適逢初二佳節,我與友人在登過大老高山後都深感飢餓,知道又一城Page One Cafe在個多月前已重新開啟,並以最近興起的連鎖花店Moss McBlack作主題,便跳上小巴從慈雲山奔至九龍塘。剛看過山上的藍天白雲,此時又可以觀看花店門前的各色玫瑰鮮花,實在賞心悅目。走進店內時必經這道鮮花牆,像驟然進入了Miss Dior香水廣告,想起了Natalie Portman的鮮花粉紅長裙和Blooming Bouquet,想起了Miss Dior那份少女茉莉甜。大家若對Moss McBlack有點認識,應該知道Moss McBlack的小王子玫瑰花瓶系列非常有名氣,有不同顏色的玫瑰作主題,但價值也不菲,HKD1280一個。情人節將到,若同樣價值,大家會希望收到Pandora的飾物還是 Moss McBlack的小王子玫瑰?個人會喜歡後者;)每張桌上都會放一個花瓶,不知道這花是真還是假?特愛咖啡店裡這小小角落。牆上的掛畫寫著Happiness is sharing. Savour the moment. 咖啡店內罕有地沒有背景音樂,顯得格外寧靜,有數位顧客也拿起一本書在看,多說一句話也有點怪怪、像騷擾別人的感覺。對面是一個放著不同茶壺的櫃,甚有格調。傍晚六時半的年初二,其實也蠻多人,工作的工作,看書的看書,吃甜品的吃甜品,各有節目。看一看餐牌,其實食物的選擇也蠻多的,這兒的甜品很昂貴呀,差不多要一百元一客,正餐的價錢則合理一點,一百左右有一個意粉或漢堡,若多點一個前菜跟朋友分享則百五元左右可以埋單,但若多點一杯飲料便不止這價錢了。我對牛油果蟹肉脆餅伴紅桑子油醋汁和香草牛油田螺焗釀磨菇都很感興趣呢!看見餐牌上有薰衣草焦糖燉蛋(HKD78),雖然價錢偏高,但這又令人回想起法國香水首都Grasse的意境,也就二話不說點了。正如背景文字,People who love to eat are always the best people. 但,這不代表咖啡店可以欺負好人......這薰衣草焦糖燉蛋也未免太小了吧?!吃了數口,焦糖面中的確有淡淡的薰衣草味道,不怕太甜。然而,燉蛋主體卻很敗筆,一點也不滑溜,細看蛋身,有多個氣孔,吃起來有點像自己在Cooking Lab的試驗品......第一道上來的甜品令人大失所望,幸而咖啡店門前擺賣的慕絲(HKD38)值回票價。女店員說荔枝玫瑰慕絲是最受歡迎的味道,單看外表已經很吸引了,粉紅閃閃,很適合少女享用。不過,只把荔枝玫瑰慕絲放在空空如也的大碟上好像有點乏味,若有多一點的花瓣點綴便錦上添花了。把慕絲切開,很清楚便能見到帶荔枝味的蛋糕和玫瑰慕絲。這慕絲之特別之處不只是那閃閃令的表面,還有那啫喱般的外皮口感。若要以科學術語形容,這是Spherification其中一環,要做到Gel-making,其中必要的材料包括Sodium Alginate。(題外話:又想起了當年Science and Cooking的畢業之作﹣朱古力魚子......Spherification真的是世界潮流。)味道方面,我覺得荔枝味較玫瑰重,但也非常清新,一點也不怕過甜,值得推介!吃得興起,我們又任性地點了牛油果軟殼蟹漢堡(HKD98),只看賣相便覺得漢堡非常覇氣,兩大隻軟殼蟹仿佛在告訴你:「我並非軟殼。」軟殼蟹並非只是「好駛不好用」,內在實力非凡,我還是第一次在街外吃軟殼蟹時吃到蟹膏!來一張Closeup,蟹膏和蟹肉爭妍鬥麗,不得了。牛油果也交足功課,已到成熟時候,不怕太生太硬。麵包也新鮮軟熟。如無意外,這牛油果軟殼蟹漢堡成為了我們的至愛。既然已任性地多點了主菜,我們繼續任性多點朱古力流心布甸伴玫瑰花雪糕(HKD98)。甜品一上,心太軟的朱古力已源源不絕地流出,是名符其實的火山岩漿,真後悔沒有為它拍下影片,九十八元,值得的。不夠數分鐘,岩漿已流出一大半。這朱古力岩漿的味道似乎輕微混合了焦糖味道,並非平時吃到的黑朱古力之濃烈味道,可能是受朱古力品種的影響吧。雪糕為雲呢嗱味道,玫瑰味來自於雪糕上的玫瑰味(果肉?),朋友以為雪糕也是玫瑰味,對雲呢嗱味道有點失望,我覺得還好。反而,我在想,若把薰衣草焦糖味道混入流心朱古力或雪糕中,效果應該會很不錯。記得在法國尼斯也試過薰衣草雪糕,要在搬紙過字在香港起家,也應該不太難?臨走前,再看看咖啡店內的甜品櫃,原來Moss McBlack也有售賣馬卡龍,下次要認真試試呢。慕絲甜品則一個個五顏六色呈現眼前,在我眼中,這是一個個閃令令的星球,看見櫃裡並未標明甜品名字,可否就把它稱作小王子星球系列的甜品?我又按捺不住,多買了兩件慕絲回家給家中兩老品嘗。老太對野莓慕絲讚不絕口,說吃起來像吃鮮果肉,很特別。我覺得綠茶慕絲也不錯,中間夾了紅豆,Moss McBlack有意令整個慕絲變得和風系。不過,綠茶味道經Spherification後,總變得有點不同。忽發奇想,奇異果/蜜瓜慕絲應該會比綠茶慕絲更清新、更特別。…Read More
