Located in Wan Chai Market, Chung Kee serves authentic Hong Kong dai pai dong street food. The setting is bustling and lively, with a charmingly chaotic vibe that’s part of its local appeal. While the air conditioning struggles to keep up with the heat, the quality of the food makes up for it.I ordered a bowl of oyster congee, which came in a surprisingly large portion, generously studded with tiny fresh oysters that added a briny richness to the comforting rice porridge. The crispy fried chicken, served as a half portion, was beautifully golden and crackling on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside—a satisfying contrast to the soft congee.

煎炸炒燉煮🍳中餐比較啱我口味。行行下灣仔，中記都好耐未食過。😋又係同班friend出黎回下味。🦀 🦀炒蟹上枱睇炒蟹份量麻麻地。蟹膏量尚可。開咗四件啱好夠食。蟹肉夠鮮😋生鮮先夠生猛。殼脆口，鹹香味十足。🦑🦑 椒鹽九肚魚+椒鹽鮮魷酥口，菜枱時仲係比較新鮮熱辣。肉滑滑地，蒜味香口夠嗮味。椒鹽味突出，鮮魷同理。🥩 🥩 薯角黑椒牛肉薯仔炸脆之後香到極致👍。牛肉同樣肉味濃，且唔乾身依舊有油水。炒出嘅汁+薯仔+牛味😋真係可以餸一大碗飯。

過咗哩排條氣順返D，好耐未出黎食飯就睇好去中記。都係趁人唔多之時book住先。等人到齊直接有得坐。🍲【酸菜豬肚】東北嘅friend試咗一啖佢話好正宗，個菜嘅size都係夠大份。我未食過正宗嘅東北酸菜不過係酸味夠力，肉都係煮入酸汁味就好爽口。似三文魚淋檸檬汁嘅爽口feel超好餸飯。🍲【水煮毛血旺】我食唔慣，唔好評價。鹹香辣味道都有，只係食唔慣。🦃【芝麻雞】香，芝麻嘅香真係覺。肉唔柴仲留返雞味，芝麻煎嘅面皮真係香到難形容，不過真係好熱氣。🍽️【炒青苗】青口爽脆，新鮮惹味。唔食蔬菜食中餐係冇feel嘅。最後食飽咗陸續人愈來愈多，所以幾個人上樓食飯最好都係先過個人book位先唔使等咁耐。

星期日想在灣仔找個平價又快速的午餐，英記卻休息了，於是來到了位於駱克道街市的中記。一份炒牛河連凍飲，只需$36，是個經濟實惠的選擇。中記的炒牛河份量十足，河粉炒得油亮入味，牛肉片也給得大方。雖然不是什麼精緻料理，但鑊氣十足，味道也算不錯，足以滿足簡單的午餐需求。搭配一杯冰涼的凍飲，更是消暑解渴。對於追求快速、實惠的食客來說，中記的炒牛河無疑是個不錯的選擇。雖然環境比較簡樸，但味道和價格都相當親民，是在灣仔街市裡解決一餐的好去處。下次如果想在灣仔找個平價的午餐，不妨考慮一下中記的炒牛河。
