I previously tried Angelini and gave it a great review. When I saw they are now celebrating their 40th anniversary, I wanted to go and try their anniversary meal. However, I was a tad let down by it. I think I might have accepted it if it was a regular set dinner but since it is promoted as a celebration of their 40th anniversary I definitely expected more in terms of taste and service.Overall, the good points of this menu includes the discount for golden circle members, the inclusion of champagne and coffee(this is not mentioned in the menu) and a great dessert. However, when each dish was served, I expected a bit brief introduction since it was their anniversary set dinner but this did not happen(except dessert).For example, the first dish being the traditional beef tartare, it would have been interesting to know why the chef chose to make it like this as it definitely is not like our usual beef tartare. For the next dish, the flavor of both the foie gras and ham was a bit too strong despite they already added the campari jelly and raspberry.  Next came the mango and ginger sorbet. It was definitely a welcome change from the usual lime sorbet for cleansing the palate. However, the server actually did not explain it and when I was sending the photos to my friends, they thought it was already dessert time. The pasta was unfortunately a bit disappointing. The pasta itself was al dente and caviar was not salty but the sauce was a bit too salty.The sea bass was moist and soft and luckily the sauce of this dish was seasoned right.The highlight of the menu was definitely the dessert and surprisingly this is the only dish they introduced. The sauce had a hint of alcohol without overshadowing the nutty flavor.Overall, I won't say it was bad but it definitely should not be marked as their 40th anniversary dinner. continue reading

