We stumbled upon this restaurant after a hike from Aberdeen Reservoir on a Sunday afternoon. Outside the window you can see two chefs making dumplings! The staff were sharing fruits amongst each other so it seems like they are a big loving family! Upon being seated we were offered free hot tea, the menu looked very big for a small restaurant that properly seats 40ish pax! We order our usual Shanghainese favourites, including 小籠包,鍋貼,蒸素餃,饅頭,排骨麵,lastly, we ordered a 砂鍋津白.The flavour of the xiao long bao was great but lacks some soup! Steam dumplings were very nice with strong flavours of sesame oil! Fried dumplings, steamed/fried bun was a big hit with the kids! The fried pork was juicy and golden! And lastly the soup pot was so very big with a lot of meat/ham/chicken gizzards, I think it was definitely value for money, the soup tasted nice, the meat inside was a bit bland, maybe its 湯渣 that we are not suppose to eat?!?! 😌Also, we had a home made soy drink that was very refreshing and delicious! 趁住港島南線開通和1月2日新年假期, 一行4人決定去出遊, 當日假期的港島南線沒有想像中的多人搭乘, 下午遊到利東站行行鴨脷洲大街, 見到人氣小食店'食記餐店'連外賣都大排長龍大家慌死執書係都試埋一份, 食了魚肉翅, 炸魚旦和炸燒賣, 老實說普普通通. 黃昏時坐街渡往香港仔, 再走到香港仔舊街的上海天龍樓, 6:30 已經全店爆滿 4人等了20分鐘才可入座, 店內四周環境絕對是70~80年代你我屋企附近總會有的街坊上海店格局. 4個大食怪點了: -油炆筍 - 筍嫩醬油香, 掂咸腎 - 普通, 咪就係唔夠咸香囉 !醉雞 - 花雕香撲鼻而至, 雞肉入口嫩滑充滿酒香, 好吃小籠包 - 絕對要食真係好好食, 需要包汁不太多但皮簿餡靚, 吃到豬肉的甜味, 我肯定店家不是用冰鮮肉炒鱔鰗 - 店員會問要韮王或是芽菜炒 ! 選了韮王炒, 老實講買相真係唔多靚, 但一入口就完全是上海老風味濃油赤醬, 絕對令我回憶起以前的街坊上海店的味道. 反而係現在的黃鱔都飼養到大大條粗到似條蛇, 但入口肉卻是腍的, 早已吃不回以前黃鱔的爽脆感京蔥爆羊肉 - 吃不到半點羊膻味, 而且羊肉可能用泡打粉醃製過, 入口鬆泡泡的, 全晚唯一的失敗上海粗炒 - 兒時去上海店大人一定會點上海粗炒, 因為夠飽肚又大碟, 天龍樓的粗炒又真係令我吃回兒時粗炒的味道, 上海麵夠硬身, 多多椰菜少少肉, 油水足醬油多, 總知就好好味啦酸辣湯 - 豬紅絲, 蛋花,筍絲, 豆腐絲, 木耳絲, 冬菇絲和肉絲絕對足料, 酸辣道適中, 朋友不吃辣的也說好吃最後點了豆沙鍋餅 - 熱辣辣的鍋餅外皮簿而內裡豆沙厚厚的, 豆沙濃而滑, 話好飽好飽咪又係轉眼掃光吃了咁多嘢連豆漿.菜飯才 $620, 突然感覺像回到香港快樂的80年代, 在現今的多事年代祗希望這些老小店能續繼存在下去.…Read More

假日經常去謝記魚蛋食嘢, 但都無留意到佢隔離過幾間舖有間不起眼嘅上海小店, 前排見到Open Rice嘅食家對此食店評語唔錯, 所以就嚟試吓啦!2個人Order 咗4樣嘢:1. 肉絲炒年糕 ($42) – 用嘅年糕唔靚, 太”林”,而且有d黏口! 自己比較鍾意食上海水晶年糕。 D年糕有落老抽炒, 但調味略淡, 未能符合上海菜嘅味道! 但配料 (肉絲, 椰菜, 冬菇絲) 同埋煱氣都算ok, 整體亦屬勉強合格。2. 上湯菜肉雲吞 ($28) – 雲吞皮屬一般貨色, 口感一般。 饀料味道唔夠濃, 而且份量太少。 即係皮太多, 肉太少! 但有上海人包雲吞嘅住家feel! 3. 鍋貼 ($16) – 頗香口, 皮同埋餡味道幾好, 但內裡嘅油多咗d!4. 上海小籠包 ($37) – 賣相並不討好, 但食落有驚喜! 外形細細粒, 容易食! 皮唔算好薄 (傳統上海風味嘅小籠賣點並唔係皮薄), 但餡料味道好濃郁, d肉汁好鮮! 熱燙燙嘅湯配合鮮味嘅肉, 剛好一口一個! 好好食! 感覺有d似上海城隍廟的百年老字號南翔饅頭店的南翔小籠包 (我指嘅係地下外賣部嗰層d貨色!)估唔到响呢間上海小店會食到A貨嘅上海城隍廟小籠包2個人埋單$123, 全日免加一。…Read More
