明天就出發去東莞旅遊,出發前都要與友人聚餐食下飯,天氣那麼悶熱,胃口都是一般,最好就是食一些香辣的食物,因為香辣的食物可以令人開胃一些,突然腦海中想起食泰國菜,想起泰國菜又會聯想到九龍城,因此我們即興地出發到九龍城了。在九龍城泰國餐廳真是不少選擇,路經了幾間,友人提議去這間「金寶泰國菜館」,因為又方便她在餐龐門外泊車,餐廳的選擇除了泰國菜之外,又有越南菜的選擇,食物多元化真是非常吸引了!門外放了不少彩色的餐牌,介紹了不少餐廳的招牌菜,例如有咖喱蟹、泰燒等.....看到這些相片都已經令人垂涎三尺。餐廳中除了餐牌之外,還有食物的點菜紙選擇,列明各款食物,一目了然都很方便。餐廳環境都好簡約,膝椅、膝屏風總總的傢俱帶有樸素風,牆上還有泰王的掛畫及飾物,感覺猶如置身當地地道餐廳一樣。天氣都幾熱,餐前先點些飲品,分別有椰青($32)及青檸七喜($25),榔青都夠大個,椰青水都好多,冰涼又清甜,另外友人都好滿意自己點的飲品,她大讚杯青檸七喜都有好足的鮮青檸,味道都好天然清香檸檬酸香,同時有七喜的甜味中和檸檬的酸度,感覺讓人清爽,冰涼透心,兩者果然是最佳的配搭。頭盤先來一份活蝦刺身($85),活蝦刺身都夠冰涼新鮮,肉質都好爽口彈牙,以蒜頭、指天椒、檸檬汁、魚露調製醬汁鋪在活蝦上,放一件入口,充滿了甜酸辣香的滋味,令人十分開胃。泰式的特色食物真是很多,每款的食物都好想點一些,可惜兩人的食量有限,都是眼寬肚窄,不如點一個泰式拚盤(細)($95),拚盤上的食物有4款,每款都有兩件,真是好適合二人的份量,當中有炸蝦餅、蝦春卷、沙爹串燒及泰式香葉包雞。蝦餅炸至金黃色澤,火喉控制剛好,啖啖蝦腸蝦味濃郁,即炸即吃真是好香脆,再沽上甜酸泰式醬汁真是倍感滋味。沙爹串燒有三條,分別有豬肉及雞肉,我選擇了雞肉串燒,咬下仍有肉汁,烤得都好香,雞肉都嫩滑,再蘸上惹味的沙爹汁真是錦上添花。蝦春卷蝦味十分香濃,咬下香脆鬆化,再食埋香葉包雞,雞肉帶有班蘭葉的清香味,香濃的雞塊帶點香甜的味道,味道都不錯。食泰國菜總要食點咖喱,友人今次點了一份椰汁青咖喱(雞)($60),咖喱的椰汁味果然夠香濃,辣度比較輕一點,雞肉都好香滑入味,咖喱汁濃稠適中,味道較鮮美清爽,令人大開脾胃。蒜茸包用了法式的軟包來製作,質感外脆內鬆軟,具濃厚的蒜香及牛油香氣,包面有微微焦香,再蘸上香甜的青咖喱汁,真是非常惹味!服務都不錯而且都好有效率,食物水準很好價錢都好平民化又抵食,值得再來。…Read More

雖然知道九龍城有很多美食,但由於沒有地鐵到,之前久不久才會來這裡尋食,但新公司就在九龍城附近,正所謂「咁近城皇廟冇理由唔求返枝好簽」,所以來這裡的機會也自然多了。是日周五晚上,星仔專程來接我放工,順便到九龍城晚飯。******************金寶對於香港人應該不會陌生,它幾乎是泰國菜的代名詞,雖然之前在九龍城都光顧過幾間泰菜店,但金寶卻不在此例,故今夜就想拜訪這間泰菜老店。金寶沒有花巧的裝潢,桌椅都是八九十年代泰菜店常見的虅製,牆壁上以食客的簽名來代替牆紙。活蝦刺身($85)每次食泰國菜我都必定點泰式生蝦,因為最喜歡那種酸酸辣辣的味道。這活蝦刺身雖然沒有墊上冰塊,但蝦肉一樣夠凍,肉質爽彈,酸香中亦辣度亦夠,非常刺激過癮。泰式明爐蒸烏頭($150)冬陰功湯也是必點之一,但有時候如果人少我會點明爐蒸烏頭蒸烏頭代替,因為可以當主菜又可以當湯飲。烏頭放在魚形的鐵爐上,爐下有左右兩個出火位,火力更平均。隨鐵爐同上的,還有一小碗泰式酸辣湯,可以在需要時在爐內加湯。烏頭上鋪上蘿蔔絲、包心菜、芫荽和香茅,酸香味隨青煙緩緩飄入鼻腔中。魚肉吸滿湯汁的酸辣味,非常醒胃,但美中不足是魚肉有點過了火喉。椰汁冰($25)椰汁冰椰汁味重,最適合用來解辣。近年香港的食店趨向精品化,裝潢要有格調,食物賣相也要精緻,所謂「唔食得都睇得」,這樣也可以索更高的價錢。但九龍城的食店卻依然故我,你可以說堅持把心力都花在維持食物的水準上叫做老土,但我卻說金寶是寶刀未老。…Read More