【瘋癲試食】|Angelini 🍝又去左食個Perfect Lunch🤩🤩Lunch Hour黎食真係抵食到爆炸呀😌 餐廳提供4 course Set Lunch 舒舒服服既環境 咁就渡過左一個晏晝☺️由一開始既麵包籃已經好食到不得了 麵包超級鬆軟👍🏻 平時個啲用一舊就會擺低 尼籃麵包俾我食下食下食哂😂😂頭盤我地就揀左Cold Cut拼盤同Beef Carpaccio 👍🏻 豬腿配上蜜瓜 味道覺得就岩岩好 唔會覺得太鹹😋 另外就係Beef Carpaccio 😍 薄薄既生牛肉片配上香草同芝士 好食到不得了呀🤩湯方面 林小姐就加錢嘆個冧酒龍蝦湯🤩 湯入面都有龍蝦肉嫁 味都非常濃郁🦞佢就當然飲到舔舔脷啦 仲笑我得個雜菜湯飲😤到左主菜方面 就揀左佢地自家製既全蛋麵配意大利黑松露😍 自家製既Tagliolini 食落口非常彈牙 仲要配埋一片片嘅意大利黑松露 越食越興奮😆 另外就係Rib Eye Steak 🥩 肉質都好唔錯 只係如果可以厚身少少就會再開心啲😂甜品當然要叫個Tiramisu 黎試啦 招牌菜真係唔同嘅 真係好好味😋 黎多一杯都無問題😂 另外一個就會職員推薦話都好好味 係一個意大利薄荷奶凍 配上Raspberry 但可能太薄荷既感覺 林小姐就唔太歡喜啦🤔 continue reading

今年和太太結婚20週年記念,諗住搵一間好少少的餐廳,同太太食飯慶祝,在 Open Rice 找了一間意大利餐廳 ,見評價不俗 ,所以同太太決定一試。在酒店網上訂位時,本來諗住訂晚餐 ,但原來網上有 Menu 看,發現星期日也有 Lunch set 供應,所以在有限資源的情況下,改為食 Lunch ,價錢經濟少少,留返啲錢買禮物。而且人大了,太夜食飯不是太好,食得太飽,瞓覺時好容易胃酸倒流。Lunch menu 有 4 款選擇,( 估計是每星期不同 ) ,而每星期的 Lunch menu 之下,也有不同的選擇 , 例如牛 , 魚 , 豬 , 羊之類 ,一定有一款啱你心水 。Lunch set 的價錢比 Dinner 平 ,而且不用點 al la carte ,相對可以用一個經濟少少的價錢去用餐 ,每一個 Lunch set 由 $ 388 起,如果要選擇龍蝦湯就要另外加 $ 150 ,酒水另外加$ 138 有 free flow ,free flow 有紅酒 ,白酒 ,氣泡酒 ,啤酒 ,汽水 ,果汁 。如果在一間酒店內的意大利餐廳來說 ,這個算是十分合理的價錢 ,$ 138 已經可以任飲 ,雖然呢啲一定唔係好貴嘅酒,但係酒店嘅提供,應該都唔會太差。當日的Menu是倫巴底, 入去前已經諗了食什麼,我們分別也 Top up 了一個龍蝦湯 ,而我自己再加 $ 100 Top up 了牛扒 .   1. 頭盤選擇了意大利凍肉芝士拼盤 和 意大利海鮮沙律2. 主菜選擇 自家制意大利雲吞配豬肋肉 和 烤肉眼扒3. 甜品選擇 意式合歡花蛋糕 和 Tiramisu先說意大利凍肉芝士拼盤 ,因為一人的份量 ,得幾片cold cut 和生果 ,火腿有豐富的鹹香和油份,在有限的食材下 ,個擺盤叫做好靚下 ,但食落就無咩驚喜。而另一份是意大利海鮮沙律 ,有蝦 ,皇帝蟹腳 ,帶子等 ,Buffet 的質數 ,但作為頭盤份量也合適。食完頭盤就上湯 ,我們2個也轉了龍蝦湯 , 飲得出個湯好重龍蝦味 ,而且幾 creamy ,入面有少量的龍蝦肉 ,不會只有死鹹 ,但如果要另外加 $ 150 我就覺得不值。(我看到隔離台的蘑菇湯好似重正 )跟湯有一份麵包,呢個麵包絕對唔係配角,而是今餐嘅主角,非常之好食,小麥嘅香味,熱辣辣同埋配上意大利醋,簡直一絕。之後上主菜 ,先講件烤肉眼扒,一定不是什麼好的肉眼 ,無咩牛肉味 ,但有一份炭燒的香味 ,可能酒店嘅廚房爐頭比較好,所以整出嚟嘅食物都會好提升少少,肉質就比較乾身,如果肉眼扒肥多少少會好D ,始終呢件不是西冷。而另一份的主菜是自家制意大利雲吞配豬肋肉 ,太太落單時 ,以為是豬肋肉 ,原來是幾粒雲吞 ,入面的肉係豬肋肉,她食了一口 ,就說超級鹹 ,即刻吐返出嚟,不知咩事 。之後我也試了一口 ,的的確確好鬼死鹹 ,之後我們叫了個 waiter 說明 ,他二話不說就可以同我們換 ,但說雲吞入面的肉,是之前準備了 ,如果重新做的話也會差不多,建議我太太叫另外一個菜式 。