來開上環,今日(15/6/2020)特意來蓮香居飲吓懷舊茶,今次是第一次幫襯,是聽朋友介紹這酒家還用傳統推實車仔賣點心。十點多來到,不用等位,自己搵位,酒家環境真係好舊式,特別是張枱,好特別,中間有一層可放餐牌及洗餐具既碗。懷舊,當然點傳統點心,見食評,選了蝦餃、燒賣、叉燒包及蓮蓉包,另選了咸水角及牛肉腸粉,全部點心都好足料,二個人,食六個點心已足夠,原想食大包都食唔落。燒賣好食,好實心,蝦餃內有三隻中蝦加筍絲,蓮蓉包內有咸蛋黃,咸蛋黃中和咗蓮蓉既甜味,都好食,其他點心都可以。有機會會再來,再試吓點心。…Read More

「叉燒包、燒賣、牛肉球…」,小時候到茶樓飲茶總會見到有嬸嬸推車仔叫賣,當有車仔經過時我和妹妹都會用「金睛火眼」盯著車仔前面的字牌。可惜不知從何時起這種舊式茶樓買少見少,傳統推車仔逐漸被點單紙取代…:(最近因工作關係閱讀了很多舊式茶樓的資料,頓時萌起到舊式茶樓重溫小時候畫面的念頭,趁星期六放假便決定到上環的蓮香居飲茶!:)我和baka從港鐵上環站走路到蓮香居,需時約10-15分鐘,烈日當天下還未到達茶樓已經汗流浹背了。蓮香居的設計古色古香,果然是傳統老店!:)地下售賣包點類,而二和三樓則是茶樓,我們到了三樓飲茶。甫到三樓店員叔叔便指示我們和其他人搭枱,環境頗為擠迫,而食客以上了年紀的男女和遊客為主。茶水點了普洱滾水。很久沒有見過這種吸印紙了,很懷念!:)在蓮香居吃點心就有點像等運到,因為要看有什麼車仔經過和當天有什麼點心,我們不知道實際推出點心車的時間,見到想吃就不能猶豫了!不過首先經過的車仔都是炸、飯類居多,一心想吃點心的我倆決定靜候一下。終於給我們等到叉燒包了。我很喜歡吃這種傳統的叉燒包,一人一件,蒸得熱辣的白皮很鬆軟,叉燒味道濃郁,不錯。:)然後是每次上茶樓必吃的燒賣,雖然燒賣有點小巧,但咬下去啖啖肉,質感彈牙,比想像中出色和有驚喜。見到有腸粉車仔經過,baka即刻上前拿,已不太記得是牛肉還是叉燒腸了。腸粉皮太厚,幾乎吃不到餡料的味道。:(baka點了一款豬內臟的點心,因為自己不吃內臟的關係,幾乎都交由baka處理了。不過我也在baka「游說」下試了一點,果然不對口味,很強烈的腥味和過於油膩。其實已經吃到很飽,但看到煎堆仔還是按耐不住拿了一碟,煎堆仔並不像平時的煎堆,很渾圓大顆。咬開才發現原來是奶皇煎堆仔,除了口感較煙韌,其實味道很像奶皇包。:)很香濃的奶味,不過配搭煎堆仔則覺得不太合襯,下次還是吃回傳統奶皇包。在蓮香居,每當有點心車經過,食客都很留意叫賣哪種食物,若是人氣的如燒賣等點心便會一窩蜂上前,場面有趣。:)原打算坐多一會便離開食店,但在離開前竟然見到有名的馬拉糕車仔經過!因為不知下次再來是何時,我和baka當然不想錯過這個難得的機會。:)馬拉糕不算我特別喜歡的點心,但蓮香居的馬拉糕很鬆軟,就像海綿般,淡淡的黑糖味吃下去很舒服,名不虛傳。:)蓮香居的包點看起來很吸引,這個奶皇菠蘿包是想試的其中一款,可惜當天已經太飽,我們又只有兩張口,唯有下次再試吧。雖然環境很擠迫不能慢慢吃,但能重歷小時候的一點一滴看到推車仔,總覺得不枉前行。:)加上點心味道不俗,價錢相宜,值得相約家中長輩來走一次懷舊食旅!…Read More

復活節假期的第1天, 早上9時許, 蓮香居已坐滿客人...這裡不像蓮香樓充斥著本地人與來自世界各地的遊客..茶客以年長的本地人的居多, 是附近的老街坊吧?點了幾款點心, 可惜最想吃的蛋黃千層糕..這店是沒有供應的...:(又要多走一轉去蓮香樓買..1. 蜜汁叉燒包 (中點) $15 (2 個)叉燒餡切得比較碎, 幸而份量算多..味道一般啦...2. 麻茸包 (小點) $13 (3 個)上次在蓮香樓已吃過這包子, 這裡賣的好像稍微細個, 但味道沒分別, 麻茸餡依舊好味又唔油膩..:)3. 魚翅餃 (中點) $15 (4 隻)這個餡了足, 但沒多大驚喜, 覺得有點乾4. 灌湯餃 $19餃子size 很大隻, 可惜皮破了, 完全吃不到湯汁, 但總算餡料豐富5. 蒸腐皮夾(中點) $15這款點心只有蓮香居才有, 初時以為黑色的是皮蛋..原來是冬菇絲, 還有甘荀, 西芹等, 夾在一層層腐皮中間..幾特別..c6 就非常喜歡... 這裡地方寬敞, 阿姐推著點心車...茶客亦沒有蜂擁而上..至於外賣, 在收銀台付了錢, 就可耐心等候, 不用自己到廚房拿, 不過這樣..等候的時間會較長..至於衛生....呵呵呵!…Read More

開學前一天,帶小妮子和小伙子往文武廟祈福,想其讀書聰明,學業進步,早上來到上環,在蓮香居門前落車,飲茶先?拜神先? 不如飲茶先,來到二樓,剛好有人離開,可以立刻有檯,我們都要茶盅,志在懷舊。點心車和大水壺對小伙子來說並不陌生,因去年帶他來過,但小妮子則感到很有興趣。點了叉燒包,牛肉腸粉,叉燒腸粉,艇仔粥,雞批,牛肉燒賣,糯米雞,燒賣,西洋菜餃,還有很應景的三元及第粥。普洱茶味甘醇,顏色深如琥珀,一飲潤喉,對小伙子則嫌濃,但也略懂欣賞其茶韻。腸粉米漿蒸得細滑,不消一分鐘已全部消滅,雞批外型頗吸引,幸好底部沒有烤焦,(之前見有其他食客的食評食到黑似炭的底),內有西芹和雞粒,雖無牛油香味,但酥皮鬆脆,有水準;艇仔粥及三元及第粥,用銻煲仔上,祇是十二和十四元一煲,份量十足,粥底很棉,加入甚少吃的生滾豬肝、豬粉腸和豬肚等,令煲粥滋味無窮,加上油炸鬼和蔥花,說比魚翅更好吃也不為過;糯米雞,略嫌飯邊有點硬,餡料則甚豐,味道亦好;牛肉燒賣,燒賣,西洋菜餃和叉燒包都是水準之作。侍應加水頻密,又好口:「老細!今年賺多的。」而我的新年願望主要是「三元及第」呢!…Read More
