放工趕到，有人請食好野，不用看價錢，是開心的，大家都飽了，所以我自己叫自己野(以下所有食物自己吃光，不分享)餐牌簡單而優雅海膽刺身，是我近年吃過最好的，粒粒分明，沒有半顆是散開的，很甜很滿意很薄的炸粉，很好的食材，炸得很完美，無可挑剔海膽炸豆腐，海膽的數量比想像中多豆腐好吃，醬汁亦不錯最好的是海膽温度剛好，温熱卻不熟透叫了一客鵝肝，標準高級餐廳級數這和牛是最差的，5成熟，多筋又多渣，當香口膠咁咬牛舌，中規中矩吃過一客鵝肝後念念不忘帶子壽司鮮甜，鵝肝壽司的鵝肝也很大件(這才發現叫鵝肝壽司好像比叫一客鵝肝來得划算，呵呵........)還叫了一客蟹餅，忘了拍照，但好吃甜品，忘了是鹽味還是什麼淡藍色，不錯吃雖不用自己付錢，最後還是有看看自己叫了多少錢算過後自己吃掉了大約$1600隔離朋友偷偷地話: [我好似叫左$2000幾]我笑了，然後說了句[早知我都嗌多兩樣.......仲有d肚餓]我們是真的老實不客氣..........…Read More

今日，約蒲友及咖啡達人C飯聚，C提議去瑞安中心的錫池食日本菜。小妹一人先到，「錫池」兩字在一大幅淺色石紋的雲石牆上，旁邊垂直掛著一條斷開兩截的幼身黑木柱，下面則鋪有黑白石春，設計簡約質樸中見高雅穩重﹗然而，餐廳入口在哪呢？小妹左看右看前看後看上看下看，仍找不到入口，有點兒不知所措。管理員大叔遠處看見小妹的窘態，馬上走過來拔手相助 – 把手放於黑木柱中間位置，石門即時自動打開了。 嘩，仿如《亞里巴巴與四十大盜》中「芝麻開門」的魔法咒語般富戲劇性和趣味性。一步跨入石門，就巧如走進一個寧謐渾沌的世界 – 把煩囂留給石門之外﹗大門口前方是一個開放式廚房，左側是酒櫃，右側是用餐區。整體裝潢和擺設融合了中西日各家之長，和風味道不甚濃厚，予人高雅而舒適之感。店長熱情地招呼小妹，並逐一介紹 – 雲石來自意大利、原始木頭來自亞馬遜河、陶器來自台灣、花紋牆紙及日式紙簾趟門來自日本……太多太多，記不了太多﹗餐廳盡頭，以日式紙質透光趟門間了一間VIP房，玻璃窗把室外庭園之景盡收眼下，相映成趣﹗誠然，餐廳營造出極為寧靜而清雅的氣氛，讓食客於一頓飯的時間內卸下肩上的包袱，盡情置身於異度的逸靜空間裏。走高檔路線的錫池，晚餐動輒要千元一位，蠻昂貴的，絕非小妹可以負擔得起﹗ 幸而，午市提供了15款定食以供選擇，售價由$220至$300不等，包沙律、主菜、白飯、味噌湯、漬物、甜品和咖啡奶茶，以環境、服務及食物質素來說，定價都算合理。前菜有兩款沙律以供選擇，分別是煙雞肉凱撒沙律及柏爾馬火腿拼和風油醋田園沙律，我們各要了一款。侍應知道我們打算share食物，拎了兩隻瓷碟過來。煙雞肉凱撒沙律的羅馬生菜極為鮮爽甜，配合香脆可口麵包粒和芝味十足的芝士碎，再混合適量醬汁，清爽而不膩。不過，煙雞肉絲口感偏硬且嚡，毫不察覺有雞的味道，質感與富嚼勁的魷魚絲極為相似。柏爾馬火腿拼和風油醋田園沙律也蠻不錯的，味道清新醒胃而帶微微的鹹香﹗柏爾馬火腿的質感較為軟腍濕潤，與常見乾而硬的風乾火腿不大一樣，鹹香味也較為淡薄，少了一份厚實感。以瓷碗盛載的雜錦魚生壽司飯(細) $220，有八款刺身(每款兩三片)、蛋、辣薑片和蘿蔔絲，色彩鮮艷耀目，新鮮富光澤，貴精不貴多。刺身不負厚望，魚生很新鮮，有爽口、彈牙，也有入口即融的。帶子鮮甜嫩滑；厚切三文魚肥美豐腴；池魚質感扎實彈牙；海膽味道清甜、入口即化；鱆紅魚脂香濃郁、軟腍細滑；吞拿魚味道最濃郁，而鯛魚則味淡；甜蝦肉厚鮮甜而綿滑；煎蛋也富蛋香。圓潤的壽司飯水準中上，略為濕軟了少許。雖則餐廳附上豉油和芥末，但小妹喜歡吃新鮮原汁原味，故沒有蘸上。蘿蔔絲的作用是在吃不同魚生之中，放在嘴裏細嚼，用以清除味蕾上殘留的味道。刺身套餐還有麵豉湯和漬物，留待下文再評。店長頗為細心和慷慨，一客溫火焗三文魚 $220套餐送上了兩碗白飯，我們吃得十分飽滿。一小碟漬物有醃製的鮮爽黃蘿蔔、有渣滓的白蘿蔔和小段鮮淮山各兩件，的骰小巧；味噌湯味道濃淡得宜，有不少的海藻，加入了香蔥粒，味道更為香口而豐富。焗三文魚扒頗為碩大，淋上了以紅蘿蔔和柚子製的醬汁，細滑紅蓉中帶出鮮香的滋味，教人回味無窮、胃口大開﹗白瓷碟一側井然地擺放著烘雜菜如紅椒、黃椒、翠肉瓜、珍珠筍等七彩蔬菜，魚配雜菜，營養十分豐富而均衡也﹗溫火焗的三文魚內部似熟非熟，色澤較為紅潤，質感明顯較外層為濕潤而細嫩。一魚，內外口感卻不相同，蠻特別的﹗:)甜品有柚子、抹茶和芝麻雪糕可供挑選，我們要了後兩者。綠色和黑色雪糕置於印有雞泡魚的日式器皿內，格外特別有趣，也帶有日本的風情。兩款雪糕真材實料，香濃非常，吃罷，齒頰留香，帶有濃濃的抹茶和芝麻香。凍檸茶正常水準，稍嫌細杯了火許。C要的咖啡，嗅到香氣盈盈。…Read More

我和兩位同事在鍚池用午膳，餐廳環境幽美，近窗位置因間了房，所以關上門後，陽光便不能跑進來，但也舒適和寧靜。我點了雜錦魚生飯(HK$270)，另一同事則點了雜錦魚生壽司飯(HK$300)，雖只差三十蚊，後者原來正好多，除了在於白飯跟醋飯的分別外，還多了三文魚子，蝦也upgrade為牡丹蝦，所以下次要揀這個。另一同事唔食生嘢，所以問waiter，雜錦壽司可否改用全熟或火炙的toppings；我想，真刁鑽，但廚師好好人，竟一口話okay。除了主菜外，這些套餐還包含了沙律、雪糕和飲品。我們不約而同都選了parma ham green salad，ham好tender，菜也新鮮。然後，主菜上來了，不負所望，魚生很新鮮，有爽口的、彈牙的，也有入口溶化的，我最怕吃好似擦膠個種吞拿魚。接着，大家引頸以待的廚師特製的雜錦壽司終於出場了，登登登登，細看下，我立時想到煎釀三寶，有冬菇、天婦羅炸椒等，當然也少不了熟食的好幫手蛋壽司，最正的便只有鰻魚和熟蝦了，同事在旁不禁喟嘆，賴哂嘢，成兩舊幾水，無法啦，唯有照單全收。甜品，我們分別叫了柚子和綠茶雪糕，都甜咗ｄ。雖有小插曲，但整體而然，食物的質素是上佳，讚！…Read More

