的位置突然起哄,原來是大廚推出了Seafood Paella來,怪不得大家會聚在一起爭相拍照。隨後大廚會分盛到小盤來,再送到每位客人的枱上。海鮮用料豐富,每粒飯都吸滿濃惹鮮味的海鮮湯,雖然美味,但卻有點兒太濕,乾身一點會好些,因現在有點像Risotto,是唯一美中不足之處。 過了不久,連最後一款Pass Around的Roasted Suckling Pig也出爐了,每枱也會分到一件,豬皮烤得香脆可口,內裡卻是濃香惹味的肉批,口感彈牙,而且還加了些堅果在內,提升了口感,十分好吃。 就在此時,到Drink Bar拿一杯自行調校的特飲,正好當中有小弟喜愛喝的Bloody Mary,正想向Bartender拿取時,發現有無酒精版,於是拿來一嚐,相當醒神開胃。同時,還有Mojito及Sangria,正好母親大人愛喝Sangria,就拿了一杯給她。 主角終於登場了,身為牛魔皇的小弟豈會不吃牛,自自然然選了Grilled Black Angus Beef Tenderloin,牛柳烤得相當到家,外層微微焦香,中間呈現暗紅,肉汁豐盛,很久沒有看到烤得這麼好的了。 母親大人想吃得清淡的,於是要了Tasmanian Organic Salmon Fillet,三文魚扒處理得非常好,相當嫩口,再淋上Creamy的醬汁,滋味更得到飛躍性的提升。 基本上胃口已飽,也吃不下甜品了,但Dessert Paradise擺放的很美,最終也只拿了幾小件作罷。 是日與母親大人到來,她十分高興,由海鮮拼盤開始,一路也讚不絕口,事實上,食物質素不俗,價錢又合理,絕對是食Brunch的好去處。 continue reading

My friends were calling for a lunch gathering  at Bostonian Seafood and Grill last month.  It was my first time at this restaurant and we were seated in an elegant half-circle booth. The restaurant is at the basement so there is no breathtaking view, but the environment is absolutely nice and inviting.The 2 courses set lunch menu including a all you can eat semi buffet as entree. The semi buffet  is totally up to the standard.  Lavish selection of Hams and cheeses, lots of pickles. Smoked salmons was fresh and had a delightful pink colour. Other variety including pasta, eggplant and salad.  They  were all superb and impressive. One setback was that they did not offer an avalanche of desserts like most hotels did in town.Apart from the semi buffet, each head was served up with 2 oysters. They were freshly shucked. Hot main courses had a standard choice of surf and turf and vegetarian.The set lunch was not all inclusive as your drink was not inclusive, however you can have a drink plus a dessert at 40 HKD.Overall, it was still on the pricey side after 10 % discount. continue reading
