今晚選擇去富來食個簡單晚飯,我order咗粟米石斑飯同西炒飯,伙記提議我另選招牌炒飯,我知招牌炒飯價錢貴好多,同埋我想食茄汁味道嘅飯,所以禮貌地拒絕咗,伙記落完單後,再次提議我order例湯飲,但係其實我不太肚餓(到最後我仲剩咗一整盒西炒飯打包返歸),所以亦禮貌地拒絕咗。到上菜時,除咗西炒飯,仲上咗一碟粟米石斑(小菜,冇白飯)俾我,我當然同佢理論啦,但個伙記非常堅持我係order粟米石斑冇個飯字嘅,佢問我收唔收貨,我話小菜貴好多喎,伙記話貴廿蚊啫(正確係貴廿幾蚊),我心諗,廿蚊唔係錢呀?仲要冇白飯,order個白飯咪再俾多十蚊你賺?我好老實同佢講,你一係就送碗白飯俾我,如果唔係我唔要碟石斑啦,你哋自己食埋佢啦,最後個伙記送咗碗白飯俾我,但係餐飯我已經一肚氣食唔落。好味道嘅話我一定會再幫襯,但係你要用呢啲手段去搵錢,我對富來嘅名譽失晒信心......喺跑馬地我以後都唔會再幫襯富來!

朋友介紹來食家常小炒,跑馬地俾我印象都幾遠。原來在銅鑼灣搭小巴5分鐘左右就到,都ok. 講番正題,食野。由於當日蒸蟶子賣晒,店員推介了蒜蓉粉絲蒸茄子, 整到白雪雪,又係蔬菜類,食落好諗身,加埋蒜蓉味,真係好清同juices.咕嚕肉及秘制雞,太趕,太好味道忘拍近照,個咕嚕肉真係有脆身,不是硬石頭,個汁唔太多,掛得剛好,不會一pat pat, 秘制雞如果可以再辣D就好。避風塘炒蟹,小辣已經好辣,內有很多小小的指天椒,一食中招,不過堅野味。D碎加少少在茄子,更好味。個菜煲用啫啫煲上夠鑊氣,上台還是脆綠色。外表唔靚,不過幾爽口的煎年藕餅,小食多滋味,因為都幾熱氣的。

There are the odd gems near my home but most of them aren't all that great. Or they started really good but then probably due to high rent in the area, they either close down or just cut costs and quality decreases. So, one one hot summer evening, when I was much too tired to cook, we tried a place he wanted to try out and honestly, I had not tried.

It's basically a very local restaurant that serves various Cantonese dishes. Menu is in Chinese only. There is no English. Layout is like a cha chan teng. Boyfriend wanted to eat what was recommended on social media so this is what we ordered.

Sweet and Sour Pork ($88). Portion size wasn't very big but this was actually pretty good. The coating was crispy and the amount of coating wasn't so thick that it felt like I was eating fried flour. The pork was moist and not dried out. The balance of sweet and sour was alright though a bit bordering more on the sweet side. There was a lot of maltose used so it was stringy and sticky when picked up with your chopsticks. Usually most places use pineapple (or some sort of canned fruit) but this place used pickled pearl onions. Boyfriend loved this and chewed on them happily.

Signature Fried Rice ($88). This was also recommended by social media and we noted it was mentioned on all the magazine clippings posted all over the walls. Personally, I didn't like it at all. It was not only unseasoned but oily. There was nothing but just rice, spring onions and egg. Nothing else. They also added bits of crunchy rice that you find at the bottom of pans. There was so much of it, it was crunchy bits in every mouthful. I know a lot of people love that crunchy bottom bits of rice but me? I dislike eating that part the most. So, eating this was not a lot of joy for me.

We ordered two glasses of ice lemon tea that had so much ice, I couldn't even poke at the lemons. For this, we paide $212. Honestly ... for this setting, it was a bit over priced. It's ok if you live in the area and too lazy to cook that night (as I saw everyone that ate here also lived in the area). But if you don't live here, it's really not worth your while to take that extra trip in.

在銅鑼灣shopping 完撞正,等位時間1-1.5小時,於是兩口子上網search下附近有咩食。剛剛見到推薦古嚕肉,反正要等去下平時唔會去的地區,決定浪漫一下搭叮叮出發去。總站行去要5分鐘,很來店員告訴我們在CWB蘋果商場門口有30號小巴(循環線),可以在跑馬地郵政局下車,行幾步就到。說回食物先,個咕嚕肉堅拔絲,不是平時硬掘掘油油的。這個很鬆化。兩人炒飯未到已經食了半碟。個汁掛得剛好,不會一pat pat, 堅正。炸豆腐,看來平平無期很普通,但內裡很滑,一件一件好整齊,不過兩人食一碟,食唔晒有點流。表面有一點很少的七味粉,少少香辣味。小菜算有心機同注意細節。招牌炒飯,也是值得一提,食入口脆脆,chuch, 炒得不油,幾乾身。如蛋白炒飯進化版,我很喜歡。總算不枉專登到這裡一遊。*沒有加一很好。

比起咕嚕肉我更加愛這一道蜜椒合桃牛柳粒。蜜糖合桃是炒好了牛肉之後才撒到碟子邊上的, 雖然一開始覺多此一舉, 但吃幾粒牛肉之後再挾粒甜甜脆脆的合桃吃, 感覺卻是很不錯。牛肉切粒狀, 沒有牛騷味, 彈彈的有點咬口但不會硬, 配爽口的翠玉瓜, 脆口的合桃, 口感分三個層次, 很是有趣。

這個海鮮粉絲什菜煲也是意外之喜。本來不過想叫個粉絲蒸勝瓜, 但當天竟然沒有勝瓜! 把菜牌翻了一遍就找到了這個有粉絲又有菜的菜式。沒想到魚湯湯底極鮮甜, 沒有一絲腥氣, 忍不住飲了一碗又一碗。若果有白飯在手加點湯自製成湯飯, 應該滋味更甚! 配菜的魚塊也很不錯, 彈牙爽口不會「霉」, 感覺新鮮; 另有蝦和魷魚, 量不算太多。此煲的主角必定是魚湯無疑。

胃納無限大, 再來一個冬菇土魷蒸肉餅。好足料的肉餅啊, 而且口感甚佳。豬肉打至起膠才蒸, 所以肉餅很彈牙爽口, 不會一挾就散開。肥瘦比例均勻, 有恰到好處的油脂香味, 卻不至於滯膩。冬菇土魷切碎混在豬肉之中, 更增口感。非常家常的一道小菜, 但富來的味道絕對是水準以上, 好吃。

吃小菜小炒的時候其實最好叫一碗白飯去配餸, 不過今次來到富來卻捨棄白飯, 為的就是這個招牌炒飯! 這個炒飯的材料看上去沒有特別, 但一吃之下就真的是驚為天人: 炒飯也可以如此好吃! 有鑊氣、夠香夠熱只是基本, 此飯之中加入了飯焦, 口感酥酥脆脆的, 卻絕對不乾不硬, 十萬個好吃!

一餐下來滿足得不得了, 也覺得此店必需納入心水餐廳之列! 下次想, 真想再次encore咕嚕肉、粉絲煲、招牌炒飯! 還有很多別的菜想試呢!

 
Other Info. : 前往方式也不難, 搭城巴1號或19號前往跑馬地, 在「昇平樓」站下車, 沿昇平路上斜路, 走幾步就是了!