椐說這店口碑甚佳，特來一試，比較難找，致電查詢時職員親身出來迎接，服務態度和招呼都一流，坐下看一下餐牌，原來除了套餐外，其餘品種不多，主要刺身和壽司及丼為主。最終我們要了兩客據稱是懷石的套餐。雜錦刺身，基本上全部料都新鮮，但貨式就是一般普通貨式，無特別。火炙吞拿壽司，吞拿由火炙過，表面見半點香，入口油脂滿溢，食後魚油回甘留於口內歷久不散，是除咗親身到日本外，嘗到最美味的吞拿。車蝦鐵板燒，新鮮彈牙，師父掌握火喉到家，全隻蝦都剛剛熟，蘸上葡萄醋食，更感鮮甜，真是極品。雪魚卷，以煙閱包著雪魚再加上沙律味，原本味道不錯，可惜用筷子一動，內裏魚肉就散出來，要用刀叉切開煙肉自己重新包合入口，魚肉是嫩滑的，但煙肉未夠香，這樣一個菜式，在懷石料理中算是失敗。燉蛋，在燉蛋內放入一小件龍蝦，蛋入口算是嫩滑，但味道卻是偏咸。鐵板和牛卷，用薄和牛卷著香蔥等以鐵板燒方式做，蔥香反而覺和牛過了火，竟然有半點鞋的口感，真有點失望。紫蘇葉炒麵，麵質較淋，入口夠滑，返而有點糊，味道清香偏淡，也算可以。蜜瓜，非常清甜又淋得來有半點爽，是剛剛熟透的感覺，很好。整體來說，算是一餐味道不算差而服務上佳的晚餐，但以千多元—位而稱為懷石料理的一餐，則只可算是低水準的懷石料理。…Read More

There’s an understated elegance to Suzuike, from the subtle entrance (place your hand in between the pole at the entrance and the door will magically slide open), the simple yet polished decor, the well-spaced out tables to the clean color scheme. Everything is well thought out to provide a comfortable, relaxing dining experience.I haven’t been back to Suzuike for awhile and was excited to find that it’s the venue for L’s birthday dinner. The Sashimi Platter, it has a good selection of fresh sashimi, the portion was just right, the ebi sashimi was my favorite of the lot, it almost doesn’t require any biting and the natural sweetness was thirst quenchingNegitoro Roll – the buttery richness and sweetness of toro was well balanced by vinegar and scallions. The seaweed wrap was kept crispy and adds crunchy texture to the decadent roll.The Pan- Seared Scallop was slightly brown on the outside and raw and tender on the inside; the scallops were plump and juicy =)Deep Fried Amadai- I don’t touch fried food but L convinced me to try a small bite of it. The Amadai looks like a porcupine with the curled up scales, it’s deep fried till it’s crispy on the outside (the scales are edible), I had a tiny chunk of the flesh and was pleasantly surprised by how moist and light it was. I wouldn’t have known it was deep fried if it were a blind test Uni Chawanmushi- the subtle sweetness of the velvety uni adds flavor to custard like steamed egg; while the lightness of latter balanced the richness of UniThe White Truffle Somen- OMG! I had three plates of that, it’s my absolute favorite, the al dente (there’s bite to it) texture of somen, the intense aroma of truffle and the creaminess of the sauce just melts my heart. Just writing about it makes me want to go back to Suzuike, like right now!Other dishes that I like from my previous visits includesOne of the rarer dishes is the Tuna Kama Sushi, it’s bascially the cheek and collar of tuna. IF there’s a part of tuna that taste better than the prized toro (tuna belly), it’s the kama. Kama has equal amount of fat content as toro, so it’s very soft and melts in your mouth. But on top of that, it also has a higher concentrated, more