The Full List of 36 MICHELIN Star Restaurants in The MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2025⭐️
2025-03-05

The full list of the 7th The MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2025 has been announced. This year showcases a total of 462 dining venues, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Phang Nga Province, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Udon Thani Province, Khon Kaen Province, and for the first time in its eighth edition, the new area of Chonburi Province.

The most noteworthy and exciting news is that this year a restaurant finally earned the first Three MICHELIN Stars in Thailand! As Mr. Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guides, commented: 'With the country’s first-ever ‘Three MICHELIN Stars’ restaurant, 2025 definitely marks a significant and historic year for Thailand on the international gastronomic map.’

🎉 A Historic Moment! Thailand Has Its First Three MICHELIN Stars Restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sorn, Bangkok ⬆️

Led by Chef Ice (Mr. Supaksorn “Ice” Jongsiri), Sorn focuses on promoting the culinary culture of Southern Thailand, blending traditional and modern flavours. Since starting with One MICHELIN Star in 2019, the following year it was upgraded to Two Stars and has ranked second in Asia's 50 Best Restaurants. This time, it has finally reached new heights in its own history and that of Thai cuisine!

The Michelin inspectors believe they use exceptional quality of ingredients. Whether it’s Phuket lobster, Andaman squid, or Tapi River river prawns, they all showcase endless charm on the table at Sorn. The menu and service rhythm are seamlessly arranged. Their ability to consistently provide satisfying food and service quality is precisely what allows them not just to chase goals, but to become the standard themselves.

Two Stars Restaurant ⭐️⭐️

Côte by Mauro Colagreco, Bangkok ⬆️

Another restaurant making good progress is the fusion restaurant located in Capella Bangkok. Their dishes combine the essence of Mediterranean, French, and Italian cuisines, carefully selecting seasonal ingredients and keeping the menu updated. They have a unique understanding of how to interpret gastronomy using contemporary cooking techniques, allowing diners to fully appreciate their refined skills!

In addition, Côte's sommelier, Mr. Thansith Wasinonth is also the winner of The MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2025 Sommelier Award! Everyone appreciates his confident yet slightly humble attitude, and his wine pairing recommendations are exceptionally professional. If you have the chance to visit, be sure to see if you can find him!

R-Haan, Bangkok

Although the superstar of Thai restaurants is Sorn this year, we must not forget R-Haan, which also earned Two MICHELIN Stars in the past alongside Sorn and has achieved this honour for six consecutive years! When they were both interviewed by Michelin, R-Haan's chef, Mr. Chumpol Jangprai said: ‘Thai cuisine is the cuisine of the world.’ He has consistently committed to using Thai agricultural products to create healthier and flavourful Thai herbal dishes, while also paying careful attention to the details of exquisite plating. Among them, the appetizer is presented like a jewellery box filled with an array of exquisite gems, which represent different regions of Thailand! Now, they trail slightly behind Sorn, maybe next year they will reclaim their place alongside Sorn as a Three MICHELIN Stars restaurant.

Baan Tepa, Bangkok

Restaurant manager Mrs Yupa (Ying) Sukkasem is the winner of The MICHELIN Guide Service Award from the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Additionally, Baan Tepa's tireless efforts in promoting sustainable development and achieving zero waste have been recognised by MICHELIN for their contribution to the dining industry. This is their first certification as a MICHELIN Green Star!

One Star Restaurant ⭐️

The MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2025 features 28 One Star restaurants, among which four accept online reservations via OpenRice. Additionally, four restaurants are first time promoted on the list, including AKKEE in Nonthaburi Province, near Bangkok (to be introduced later); AVANT, led by a Singaporean chef; GOAT, which combines Eastern and Western elements in Thai cuisine while using homemade spices and local ingredients; and Aulis in Phang Nga Province, which offers ‘the chef's table’ concept to create a multi-course tasting menu. Meanwhile, the modern Thai restaurant Coda has been promoted from a MICHELIN recommendation to a One Star Restaurant, as the  inspectors were impressed by its simple presentation and the richness of its flavours!

AKKEE, Nonthaburi(🆕 New on the list)

It creates a mystery atmosphere by dim lighting to allow diners more focus on enjoying the food. The restaurant's owner and head chef, Mr Sittikorn (Ou) Chantop, is also the winner of this year's MICHELIN Guide Young Chef Award. The inspectors commented that he specialises in using uncommon ingredients and showcases the delicious aspects of traditional Thai cuisine with innovative techniques. His dishes reflect his passion for cooking and exceptional skills, that's why he earned Young Chef this year. Hope that he will continue to bring more exciting traditional Thai dishes to everyone.

Ōre

The shining new star of 2024 is Ōre, a Japanese-style creative fine dining restaurant with only eight seats led by the owner and head chef, Mr. Dimitrios Moudios. Their 30-course creative menu left a deep impression on the MICHELIN inspectors, especially the dishes featuring a variety of rare Thai ingredients, such as mineral water from the Sai Yok Noi waterfall in Kanchanaburi. However, what is even more impressive is that each dish offers a unique and artistic flair, showcasing the chef's rich and varied cooking skills.

Currently, their set menu is around THB 6,590. You may upgrade with wine pairing or tea pairing to enhance your enjoyment. "A key point to note is that the restaurant specifies that they will not adjust the 100% menu for vegetarians, vegans or those with allergies to any ingredients. Additionally, to ensure timely service in food preparation, guests are advised to arrive at the restaurant 10 minutes before their reservation time. If you’re planning to visit, make sure to remember this!