(題外話, 唔係個個樓面都知道廚房的運作, 呢個同事可以好快咁指出問題,並作出建議,值得一讚)所以太太改了個野生深海活魚鷹嘴豆,後加的深海魚很快就上枱,我太太話魚皮煎得很香脆 ,魚很新鮮,有魚味 ,魚肉是一疏疏的 ,感覺好似食緊 COD,好食過之前的意大利雲吞好多。在我們用餐時 ,Waiter 不停同我們斟酒 ,而他在第一次斟酒時 ,有介紹到酒名 ,但我自己不識飲酒 ,所以不太明白 ,但見汽泡酒的泡好多下 ,而且可以 Keep 到一定的時間 ,聽人講好似係好野,而紅白酒我也飲了 2 杯 ,比較乾身,仲未計啤酒汽水果汁,如果喜歡飲酒的人一定要加錢 ,完全值得。最後Waiter 禮貌地問我們可以上甜品未 ,之後就上 2 個甜品 。因為早前我同餐廳講咗係慶祝20周年結婚紀念,所以喺意式合歡花蛋糕放了一個牌仔 ,賣相就一般 ,但味道是唔錯的,質感好得意,而Tiramisu 用杯裝出嚟,也好好食 ,咖啡和朱古力 balance得好好。食完個甜品後 ,原來仲有 2 杯飲品 ,分別點了咖啡和檸檬水 ,咖啡另外跟鮮奶和 4 粒朱古力。總結今日的午餐食得很開心 ,服務方面是超有 heart ,每個Waiter / Waitress  也盡心服務每一台客人 ,而且充滿笑容,酒店的服務始終有保証。食物方面就可以講係穩穩陣陣 ,可能個價單比較平 ,食材方面要作一個平衡。裝修方面 ,看得出有一段時間 ,但每一樣也 keep 得好好和整潔。希望下次有機會,試一試佢哋嘅晚餐。 continue reading

昨晚帶兩位視障好朋友去慶祝生辰, 訂位的時候我已經跟經理說有一隻🐶導盲犬, 入座前一小時經理打嚟confirm有什麼需要幫忙? 可作安排的🤩。而我們👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🐶的車到酒店門口落車,酒店已經有二位員工帶領我們入大堂內並安排我們一部𨋢 (很窩心)直接陪同我們到餐廳內入座。 經理👦有備而來,已經準備咗一張專為導盲犬的毛氈及一個水兜, 仲用一把好可愛的聲線問我們朋友的導盲犬想飲暖水定室温水?🤣🤣 而我們還以為是問我們想飲什麼🤭🤭 我們都搞錯了😝原來是問我們的導盲犬😅經理人品真好💯整體嚟講服務態度滿分,食物質素有小小要改善1. 北海道帶子過熟,邊位有點鞋口。2. 紅蝦也是過熟及太乾身, 但肉質及蝦膏還是可接受, 餘多加小小澱粉質🥔更佳😉因🦐🦐作為主菜,只有幾條沙律菜太孤零零了。3.他他欠缺口感,加好小量細洋蔥碎更佳及提味😅1 continue reading

作為一個窮人,如果想食啲貴價嘢,就一定要食lunch!性價比高好多!香港好食嘅意大利菜其實都有好多,但係我心目中嘅意大利菜除咗帝苑酒店嘅Sabatini,仲有九龍香格里拉嘅Angelini!對上一次食Angelini應該係十年前跟d老細嚟食果d節慶lunch,仲記得係平日嚟,個頭盤係buffet形式任食,再有個main course咁!今次突然間食嘅原因係上次Restaurant week book咗但冇去到,個心成日諗住諗住咁,咁就把心一橫book個lunch嚟自己食下!今日book咗12:30pm,去到餐廳都已經半滿,好在有book位啫!個侍應就帶咗我係條柱後面張枱坐,心諗咁樣遮住晒會唔會見唔到我Service得唔好㗎?但事實係我錯了!成個上菜嘅過程當中都serve得好好,一道接一道菜,時間掌握得好好,仲不斷問你有咩需要,直至上完咖啡茶,佢就會俾你安安靜靜咁喺度坐!今日叫咗個4 course lunch set,加埋一$427,完全係抵食同勁正!前菜我揀咗意式海鮮沙律,基本上係好似海鮮拼盤咁都唔係沙律嚟嘅,啲海鮮好新鮮,長腳蟹仲開咗半邊殼,你一挑出來就可以食到條蟹腳,d海鮮仲暖暖地,而佢個薯仔沙律唔同平時德國式嗰啲,佢係切粒嘅,好好食!啲麵包都好好食,我就最鍾意食嗰個香草包!湯就係蘑菇湯,佢唔似平時出邊咁樣搵啲蘑菇搞爛佢嘅湯會有一粒粒果種,佢係再搞到滑d咁嘅忌廉湯嘅感覺,個湯好濃菇味!主菜我就揀咗大蝦手做意粉,啲蝦好彈牙,手做意粉果然係手做意粉,佢會有新鮮麵食嗰種彈牙,同埋佢會吸收更多嘅醬汁!係呢一個係蕃茄汁大少少辣,好野味!甜品叫咗tiramisu,佢係用茶杯上,個cheese又滑個未勁creamy勁rich,再加埋入面果蛋糕,咖啡酒,好夾!最衰得一杯,你嚟多杯我都可以同你K.O.咗佢!最後就以一杯鮮奶咖啡作結,香濃!一個人就咁靜靜地睇吓手機,睇吓報紙,就咁享受左我嘅午餐! continue reading