robust flavor than the belly section. There is only a few pieces per fish and it’s rare for even an average sushi restaurant in japan to have that. Lucky for us, Suzuike does it well, the sushi is so juicy and literally melts in your mouth.Foie gras sushi ; Foie gras cooked to perfected with the sides pan fried and inside soft. Wagyu steak is flavorful and tender. The Kambachi & Botan Ebi Carpaccio with Italian White Truffle Oil & Sea Salt is one of my favorites, sea salt brings out the subtle sweetness of fresh sashimi and the truffle oil bring aroma and add depth to the dish.I like Suzuike for their food, ambience and excellent service! 今天是農曆年假前的最後一個工作日，特意相約三數好同事吃一頓團年午飯。錫池是其中一間我們想試良久的日菜，網上評分長期高企，多次預訂也不成功。今趟預早多於一星期訂枱，終於成功。餐廳位處瑞安中心一樓，雖然我們都到過同層鴻星酒家用膳多次，但亦不留意有此餐廳存在。上過扶手電梯後，需拐幾個彎，才看見其隱密門口，難怪多次到訪同層亦無發現。餐廳門外不見有接待櫃檯，半自動大門用上米白色石紋作裝飾，感覺簡潔高雅。開門入內後，左則有一排酒櫃，前方開放式廚房，右則用餐區，近窗位置拉上日式幕門後可作私人派對用途。整體裝潢雖和風味不濃，但感覺高雅舒適。午市定食由$220至$300不等，計及環境服務及食物質素，定價都算合理。今趟首次品嚐，一於決定選擇其雜錦刺身定食，以考驗其食材來貨質素及新鮮程度。前菜有兩款沙律供選擇，分別是燒雞肉凱撒沙律及柏爾馬火腿拼和風油醋田園沙律。選定後者入饌，田園沙律口味清新，輕輕放上少許酸香油醋調味，味道開胃可口。柏爾馬火腿較平日品嚐的較濕身軟腍，鹹香氣息相對上亦沒有那麼剛烈結實。接着來的是麵豉湯，味道濃淡得宜，特別之處在於加了少量香葱粒入內，喝起來特別香口。泡菜白飯跟主菜一起來，泡菜小巧三數塊，用作間場小吃剛好。白飯質感略為濕軟，份量不多，只得小半碗滿，不夠的話可免費再添吃。主角雜錦刺身，用金碟盛載，感覺亮眼奪目，有一份貴氣。刺身整體賣相新鮮富光澤，每款精緻三兩片，份量點到即止。款式方面，總共有＋款，以白身魚為主。池魚肉質結實彈牙，魚味濃郁度中等。深海池魚肉質明顯比池魚更實在更有咬口。相反，鱆紅魚脂香較重，口感相對池魚腍身滑口。鯛魚比起以上三款味道更淡，宜先吃。特別之處和麵豉湯一樣放入一小段香葱，香而不辣，配搭有新意。三文魚厚切挺肥美。吞拿魚更是眾多魚類刺身當中食味最濃的一款。選材已不是近腩的部份，質感仍然腍身敦厚。單看甜蝦蝦頭色澤已知刺身富水準，鮮甜味道亦無令人失望。帶子賣相圓潤，口感較預期實在有質感，同樣甜香美味。海膽味道清甜。赤貝亮點在其爽脆口感，入口「索索」聲，已值回票價。供刺身用的山葵屬即磨款式，味道更自然辛香。甜品可選豆腐或柚子雪糕。雪糕用印有雞泡魚的器皿盛載，份外有和風味道。柚子雪糕細滑度中規中矩，內含柚子小果粒，份用有咬口及果香。定食附上餐飲一杯，以日式料理來說，那杯熱咖啡的香度口感已勝預期，能為整頓飯作一完美終結。最後一談服務，各店員皆幾有禮貌，對餐廳食材有足夠認識，服務到位，評分不俗！…Read More

Recommended by many friends, we finally decided to go here to try. From the moment we arrived, we felt we should have come earlier! Place is chic and we love the quiet and spacious atmosphere and decor. The service was impeccable. Informative, timely, and unobtrusive.I ordered California roll. The food presentation was lovely and it was, quite possibly, the best California roll I've ever had. The avocado was so buttery and perfect!My boyfriend got Tempura noodles, which he loved. The pot of inakawa udon and veggies was piping hot, and it was served with a really generous serving of prawns, pumpkin and sweet potatos.The freshly made dessert of the day sounded boring, green tea cake with red bean. But it was incredibly moist, and the cream was light and fluffy...what a lovely surprise!It says a lot when we have such an overall great experience at a place, that we give them 5 for all categories. Another hidden treasure we came upon with as we explore the neighborhood around our new apartment in Wan Chai near the Convention Center! Suzuike is located in the mall in a quiet corner with a sleek and subtle entrance. I have a growing fondness for quiet and subtle restaurant nowadays as it seems that these restaurants tend to put more focus on what's important - the FOOD! obviously and often also the experience for the customer. Well I must admit that I sometimes enjoy the glitz and glam of a fancy upscale and sometimes slightly pretentious restaurant but then a casual dining experience is often more enjoyable especially when you just want to enjoy a good meal without having to worry about using the right fork for the dish! Anyways, so back to Suzuike.... we went for lunch on a Saturday and the restaurant was rather empty, there were only us and 1 other table. There's also a private room with a nice view of the outside streets layered with greens from the trees right outside (restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the mall so it's not high up!) The decor is nothing to write home about but it is simple, chic and sleek. They offer various lunch set featuring Sashimi set, Sushi set, Wagyu Beef Terriyaki, Beef Udon set, etc. Slightly on the expensive side (Sashimi set was around $250, and Beef was 150+) but it is justified by its high quality and reasonable portion. I ordered the Sashimi set and there's not one piece on my plate that doesn't leave me wanting more! Everything was super fresh and tasty! My hubby ordered the Wagyu beef terriyaki and requested for it to be medium rare and it was cooked to perfection! Beef was flavoursome and tender with a perfectly pink/red center! Friends who have been to Suzuike have all highly recommended the Truffle Somen but we were not hungry enough to order on top of our lunch set, so we will just have to go back to another visit and we are looking forward to the experience!The staff were friendly and attentive without being annoying (nothing worse than that!). I had made a reservation a week before going with my friend, we are so surprised they arrange a private room to us (thank you)The lunch set is around $150-250, so we ordered mini chirashi sushi ($180) and Angus beef steak set ($240), they all served with salad, miso soup. But yet, a manager recommended us to try a plate of assorted sashimi, it was really good, everything is very fresh on the plate, we finished it all within 1min!!My mini chirashi sushi came, it was so beautiful!!! The grapefruit dressing is matching with chopped sashimi and rice are prefect!
